It's surely good news that Motherwell are also putting something on the table!! They may get offered more elsewhere, in fact they will get offered more elsewhere, but if we make them our best offer, they like it here (MFC and Scotland), know the set up, may feel we are getting closer to doing something in Europe (Europa league qualification would be great, and I genuinely believe we are getting closer with experience???)... The problem people had with the prize money was it was unevenly weighted towards 1st and 2nd places. Rangers are gone, and it's sneakily been changed to be unevenly weighted towards 1st. Why? Does Lawell have incriminating photos of all the other chairmen? Technically celtic won't get more money, but the gap between 1st and 2nd is now bigger than 2-12, surely by any logic that's mental! While I agree success should be rewarded, surely weighting it so heavily towards a club whose finances dwarf the entire league combined is just making things worse???

It's just sad! While I see the benefit, of 11 teams, 1 gets less, 1 gets the same, 9 get slightly more, how the fuck did they allow celtic to keep their share? Effectively increasing the gap between celtic and the rest! Obviously with us sitting 2nd, it could be us that takes the hit for this, but even if we finished 4th and actually end up slightly better off, I'm still disgusted by it!!

So unless we play boca juniors, it's unlikely to get another airing. We do seem to have used the petrol blue "3rd strip" as our away strip this season with our "away strip" becoming last seasons away strip. Not that it matters, technically I'm still wearing the current strip for 7s then.

I think one of the main problems at ibrox is the manager. McCoist is not getting the best from decent players like black, shiels templeton, sandaza. He also inexplicably thought an ageing Brazilian defender (Cribari) would help n the Scottish 3rd division, and apparently thought the dreadful argyriou and Faure would do well there. They should have looked at how teams like Gretna, Ross county, Inverness and even livvy came up, building a team to win each league, with good players from that level or slightly above. I think Law could do well there, but don't think Humphrey who is a bit of an enigma, is the sort of player the need in the 2nd and 1st division. I really hope neither of them go there. Also still can't believe how bad we were at ibrox!!!

To defend hateleys set pieces slightly, I think the intention is to fizz the ball across the box at about head height, meaning there's a fine line between hitting the first defender, and flying over everyone. Perhaps we'd have more success if he honed his lob it in about the penalty spot technique?

They are apparently pretty from at home, appearing to set up to draw 0-0, with a midfield of Rae and Hughes about as mobile as madge from benidorm

Whilst I agree about the over optimism, a lot of it is tongue in cheek! I find it hard to believe you (mjc) are genuinely so pessimistic and have not just created/become a caricature of a miserable bugger.
