Surely 2 x 206 as we only play half our games at home!
-
I'd imagine this does not include this season so far? I'd have thought the 2 well attended European games, our split of a 40,000 odd gate at Ibrox and the money brought in for Jamie murphy should see us break even this year? Shame we didn't get a cup run, but we're well placed for a top 6 finish, with 2nd a realistic target, certainly European qualification would be our minimum target for the season given out position! Perhaps the structuring of bonuses needs addressed? Perhaps it should be based on overall performance targets, rather than individual games? Any bonus I've ever got has involved meeting several targets, personally and as a company....

I noticed at the Everton friendly, almost every one of them looks like an athlete, 6ft plus athletes at that!

The issues the fans are talking about are: Too many chiefs SPL, SFL, SFA Distribution of wealth Pricing Summer football Repetive fixture list More promotion and relegation opportunities (helps with above) Changes to fixture schedules for TV Safe standing areas Basically everything they don't discuss when they go to hampden!

I agree with that. Just unfortunate I suppose. Despite it being a honking night, I was quite looking forward to it. Although, I still don't see how they thought there would be a great improvement after initial inspection? Not blaming motherwell, costs them money, and makes them look bad, so they'd have wanted it on.

More I think about it, with the weather deteriorating and given the travel time and travel conditions, if it was in doubt earlier, why wait until 2 hrs befor KO? Sometimes I think games are called off hastily, when conditions are improving, suppose its a tricky one, but conditions today were bad and getting worse.

Cruel irony this game was in midweek because of the pointless winter break, when weather was very mild for the time of year! Shame for any united fans making another wasted trip! Could argue if it was in enough doubt after 1st inspection, why did they leave decision so late?

I'm not sure reading the reports if 12-12-18 has been agreed, or they have agreed to a change. The reports suggest that specific model has been agreed, but I'm hoping they have jumped the gun, and they have agreed to look into the options, as opposed to steaming ahead. Someone had posted a response from Leann Dempster saying when a decision was to be made the fans would be consulted through the 'well society, but at that point they had only agreed to look into the options, not on the exact model. Here is a quote from BBC sport website: "The clubs were united in their view about the need for change," said SPL chief executive Neil Doncaster. "I firmly believe that any change can only come from consensus and there's one consensus model for change going forward. "The SPL clubs have been clear today that they, in principle back this being taken to the next stage."

They do them in blocks. Makes sense, as they can pick out meaningful games, no point trying to guess what the key games will be in August. Having said that, in previous seasons the schedule was roughly; rangers away, celtic away, rangers away, celtic away, Edinburgh derby, rangers away, celtic away, old firm game, celtic away, rangers away, celtic away, token Kilmarnock v Aberdeen game, rangers away.....
-
They do a Motherwell tartan that's grey with C&A in it. Nice and quite subtle. Not linked to MFC though (although I think you get (or got) a discount with a season ticket??).
-
I thought the case was that the one governing body and fairer distribution of money has been agreed, everything else is to be decided upon.

Never played the game, but Harkins is a player I've always thought looks pretty good. I was surprised to see killie let him go!
-
McCall gave a strong impression he planned to replace Murphy, and that he had someone in mind already. Can't remember if it was pre or post match interview?
-
Get you now! I wondered why nobody came on saying "beckham's past it" or "Henry's over rated".
-
Kenny miller or Barry robson if you're lucky!
-
Boo! It takes an extreme cockiness, but as a fan it's great! If the keeper stays still, they get their comeuppance, but that's the beauty of it in a way!
-
I agree, he got the right balance of playing to our own strengths, without completely ignoring there's. Couldn't argue with his reasoning on benching higdon; his lack of place, leaving him too far from midfield and isolating him, leading to long ball with nobody to knock it down for; definite improvement, and had we taken out chance, could have been a 1-0 victory.
-
Not exclusive to rangers connections, same for those with connections to celtic. Not sure if its the same folk? As long as they are giving their all for Motherwell, I couldn't care less who they supported as a boy, played for before us, who their dad, brother, cousin played for.... I'd rather they didn't do double page spreads in the tabloids about it, but all publicity is good publicity, and the reality is, unless there is an OF angle to the story, the Scottish media ain't interested!
-
Agree with that Tid, the fact that a lot of the abuse on here directed at McCall references his rangers links suggests there are a vocal minority who can't see past that, despite how well he is doing. Hately is also probably a victim of who his father was, and also his own success, people forget he's only 22/23.
-
Hateley dead ball hits the first man, no change there. As a few have said, had we not got the penalty, game might have fizzled out to a 0-0? Great chance, so disappointed, but not a game I was expecting much from.
-
You need to download anything? Im only getting sound, on my work computer so a bit wary of downloading software.
-
Barry ferguson in.
-
In the opinion of most, yes, but Stuart McCall (as much as I'm a fan) still seems to think hately can play midfield.
-
My only worry about losing ojamma and/or murphy is that it forces McCall to start playing hately in midfield again! :

How many matches are we planning abandoning? Is it not a gamble worth taking that we will complete 99% of games? Although if the new system is cheap and efficient, can't do any harm I suppose, just the contingency plan is a bit pointless (IMO).
