Read that too on another site, and thought it was surprising or a misunderstanding as Andy p said. Aberdeen fans don't seem to keen on the fixture, they have Dundee at dens on the Saturday, and as they are due to play us at FP 3 times this season, no trains on Boxing Day.... Not many expected.

It's not too bad getting parked, but can take a while to get back on to the main road after the game. Come off at st James roundabout (exit after airport) take the 1st exit, follow the road round, through a set of lights, and turn right at the next set of lights, then right again travelling back the way you came parallel to the main road. Stadium is a short walk from there, that road swings to the left and the ground is about 400m from there.

Was that not Zaine Francis-Angol? I might be wrong? But was he not on trial for ages before we signed him for that reason?

Interesting choice playing on "black Friday" when a lot of folk traditionally go out for a drink after clocking off. Could either be a pretty good crowd, pretty poor crowd, or the folk who can't make it are cancelled out by those who decide to go for the novelty (or can't always make Saturday games). Think that's all bases covered! I think I might go. Quite an easy one to get to by car, and I always think there's a bit of magical about evening games under the floodlights!

Lets all do the boaby!!!! I hate how we can't turn a game round, have no plan b, and nobody to bring off the bench and win a game!!! Just gutted I decided Christmas presents were more important than a Motherwell game! Great result, 2nd in the league! McCall must go!!!!
-
The way McGhee left and the build up to it left a bad taste, BUT, I have never seen a Motherwell team look fitter and ready to go than in McGhee's 1st season!! I'm sure if you could take the best qualities of butcher, McGhee, gannon, brown and McCall you would have one of the best managers on the world. Anyway... WE ARE ALL STUART MCCALL!!!!!

It sounds personal.

That's a sneaky one, as its a better view. Someone planning taking kids could contact stmirren, see what they say, if you don't ask, you don't get, and would be good PR if they let you buy in advance or whatever at £2. £2 is better than making the kids stay home or all of you staying home.

The unfortunate thing is, the "big games" come against big teams with resources that reflect that. "Big games" against teams at our own level we have about a 50/50 record. Levante are about 5th in la liga, behind Barcelona, Real Madrid and Europa league and super cup winners atletico Madrid. Panathinaikos, old rangers and celtic all have resources 10 times and more what we have, any result against a team like that is a freak result, a real upset.

Just to clear up on the guy that got chucked out, they weren't fighting about the game. Guy appeared in front of us in the 2nd half (hadn't noticed him before then anyway), and was completely pissed and generally being a nuisance (he sat next to a bunch of young girls, who I'm pretty sure he wasn't with), he then stole the boy in fronts programme from under his seat and tried to stick it up his jumper. Being very drunk, he wasn't subtle, got caught in the act, and got aggressive when confronted about it by a couple of guys, and appeared to be kicking the boy in front (who he stole the programme off) so the folk round about called for the stewards who ejected him. Just 1 drunk idiot, nothing to do with the how the game was going, as I doubt he even knew the score.

While I can completely understand folks frustrations and disappointment, Jose mourinho isn't looking at the SPL as his next step, and cristiano ronaldo and lionel messi aren't dreaming of replacing Humphrey and ojamma in the summer. (Anyway messi would still get stick from the east stand for trying to take on too many men or not winning enough high balls ) I was really disappointed with last night, mostly as we just went out with a whimper, i think thats what really irks folk! We lacked any urgency or fight, and not for the 1st time this season seemed quite content to be losing. That is something that HAS to be addressed! Perhaps we have too many heartless players (Humphrey, hately, murphy)? Perhaps we lack leadership, lasley and hammell, our most experienced players, are great, but they both seem quite nice, quiet guys. I don't understand why McCall takes so long to change things, and when he does I often wonder why he makes the changes he does, but that's one of the biggest criticisms of managers the world over! I think McCall on the whole is doing well, we are great away from home, and I just think we need a plan B for when we are struggling to break a team down at home! A replacement for Jennings has to be top of the shopping list in January. Having finished 3rd, played in the champions league, currently sitting 3rd, 4 points behind celtic, been in a cup final, What exactly do people want??
-
My thoughts exactly! It's Radio Aberdeen.
-
I think you're wrong, but who cares!! Jamie murphy seems to love scoring in cup games! I'm predicting another goal for us now!
-
You don't need a licence to listen to the radio though. Sounds like we're absorbing a lot of pressure and looking to hit on the counter. Summariser seems a bit partisan! Come on Motherwell!!!!!
-
I was looking for live commentary, open all mics is pish. (I like open all mics when we're not playing, but pish when we are)
-
Is it online or mw?
-
Listening to "open all mics" guys a farce, got the team and subs wrong, called Randolph incident "an assault" and then said the loser could combine Christmas and end of season partys which given both teams are a win away from 1st/2nd in the SPL seems unfair.
-
Hammell with Francis-Angol to lb.
-
This! He also seems to disappear for weeks, even months, then is back with a vengeance for 2 or 3 weeks.
-
Not Aberdeen, they normally go out to a 2nd division team!
-
I think "struggle" has negative connotations, whereas maybe saying you expect it to be tight, may be fairer. Games against similar opposition are always going to be a challenge, but we've "struggled" to enough victories to be reasonably optimistic.
-
Half the teams go out in the first round! * So if you go through more than 50% of the time, you're in the minority and doing well. (*that stat isn't 100% accurate in this instance because its the 4th round and loads of teams went out already, but hopefully the point gets across)
-
I don't ever remember you forecasting a Motherwell victory, I always presume you are a caricature; as to an optimist like myself, it doesn't compute to be as pessimistic as you come across, hence why I don't take your opinion seriously. All form and recent history suggests a draw or Motherwell victory. I'm going 1-1 or 3-1 to us.
-
It's impossible to take you seriously, how can you think we are going to lose every single game? We are probably about 50/50 against SPL sides in the cups, we got to the final 2 years ago, beating SPL sides on the way.
-
It was Barry Douglas, think he's what you'd call a wing back. Humphrey was decent last night, I thought he was our best player!
