  1. I can't disagree with you, but.... Sometimes this patient play can be fine, I sometimes feel the fans are a bit impatient, pass it about without going forward, and people are screaming to "get it up the park", get it up the park and lose it and it's "what are you hoofing it for". Obviously in an ideal world, quick passes on the deck will quickly move the ball forward, and sometimes you need to force it a bit and show some urgency, like we did early 2nd half in both home games. It's not the holding onto the ball that's the problem, but I agree that eventually you need to take a gamble and get a ball into the box, or pick out a killer pass (or try) when we have possession. We seem to be able to keep the ball ok, we just don't do anything with it.
  2. Levante did not look brilliant, no, but to compare that to getting pumped at home by a team from Finland.... I'd compare last night to one of the several defeats we've had to average Celtic or rangers sides. They are operating at that sort of level, i'd guess their football budget is around 10 times ours? Perhaps there was also an element of them stopping us play, they always had plenty men behind the ball, although our slow deliberate build up play made that easy, they could get from one penalty box to the other in 3 passes, we wanted 30.
  3. Mypa 47 was worse! They were dreadful, we were worse. Llanelli 1st leg, wasn't at fir park, but also worse, although there were circumstances. Anyway, we didn't play well tonight, didn't think they were world beaters, but too many of our guys had an off night. If we'd played like we played v pana, we'd have given them a fright. Apart from 10 minutes before the 2nd goal it was a bit of a damp squib! Can't wait for next Thursday....
  4. I'd have the same, but cummins for Kerr, and a victory for defeat!! I think if we could get an early goal, and please not give away free kicks near our penalty area, or if we do, defend them properly.
  5. If we get any sort of result tonight, 2nd leg might be on tv I'd think??
  6. That's pretty much what I was going to say. The money would need to be upfront too, otherwise what if the benefactor(s) got bored.
  7. Aye, just thought they'd give it in £s on the website, £30 isnt an excessive mark up if that was the case, keeps it simple. Wouldn't be surprised if levante are taking the piss slightly though, anyone know what the prices are like in la liga outwith barca and real Madrid?
  8. Just to add a stupid question, but it says on website €35, have we to pay in euros? I make that about £28.50?
  9. Are you mixing up Malaga and Mallorca? Are Malaga not owned by an Arab and been splashing the cash last 2 years? Read an article, and guy wants to build a port similar to puerto banus in between Malaga and Marbella, and bought the club to win favour with the locals. My info may be outdated though, and the bubble may have burst?
  10. I wonder what they're charging the home fans? I thought it was only in Scotland and England tickets were that expensive. My Spanish isnt the best, but on there website it appeared to be on the season ticket for them, which started at about €300 IIRC. Suppose most folk are booked up now, and it would be cutting your nose off to spite your face to not buy a ticket!

  12. This was what I was asking. If he doesn't sign for us, he's a free agent and can sign anywhere outwith the window, which may make him quite desirable to a team that loses a player late, or picks up injuries in September. If he signed with us for 2 months, would he then be in limbo come november? So he'd be aswell to sign until January. Personally I'd like him on a 4 year deal, and we can sell him when he proves his fitness!
  13. Can he do that? Would he be a free agent after 2 months? Or would he have to wait until January window to go elsewhere?
  14. The lady in the ticket office says the away tickets should arrive tomorow, and go on sale on Wednesday. No details on price.
  15. To be fair to ojamma, I don't think he's greedy, I just think he lacks the ability to lift his head with the ball at his feet, and has zero awareness.
  16. This was Sevilla fans, coincidentally at a game vs levante last season. I'd guess this is how most Spanish fans feel about barca and real Madrid? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zwD3lnhV-k8&feature=youtube_gdata_player
  17. If James signs, it will be like a milk float hitting a brick wall, in my pants.
  18. Silly point, but if we were going to sign faddy, why wouldn't we sign him on Thursday or Friday for the killie game?? I want him to sign (I'm semi'd up at the thought), but why would we wait until the eve of the euro game?
  19. I'm not sure if either of you are serious or not?
  20. For the price of a ticket for fir park, they could probably see Barcelona AND Real Madrid at the ciudad de Valencia.
  21. 500 odds? Reckon a lot of folk who couldn't make Athens will go (like me), a lot of folk who are lucky (or daft?) enough to be able to do both, and I've heard of a few travelling in from summer holidays elsewhere in Spain. So probably about the same as Athens?
  22. Club charter is dear, but they won't miss the ICT game on Sunday!
  23. I think it's only really British, German, Dutch and maybe scandanavian fans that travel. I'm sure I read an article about it a few years ago, and fans from a lot of countries don't really travel (in fact I'm not even sure about Dutch fans for club games?).
  24. I'd guess the tickets would be 15-20 euros. Has ko time been confirmed yet?
  25. Hoping for goals and a victory to boost the confidence, particularly of the forward players. 3-1 Think I'm going to go, but more than slightly put off by the £22 entry price.
