I suppose if you’ve not yet been offered a new deal or are angling for better terms. Helping the club get an extra £120k might help your case.
-
What’s his contract situation? Would love to see him back involved if he can rediscover the form of his 1st 6 months (much like I said about Main).
-
To be slightly fairer to the players and credit them with some objectivity, the coverage of Scottish football would massively favour Old firm players as you’ll only see Turnbull in a game against a team with 20 times our resources.
-
I didn’t realise he hadn’t appeared since Ross County cup game in January. According to soccerbase he didn’t play at all the 2nd half of last season either, is that right? I like him, but if he’s not injured, whys he not playing (or why is he here?).
-
If we could get back the Main of last winter into spring I’d be delighted if he signed, the Main we’ve seen this season, not so much. Can see James Scott getting a lot more game time next season, unless we bring in someone better?
-
Would be disappointed to lose both Aldred and McHugh. McHugh is versatile and Aldred has been steady this season. Losing both of them would leave us weaker in central defence.

I’m not sure exactly how the voting works, but other than being involved in 3-4 games v Motherwell, players are going to base their opinion on televised games, given that all Rangers and Celtic’s away games are televised that’s going to give them much more exposure... Turnbull has probably only really started getting wider recognition over the last few weeks, which was perhaps after the votes were made. I thought Lewis Ferguson might’ve pipped him as he has had a bit more exposure over the season and had a strong start. Maybe Kent won some votes for punching Scott Brown....

I don’t think Cadden was 100% fit before his injury. IIRC he came back from an injury a good bit earlier, but looked 80% fit all season as well as being played as a wing back, so no wonder we’ve not seen the best of him.

E-sports Clubs are “signing” top e-sports players to represent them playing FIFA on games consoles.
-
What does that make Lawrence Shankland worth? (the comparison being scoring in the Scottish championship)
-
It’s a good problem to have, but do you take a good offer if it comes in, or hold out in the hope of getting the benefit of him in the team and/or getting more later? Realistically we need to sell him by next summer or his value drops off a cliff as his contract will be in its last year.
-
Better players who have contributed a great deal more have come and gone. He looks promising, but not entirely convinced he’s not a flash in the pan. We can’t tie everyone down on long term contracts, or we’ll end up with a bloated squad of guys who aren’t good enough. Occasionally one will slip through the net. Whether that applies to Hastie and he goes on to great things, or if he ends up playing part time in 5 years we can’t predict.

2018/2019 Game 34:Hamilton (A) April 20th 3pm Kick off

Despite only being 31 he’s not kicked a ball in 18 months and you could argue chucked it when he decided to stay at Rangers in 2012 when he was at his peak. -

Aye, your post just seemed relevant to quote. Always looked a bit mental over there when I was a kid. Can imagine all sorts went unreported. Imagine the 80s with decent CCTV and social media? You’d have opposition fans tweeting videos of you at the fence to your employer demanding you be sacked etc. I think the need for a witch hunt against folk that publicly muck up can be a bit much. -

Social media has a lot today with it too. There’s a clamour from all sides to jump on it, so the clubs have to be seen to act. Especially given our stance on “strict liability “is I think a ban for the rest of the season isn’t really much of a deterrent, but a life ban for a kid is on the harsh side. Somewhere in between probably correct. The punishment the Hibs boy got is off the charts! He’ll lose his job if he hasn’t already and all the other consequences that will come along with that, I’m not condoning what he did and understand why they wanted to make an example of him, but it wasn't in the same ball park as the boy at Birmingham, but got the same punishment. -
What a chance to become an FA cup legend, he was a baw hair from getting something on that penalty!

2018/19 Game 32: Aberdeen (A)April 3rd 7.45pm kick off

Would be great if we could go into the game on Sunday with a win taking us into the top 6. -
Last day Relegation party at NDP would be good though! Could excorcise some demons of the horror shows we’ve witnessed there!

I believe the thought process of the SPFL is... Rangers have to play Celtic, it has to be at Ibrox, it can’t be the midweek game and it can’t be the week Celtic are likely to seal the title.... Then throw out 29 other fixtures wherever whenever, doesn’t really matter. Was made abundantly clear last year when they announced the location, date, time and broadcaster of that game before the top 6 was even confirmed.
-
He had a bit of something about him, could really strike a ball and good vision, but was nowhere near good enough to get away with his lack of any physical attributes. If you could put his ability into an athlete you’d have a player.
-
thanks? i’m going to lollipop land anyway.

I was going to suggest the same thing about donating the vouchers to the Well society. According to Alan Burrows on Twitter it’s conpleting the 1st half rather than starting the 2nd that’s the point of no return. I was going to try and cadge your voucher for Saturday too.
-
Guys like yourself are the real losers in this scenario. All you’ve got to show for your £22 is a meaningless voucher. If you can make Saturday £5 seems fair enough to be honest, although if you were there on Wednesday you could’ve paid £27 while the guy next to you has paid £5 and only had to make one trip to Killie.

2018/19 Game 27: Celtic (A) Sunday 24th February 3.00pm Kick Off

I agree about Edouard. The McHugh one was unfortunate. The Aldred one he looked from one angle to swing an arm, but the other they just banged heads. -

Had a bit of a ‘mare in the facts, but that strengthens the point. Although it was more naivety on our part than anything Celtic have done wrong
