I'm a Protestant, but would happily use the word h*n (more often the plural) to describe rangers FC or their fans. Certainly not sectarian, derogatory at worst. I predicted when these laws came out that it would be Motherwell, killie, stmirren... fans that were made an example of. If the boy had a sign saying "we've got the law and he hates proddys" that would be a different story.

Higdon for me, although having voted 1st i see I'm in the minority! His best game in a well shirt, thought he worked hard, helped out in midfield, won a lot of balls in the air, and was treated harshly by the ref.. Ie higdon wins a challenge, foul Higdon loses ball, play on. Not specific to a rangers game, maybe it's due to his perceived big physical player tag??

Based on him being Billy Davies assistant, maybe not him?

He was an RoI international. I remember him, think he was most remembered for being invloved in a dressing room bust up. Sure I saw him score at rugby park?? 6 goals in 19 appearances according to wikipedia. Anyone remember who the bust up was with? I'm thinking Spencer or Davies??

Just to clarify jay, the OF media bias i was referring to was column inches, as opposed to them actually plotting to secure victory for the OF! To be fair to the stmirren fans, I thought the highlights flattered us a bit at first. Having said that, for all stmirrens decent play, they did f*** all with it, whereas we created a few really good chances when we did get on the ball. Higdon most people thought had a poor game, but based on the highlights it was him or Samson for MOTM!! I'll need to remember this in future when I think highlights don't reflect what I saw (through my c&a tinted specs), as we too have a history of lacking a cutting edge or final ball. Although so far this season we've been pretty good!

It was a bit Tongue in cheek. It's far more feasible that in the build up to a match against one of the old firm, we get far more media coverage, and they are always looking for an old firm angle to every story. Mark hateleys son Tom says.... Boyhood Celtic fan Randolph thinks... Gers transfer target murphy is.... Or previously... My big brother chris, by John Sutton Former ibrox hero Malcolm, McCormack, Hughes... Not to mention our favourite old firm media whore Owen coyle! You can't deny that the media is unbelievably weighted towards the old firm, as about 80% of readers (or folk that look at the pictures) support them, it makes sense. Stillvery annoying though!

Some team rangers had! Klos, deboer, ferguson, cannigia, lovenkrands, ricksen, and Billy dodds.

One thing I've noticed about Humphrey since he has joined the club, although his form is up and down, his good games are getting better. He seems to be working on his game. At 1st he could only run, couldn't beat a man, then he started beating men, but couldn't cross, then his balls into the box improved, now he's using his left foot, has got a couple of goals, and is more than just a speed merchant. I'd say his style makes it impossible for him to be effective in every game, some games will suit his style more than others. He is also often picked out for man marking, and has centre halfs covering behind fullbacks to cover his runs, which creates the room for murphy and or law to play. A perfect example was the stjohnstone semi, they kept Humphrey quiet, but murphy ran riot. He did have a quiet game on Saturday, but he didn't really do anything wrong, just didn't get on the ball and running to the beeline as much as we'd like.

I think we are screaming out for another attacking option! We lost Jeffers, Sutton, jones, casagolda who may have been mostly mince, but allowed us to mix it up a bit!! At the moment we have no plan b, and no way of freshening things up or changing things. Saunders injury is a blow too, as him and hately are 2 of our more versatile players.

Nice unbiased view of events from leckie! I normally like his stuff, but the link is the entire match report!! No report on the match at all, just a moan about the referee! I didn't leave the ground talking about brines, I left jumping up and down and singing!! He is a bad referee, but stmirren barely had a shot at goal, if it hadn't been for Samson, it could have been a pumping! They can play all the passes they want, if you don't shoot, you won't score! I thought it was a foul on law, it doesn't matter if you touch the ball if you come through the player from behind to get it! Also, as much as I like the way Hutchison plays, you're going to pick up bookings throwing yourself about like he does. You could argue sone of his challenges are a bit too hard to be classed as hard and fair!

Can see the argument for Forbes to stay in at the expense of Humphrey, he was poor yesterday. Would also give us an option off the bench to maybe change the game. If we do play 4-5-1, we'll need murphy and law to run their socks off to support higdon, and make it a 4-3-3 when we're attacking! Rangers look beatable, but we were terrible against them last season. Jelavic and Naismith are a pair of diving bams, and it wouldn't surprise me if a penalty or free kick is the turning point like yesterday, where ICT looked good for a draw before the penalties and red card. Looking forward to it! Which is a kiss of death!

Certainly not my favourite referee, tends to be overly fussy, and has made bad calls against us in the past. He made some strange decisions yesterday, and lacked any consistency! In his favour though, I saw him in the queue at fir park BUYING tickets for one of the European games last season. Nice to see him supporting Scottish football, and putting his hand in his pocket, a lot of folk make a lot more money out of football than referees, and put nothing back in.

As is rangers being linked with murphy this week!
-
Aye, Richard Gordon said we equalled the record yesterday for starting the season with clean sheets. Might need to practice saving penalties for Sunday!

Stmirren were all style and no substance only had 2 chances of note, and didn't make use of the possession they had. I said on the way out, we probably didn't deserve the 3 points, but as my dad said, neither did they. 3 or 4 really good saves from Samson. Good to see is creating chances! Humphrey was quiet, and higdon had a frustrating day! Anybody got a video of the post match sing song? Won't get that song out my head all night!
-
Nicky law had a very good game, and makes things happen. Thought Forbes was decent too! Craig Samson had a great game, 3 or 4 really good saves.
-
I have the same concern, I'd say our starting 11, plus Forbes and saunders, missing one of yours. We actually aren't too bad if we lose 1 in defence or midfield, as hately and Saunders are versatile, and Forbes can come in. But after murphy and higdon, it's untried inexperienced kids. We are also lacking someone who could come off the bench and change a game, just kids.

If you bang the gate at the east stand, someone will let you in.

We went last season, and I thought they maybe had a problem with the draught coke, hence the smartprice 2l bottles. In killies defence, draught coke costs pennies aswell, it's scandalous it costs nearly £2 for a half pint of it!
-
That's dreadful! Offensively bad maybe?? What was the song being sung at the ICT game, had the drum going most times it was sung? Any ideas?
-
Did they not finish bottom of the 3rd division last year? We went to see them in the 1st round of the league cup, and they beat Cowdenbeath quite comfortably, and looked a good side! So much so I bet them to win the league last season! Oops!

If it's at fir park it will be on telly. If Celtic ate in Europa league it will be Sunday.
