exactly! It's all very well saying it's a £600 jacket, but if it's an Ill fitting, cheap looking, garish number out the bargain bin in cruise, and it's the only piece of clothing you own, it doesn't look good!

what a bawbag! If he had half a brain, he'd understand what it would mean for you to be there. Everyone has a right to be selfish, but unless there is more to it, that's just a shocker! I had a similar thing in a previous job, where the only guy that could swap me refused for no reason other than being a dick! The guy I work with has zero interest or understanding of football or being a fan, and he agreed to swap no problem, although it did benefit him too!

My original thought was that 15000 tickets would be plenty, but I'm coming round to the idea that it's a final at a neutral venue, so if we can sell 50%, we should get 50%. Incidentally, as it's a neutral venue, why is their a "Celtic end"? And will our buses have to take the ridiculous route they had to take for the semi? This rangers and Celtic end nonsense should only apply when they play each other!! Also, if we get 50/50, with the option to return some, presumably we'd have to sell main stand and behind the goals 1st for segregation purposes? If I could pick my seat, I'd choose the north stand, but we wouldn't be allowed to sell that until we'd filled behind the goals.

Who gives a shit? I'm guessing from your name your 27/28, have you not grown out of that nonsense yet?
-
We were in there until about 1215, did that hsppen after that, or was it outside, or both? I know exactly who you mean though, they went in at the same time as us with various cousins, older brothers IDs. We always go there for the Scotland games, and it's much busier, but never any trouble.

Yep! I'm terrible at left and right!

There isn't any roadworks that should greatly affect your travel. Either go to the end of the m74, turn right and go through Rutherglen (main street can be slow, but cops normally do lights to speed through traffic) Or turn left at end of m74, pass parkhead, then go left at the police station, a lot of new roads that way, but will take you out at pomadie.

Avoid congestion by going over the Kingston bridge???
-
I didn't know that! I just knew it used to be replays. Makes sense, as it's at a neutral venue anyway.
-
Would it not be a replay if it's a draw?
-
You often find when a result suits both teams, that's the way it turns out. The day we beat Celtic to hand rangers the title, hibs could afford to lose by 1 goal if I remember right, and rangers just needed to win if Celtic slipped up. The last 5 minutes were a farce, apparently dado prso was dancing in the centre circle during the game. One of the reasons final games are played at the same time, to limit these situations.

Not my suggestion, just what I reckon, based on past experience is most likely to be how it's done. I'd be very surprised if season ticket holders didn't get a couple of days before public sale, and I'd think they will be allowed to buy more than one ticket! Hopefully we can start a cup final ticket thread on Saturday night to discuss further!
-
Can't agree with that! Season ticket holders should get priority (I'm not one), they have supported the club financially, and it's easy to prove with a season ticket. Any other system for prioritising would get messy! We will get far more tickets than we have season ticket holders, and the most likely way of distributing them will be 2 (possibly 4?) per season ticket, then a public sale, I'd guess?? Anyway, maybe we should concentrate on Saturday 1st.
-
I suppose so, in an ideal world, yes. To reverse that argument though, say tickets were in short supply, if you had a ticket, and I didn't, but I had been to far more games than you, would you give me your ticket? Not a dig at you personally (or saying I deserve a ticket more) just a hypothetical example of how, at the end of the day, it's everyman for himself! It's a headache we'd all love to have!
-
I'd guess it's 'flow that does it. There are regular updates on it, I think they link most of the main website stories on it. The event thing is a good idea though.
-
Cheers! Was about to look it up, as i don't remember that one!
-
Was there one in the 80s, or are you counting the Celtic replay? My dad is 61, so was a toddler in 1952, so has only seen 1 final. I was there in '91, but at 9, was a bit young to appreciate it.
-
Our posty doesn't even come on a Monday! We don't get a lot of post, but having jOked about nor getting post on a Monday, I have noticed it's true, I think our guy saves it up and does 2 or 3 double runs a week!
-
Cheers for that! Should have known that! I knew there was nothing between 1952 and 1991, and a final in the early 30s, didn't know the rest. Doesn't change my point though, that a shot at a Scottish cup final us rare!
-
How did they come? Do you get post on a Sunday?
-
El pidge, I'm always banging the drum that footballs too expensive, and agree that spending £20 on a ticket + costs for a game that's on tv is hard to justify, if you were talking about Kilmarnock away the other week, or an international friendly I'd be right behind you! But this is the semi-final of the Scottish cup, a great chance to get to the final, something we've only done 3 times in our 124 year history (I think?).
-
As you say 'well done, it s a great opportunity and I'm really looking forward to it, but being favourites in a game like this doesnt suit us! Stjohnstone will be quietly confident too I think. They have some very good players, and can certainly cause us problems, I think if Motherwell play at our best, as we have done more and more recently, we can match anybody, and stjohnstone should be no problem, but I doubt they'll go out with a wimper like Dundee utd did, and as good as we've played in games, a good start and opponents off days have helped.
-
Does seem a bit ridiculous, for a charge of around £4 or 5 they could send them special delivery, which is guaranteed nxt day. I went to get my tickets the other day at literally 4:32pm, but the ticket office was "closed", I had the cash, and they had the tickets, but they don't sell tickets after 430. You'd think football clubs don't want our money???
-
Celtic are due too many home games after the split, meaning they are likely to play Motherwell, Dundee utd or killie away a 3rd time. Maybe after last year they will balance that up, by us playing Celtic a 3rd time at fir park?? Would mean a 3rd trip to killie, or hearts though, I think???
-
Was talking to a hibs fan about our common hatred of hearts yesterday. They are not a good team, but they are capable of grinding out results. I didn't see much difference in the team that beat us at fir park, and the team we tore apart at tynecastle, just some confidence and luck. If will be a tough game, with plenty route one football. I don't care about Saturday, I just hope the players cone through unscathed!
