I'd bite your hand off for 7 points right now.

As you can see, chock full of relevant information and numerous substantive quotes...

Aberdeen and Hibs have, in theory, a far harder run in than the others...

Does Daley not still have a further year on his contract after this season?

It really should be us now. We have, in just four days, given ourselves a discernible points cushion between those in mid-table. Of course, the gap can be closed just as quickly as it was created... I believe our remaining four games before the split are against Aberdeen, Hibs, Dundee and St Mirren. Obviously, we want to mathematically secure our top six spot as quickly as possible. However, these games could also be significant in deciding our final league position too. A healthy distance between ourselves and the likes of ICT, Ross County, etc at the time of the split could prove to be insurmountable... In saying all that, this is Motherwell we're talking about. I'm still not even taking 6th place for granted yet!

...or at least keep him away from taking any corners.

Ah, such poetic use of our beautiful language. I'm tearing up... I find it incredible that all the 'bois' and 'bois' supporters can't distinguish being loud and proud as they support the team from mindless acts that are going to cost our club money in fines. First of all, the vast majority of people on here actually back the all-singing all-dancing section. There are countless threads on games that feature comments from people praising the efforts of those who try to get a bit of an atmosphere going. There have also been fans who have donated money to the likes of Dee at al for the fantastic projects that have been set up to make our support more colourful. Some people aren't the type that jump and sing and dance about - which is their absolute right. However, they don't complain that others make a racket. What a number of people don't agree with is anything that is going to get our club in trouble with the authorities. Throwing paper in our European tie, smoke bombs, throwing plastic cups at Celtic players on live television are all things that are going to harm our club. How some of you don't understand that I will never, ever know. Just because people are asking you not to fire smoke bombs or throw bits of paper, it doesn't mean that they don't want you having fun or singing as loud as you possibly can. The irony is brilliant that some of you come running on here calling people "pant wetters" when as soon as someone suggests you've done something wrong, you're the ones that get all pissy about it and try to claim that you're better fans than them. Or, for Gaz's sake: See how ur Pure mentul bois? The well r goin 2 b fined cuz sum pure snobby twats at the SFA r no real Football fans like yous Pure maddies.

Only Mr Diggle had Ross County making the top six. It's looking more and more like an inspired prediction...

Steelboy's looking to take MJC's place as the 'star villain' of the forums. He's really raised his game this week. (Raised game = desperate attempts at getting a reaction by even criticising Randolph, as well as players like Higdon and Ojamaa).

1. Celtic 2. Dundee United 3. St Johnstone 4. Hibs 5. Motherwell 6. Kilmarnock

There are now only 8 points separating 2nd position and 11th position in the league. Tight doesn't begin to describe it. So, once all 33 games have been played, what position will we be sitting in? Why? Feel free to make your predictions for the top six teams too...

'Kay.

It was nearer 40%. (sorry)

There's no point. They wouldn't listen anyway. Yes, I do. There are scores of teams all over the country in different leagues and divisions who survive without any money from a television deal. Fantasy world? Why the fuck is cutting your outgoings so that they are less than your income pure fantasy? That attitude is why so many clubs are such a precarious position right now. I don't give a toss what that c***o has to say about anything. If I thought his opinions were valid, I'd happily ignore the fact that Rangers conned and cheated their way for many years just because I don't want to miss them visiting a couple of times a season. How am I talking bollocks if I'm suggesting that the majority of Motherwell's regular 4000 attendees would still turn up to Fir Park if the club showed it cared more about its own fans than anyone else? Competition wouldn't differ as every other club would have to cut their cloth accordingly too. This all started when I said: no fans = no money. Why do television companies screen football matches? Because fans will watch the broadcast. If there are no fans to watch the broadcast, the television companies will not screen the games. Or am I still living in a fantasy world?
-
Bollocks. Sorry, but that's just ridiculous.

No fans = no money.

When scores more season ticket holders are driven away and the clubs raise season ticket and PATG prices up more and more to make up for the shortfall, it will be interesting to see if you're still saying that...

I don't agree with fatcalf's overly-simplistic (in my opinion, but I could be completely wrong) vision but I'll maybe respond to that later. However, the idea that this current proposal is somehow going to help teams catch up quickly is utter pish beyond belief. If anything, it's going to make the top flight in Scotland even more of a closed shop. It's quite conceivable that the bottom four of the top tier would finish the top four of the stupid mini-league year after year after year. Are you telling me, if the new regime was in place just now, that the likes of Dunfermline and Livingston would be finishing above the likes of Hearts and Kilmarnock? This new proposal could see the exact same 12 teams playing in the top-flight for five years or more.
-
Yeah, because we would have had no incentive otherwise...

For me, Reynolds was the most over-estimated Motherwell player for the last 10 years, easily. Not saying he was a bad player or anything like it. However, the praise he received (or, more importantly, the overlooking of mistakes he made) by people on here constantly bemused me.

I'm keen to extend the league but I think this boredom line is being peddled far too much. Whether the league is 12, 14, 16, 18 or 20, we're still going to play Aberdeen, Dundee United, Celtic, Hearts, Hibs, Killie, St Johnstone, etc. If we had a top league of 20, what's left? Do we even have 20 full-time teams in Scotland? Which teams in Scotland have the genuine potential to be a top-flight team? If they're all thrown together in the same league, the boredom factor will just kick in again as there will be no genuine potential replacements. 16 teams for me is about the right balance. It'll freshen things up for those who have only ever known the current top 10/12. Three relegation spots should also ensure plenty movement in and out of the top flight so that there's always a ground or two that hasn't been visited in the previous 12 months at the very least.

Are we now complaining that we still won a game even though we didn't play our best football?
