  1. Only in Scotland would the answer be to pick a player based on his size, with his actual ability to play in that position an irrelevance.
  2. I took some amount of stick today. That was to be expected. However, I did enjoy the "we're in Europe and you've got nothing to play for" comment that I got today. So much wrong, I didn't know where to start. Tells you everything you need to know that they're already convinced they're playing Celtic in the final. But to think that Motherwell have nothing left to play for?
  3. Good point. The majority of people who are season ticket holders at Fir Park who have voted 'yes' on this Motherwell FC fans forum aren't Motherwell fans at all. They don't give a shit about the club.
  4. Everton have given him time, training and support. Human beings don't lose the damage done by career-threatening injuries, whether great players or not. Who's to say he'll ever be "over" it?
  5. No. The thread was clearly made a place for all those against Rangers newco simply being allowed to waltz back into the SPL. As the original poster has stated, it's a thread for all those who would genuinely walk away from SPL football at Fir Park. Anyone like-minded can add a comment. The purpose is to collect a clearer gauge of the number of fans our club might lose on the basis of admitting a Rangers newco to the league. There's already a thread for people to talk about the Rangers debacle, where all views and opinions have been expressed. There's nothing stopping you starting a thread to gauge the number of fans who feel we need the Old Firm to survive, if you so wish. Back on topic, I'm not a season-ticket holder, but I wouldn't be stepping inside Fir Park or any other SPL ground if the other SPL chairmen don't use this (possibly once in a lifetime) opportunity to stand up for themselves and the league as a whole.
  6. Keep Rangers and Celtic happy.
  7. It's days like this (visiting my parents and can only get a sneaky look at the internet on my phone) that I realise how much I miss the Shoutbox. Mind you, with scores like this, who cares?!
  8. Exactly. Can't believe so many people have simply written St Johnstone off as any sort of threat, let alone our main threat.
  9. The Rangers fans I've spoken to so far have had the same answer: "I'd never want Celtic to win". One was genuinely surprised when I pointed out that a Motherwell win would put us on the same points as Rangers. It's crazy how oblivious some of them are to what's over their shoulder.

    Vs Hearts

Watching the highlights there, it looks like Lasley's first yellow was much softer than the second. Being on a yellow, it was a silly tackle to make as he was hardly favourite to reach it.

    Vs Hearts

They've got a game in hand on us as it stands right now. Two in hand of Hearts.

    Vs Hearts

Complaining that a gesture from a Hearts player offended us confirms to the SFA that such a procedure is necessary. End of.

    Vs Hearts

You're kidding, aren't you? Some folk on here would have slevering at the prospect of running home to their keyboards to complain about what the mean old Hearts player did. Why are we wasting time arguing about a Hearts player? Who cares? We pumped the Jambos!
  14. Settle for third?! Mathematically, we could still finish eighth. Fine, it's not going to happen, but still a reminder that we've achieved nothing yet. I agree with Wellfan1984. Let's just aim to get as many points as possible and see where we end up. It's been an amazing season so far. Let's see where it takes us...

    Vs Hearts

    Absolute nail on head.
  16. Jeezo, it's was only a fortnight or so ago that we were below Hearts and St Johnstone and McCall needed to be sacked! 6 points is nothing. If we're still third by the time of the split, then I'll (maybe) start expecting a top 3 finish.

Yeah, don't always agree, but I'd say that's bang on.

    Some time last week...
  20. I'll take a 1-0 win for us right now.
  21. Genuine question: Is there a point when the club can say 'If all you're going to do is abuse our players, then you'll no longer be allowed into Fir Park'?
  22. You cared enough to reply? When did you last get your hole?
  23. Stu

    Randolph

It'd also be easy for him to say "I've given good service to the club since I've been here and have played well in most games. But if that still means I have to take abuse from my own supporters, then I'm slapping in a transfer request and getting the hell out of this mental asylum."
  24. I wish some of our fans could be sacked. What an embarrassment.
