  1. I blame Pingu. Put the mockers on us.
  2. Aye, it's fine. I was just wondering why you said you were disappointed we didn't sign a player who you thought "didn't really give a fuck".
  3. Am I the only one who rates Hutchison, Craigan AND Saunders ahead of Gunning? I'm not saying he'd be the worst signing in the world, or anything like it, but I won't be too upset if he doesn't join us...
  4. Steady, I'm still 20 years away from that!

    New Strip

Away strip looks like pyjamas to me...
  6. A without a shadow of a doubt. Loved the very similar one released a few years ago...
  7. So Nicky Law's had one good half, according to Twitter... Watch a thread be created within the next 24 hours where he'll be heralded as our saviour who'll help us finish at least 3rd this season, and who'll go for at least £5m when an English Premier League comes in for him (just because he's had a good pre-season game against a diddy team)... Until about the end of September, when the same thread will have posters stating that he's shit and that players like Lawless, Smith and Pollock should be getting a game instead (just because he's still settling in to the team, the SPL-style of football and the area)...
  8. Ultimately, I'm just proud that we were there. It reminded why I'm so glad I support Motherwell and not one of the Old Firm. The game itself was very poor, but the conditions may have had something to do with it. It's not a time for pointing fingers and blaming anyone (though I'm very tempted), but a number of players did not turn up today. One thing I will say, the focus seemed to be on Jennings not closing Ki down quick enough for the first goal, but Gunning should never have been so easily turned by Commons in the immediate build up.
  9. Hooper is target number 2...
  10. Good shout. He has to be the priority.
  11. So who should be our first target be? Who should we be taking out? Nothing too serious, a wee metatarsal injury caused by a sneaky stamp on the foot...
  12. WILL WE PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE OFFER SUTTON A CONTRACT THAT HE'LL WANT TO SIGN!!!
  13. I don't like this 0.1% complacency that you're showing now we've reached a final...
  14. What a great interview from Craigan there on Sky.
  15. Really would love 100% confirmation that Jennings is not suspended for the final...
  16. Interesting that people believe McCall has only two selection headaches. Has McCall established a formation that he regularly sticks to? That's a genuine question because I haven't been to any recent games. Do we know if he'll likely go 4-4-2? Or is there a chance he may go 4-3-3, 4-5-1, 3-5-2, etc? This will have a big impact on team selection.
  17. I just think people are building themselves up a little too much... There's nothing wrong with optimism and believing we will win. I'd rather that than believe we're going to be shite every game. However, I can't believe people think this is going to be a cakewalk. Pride comes before a fall.
  18. I know the likes of Aberdeen have been poor for a number of years and Hearts are financially screwed if Romanov pulls out, but I still see Celtic, Rangers, Hearts, Hibs, Aberdeen and Dundee United as Scotland's six biggest clubs. As a result, any time we finish in the top six, I think it is a fantastic achievement. I don't think you can ever have any expectations for cup competitions, as they are often decided by the luck of the draw (literally).
  19. Can't believe I'm saying this, but... if ever a thread needed an MJC post, this is it.
  20. I've never ever felt like that about a Motherwell game - and certainly not before a cup semi-final! I think we are favourites in the game, due to our form and the space that players like Humphrey and Murphy can possibly exploit. However, I'll be a nervous wreck in the build-up to this and won't take a thing for granted until the full-time whistle is blown - even if we're 3-0 up!

    Europe

Now that's a tricky one! Honestly, I'd want us to rest our first team and give some youngsters some first-team action and not be too disappointed if Celtic took the 3 points off us... EDIT: And to answer GazzyB's question, as St Johnstone's other two fixtures are away to Dundee United and home to Celtic, I reckon a draw or ST Johnstone victory would be ideal.
