1. Rangers ------ Beattie (an inspired signing) and Miller up front could be lethal. They'll win the league quite comfortably. 2. Celtic --------- Will concede shedloads of goals and be "in crisis" all through the season, yet still finish comfortably clear of... 3. Dundee Utd -- I'm amazed they've been able to hold on to the majority of last season's squad. 4. Hearts -------- I don't rate Jim Jeffries in the slightest, but I do think he's acquired a decent squad. 5. Hibernian ---- Hughes will be sacked/quit. Stokes and Riordon will fire them back up the table. 6. Inverness ---- Teams newly promoted usually do well. 7. Aberdeen ---- No matter how dire they play, they will somehow earn points. 8. Motherwell --- I genuinely think our squad is one of the best of the "other 10", but Europe will take its toll. 9. St Johnstone - They'll be in the top half of the table at the start, but McInnes will leave for England and they'll go into freefall. 10. Kilmarnock - Only tenth because the following two teams are worse... 11. St Mirren --- They will continue to exist as an entity, frustrating me throughout the season. 12. Hamilton ---- Just because.

Copying my pre-season regime from Football Manager... Seriously though, it'll be a good opportunity to see a large number of Motherwell players and a good way to assess the trialists.

I can't be arsed trailing through the old threads to find names and exact quotes, but I know what I read. I'm not saying everyone who wanted Ross County to win was "disinterested" with Europe, which is what I think you're hinting at. I found it staggering at the time how anyone could want Ross County to win when it would have cost us a place in Europe. Nothing's changed. This thread wasn't created to wind anyone up, despite what Melvin thinks. I was genuinely interested to hear how those people felt now, in the midst of this exciting European adventure.

With the excitement of last night's game and now the build-up to the play-off round draw, it's been a brilliant 24 hours to be a Motherwell fan. All those who wanted Ross County to win the Scottish Cup, do you still feel disinterested towards our qualification for Europe?!

I hope we get Odense. I think we'll get Lokomotiv Moscow. There's some big names in pot 7, so plenty potential 'glamour' ties. Solely in terms of how much money Motherwell would earn from the tie, what order would you put our potential opponents in? For example, would Man City result in the biggest pay-day?

Let's not make any snap judgements here. He's done very well so far, especially considering who successful our previous 'keeper was. Hopefully his form continues.

Had the radio on in the background so didn't quite catch what was said in full, but I thought I heard Chick Young saying that John Boyle has written to the other SPL chairmen asking for a move to summer football and the use of synthetic pitches such as the one Aalesund use. Did I hear him right?
