Regardless of what happens next Sunday, we have to be viewing a decent Scottish Cup run and top 6 finish as within our reasonable expectations now. It would need to be £400k plus to test our resolve imho. His goals since the start of season have upped the ante.

There's loads of space to park down the beach end along the promenade. Not sure if Aberdeen have anywhere like the Cooper but there's a couple of golf clubs happy to accept visiting fans. Pretty sure they accept kids.

Thats probably a fair point. I was going to agree with the Higdon post, but when you think about it, who was the last Motherwell player to win player of the year? He was also the first person to break Wullie Ps scoring record, a gap of nearly 40 years. Not even TC, who I would consider a far superior player, managed that. I guess thats what makes these debates such good fun, everyone has an opinion!

We cant go into this game passive and allow Celtic to play their game. If we do we are toast. Our best chance is if one or two of theirs are having an off day and dont fancy it. To find that out we have to be in their faces from the off. Lets set the tempo and see what their made of. Id rather see us die on our feet than on our knees.

I also agree with the sentiments above. Our club and our supporters remember Phil every day. He has become part of the fabric of our club and who we are. We dont need this media driven marketing ploy to remind us of who he was or what he meant to us.

I think one other thing to recognise about yesterdays game is how much the game at Easter Road influenced the way Hibs played. They learned from that. McGinn was in Campbells pocket that day, you could see from his performance that he was determined to ensure that wasnt going to happen again. Lennon also changed their formation to combat our strengths and target our weaknesses. Its a massive compliment that other teams and managers are having to do this, however, maybe we need to be a bit cuter in the way we approach games where we play the same team in quick succession.

He is great with cross balls but big up and unders over his head he seems to struggle with. There were a number of occasions during the semi final where the same thing happened. He is great in the tackle but not the quickest on the turn. Rangers identified that and tatgeted him. Its more about his positioning and timing than ability. Like I said, its probably just down to inexperience. The only way for him to get better is playing games. Hartley alongside him will bring him on no end.

Hartley. Born leader. Was talking to players throughout the game and trying to gee them up and get that extra 10% out of them. Didnt put a foot wrong defensively and always a threat at set pieces.

Disappointed to lose today but not surprised. 3 games in 6 days was always going to be a big ask, even with squad rotation. Like Andy P said, I expected Dundee to be the one we came a cropper due to the time between games, however, I suppose you cant ignore the step up inclass that Hibs clearly were today. I thought Hibs were the better team in the first half with McGinn and McGeouch in particular running the show. However, despite their control of the game, they never created that many clear cut chances and the goal they did get was self inflicted. I know Cedric is a cult hero and he is still a very young inexperienced player, but his indecision under a high ball is a concern and cost us today. 2nd half was better. Not sure we got the subs right as I felt we looked very imbalanced at times, but we certainly caused them more problems and could/should have scored with Sid's chance. Hibs looked more dangerous on the break than they had the whole of the first half and we couldnt have complained if they had scored on the counter. Overall, disappointed, but not despondent. A weeks rest/recovery will do the players good and we should be good to go again next weekend.

Why would Hibs take McHugh out with "another head knock"? He got the first one at Killie and it was a 50/50 ball. Confused.com

Should be a pretty decent crowd. Our numbers are up this season and Sundays result is bound to put a few on the gate. Hibs are playing well and coming off the back of a derby victory. 3pm k/o. No TV. Hopefully get over the 6k mark. Will be a tough game but hoping the momentum we have built up will see us through. A new baby Moult before Saturday would be a bonus!

That has to be one of the best press conferences by a Motherwell manager ever. Totally owned it from beginning to end. He has me feeling 7 feet tall. No wonder the players love him. Starting to feel a little embarassed about being underwhelmed by his appointment. This guy is the real deal.

Definitely freshen it up and give some guys a chance with the morivation of playing themselves into a cup final place. Sunday will have taken a lot out of our players physically and emotionally. We also have Hibs to play on Saturday. Gonna need to start using our squad wisely.

At least the referee was consistent in his leniency!
