  1. Exactly this. You just need to look at how our fans turned on Nicky Law over his decision (a bad career move IMO but his choice) to see that. Tom Hateley did well for us. He chose to move on. Ramsden has proved an ample replacement. Nothing more to say.
  2. Maybe Neilsen wasnt being risked to give his injury more time to heal fully. We had already done the deal for Dan so seems sensible to leave him on the bench as cover rather than risk him and have to extend a loan. I would have no problem if the club extended the loan period as he has impressed. However, given how tight money is likely to be after our cup exit, Im not convinced it is necessary.
  3. Its always the risk for a club like ours where money is tight and you cant afford a bad signing. The sensible thing to do is to extend the loan and if it goes well sign him at the end of the season. However, if he keeps this form up it puts his agent in a stronger position to argue terms, or worse, punt him on to a team who can afford to pay more than us. Just need to trust the manager to make the right call. That might make it an uncomfortable few months for some.
  4. Neither Gunnar or Hollis has had the advantage of playing behind a fully functioning unit. You could argue that the unit didnt function due to lack of confidence in the keepers behind them however I really dont think that is the case. No idea what the score will be but it would be nice to get another good performance and break another record (straight wins).
  5. Wasnt at the game so not voting but good to hear such positive comments about Vigurs. I had very high hopes for him at the beginning of the season and felt he could provide the creativity Law had given us previously. Maybe now the team are starting to gel and some of the injuries players were carrying are easing we will start to see the best of him AND the team.
  6. Look at the difference between prize money for 2nd and 6th and tell me the season is over. Sure we lost money in Europe this year due to where we had to travel to. I would guess St Johnstone made a profit. Luck of the draw, but European football raises the clubs profile which is also vital for attracting sponsors. Given our poor cup runs every penny is vital to maintaining the incredible success our club has enjoyed in recent years. I agree the home crowds are disappointing but if the team continue to play as they have in the last 3 games Im sure that will pick up again. The fact that we had 1595 at Firhill shows that there is not a total apathy towards the team. 1. £2,405,000 2. £1,718,000 3. £1,460,000 4. £1,289,000 5. £1,203,000 6. £1,117,000
  7. Magic! Great to hear about future Steelmen (and lassies) starting out on their journey. Hopefully that positive experience will mean he is hooked for life and keep him safe from the evils of the dark side! SIWY.......
  8. Dont change a winning team. The standard has been set. Anyone not reaching it from now on will be concerned about their place. Should drive performance levels up.
  9. Lol! The guy shaving was a classic! The teeth are still missing and whats worse is the dentist cant fix them until the holidays are over. Not like I could have felt any worse. #findtheteeth
  10. Lol! Went to grab my mate in a big bear hug and my other mate came into do the same and copped it right in the coupon! Good job he wasnt in Paris the night Faddy scored! #findtheteeth
  11. Sorry mate. Not gonna be fit to drive! Giving this one a miss although Im thinking bout the ICT game on the 4th.
  12. Difficult to choose today. Lasley and Carswell covered a lot if ground, Vigurs was far more influential McManus was solid as ever and Ainsworth a real threat. However, Faddy was my MOTM and benefitted from being played up front in a more central position. More of the same please Mr McCall.
  13. Fantastic performance and result. Hopefully this will put to bed the "he is pish" "waste of a wage" "mccall must go" nonsense. On a side note, if anyone finds some false teeth in their hood/pocket/handbag, please pm me. I knocked them out of the owners mouth at the first goal!
  14. Normally prefer whit away kits but I really like that.
  15. Ah the old polyester strips eh! I remember the 1980 Umbro Scotland tops. They were lightweight but itchy as f##k and when it was warm and sweaty they ate you alive! Love the classic designs but give me soft cotton every time!
  16. Its been a tough few weeks for us as a club with some truly honking performances, falling attendances and feelings of indifference or ill will towards the manager and some of the players. However, it looks like we may have turned a corner, so time to get off those armchairs and rallye behind the team. Its the anniversary of Phils passing as well, so the timing is perfect. Lets regroup and show what being a Well fan is really about. COYW!
  17. Great result. 3 on the bounce. Hopefully boost the travelling support on Sunday. Given its the anniversary of Phils passing hoping for a good turnout. Time to come back together as a club.
  18. We shouldnt be giving up on 2nd at this stage. We are 1 point off second right now having been brutal to watch at times. If we can keep players fit and avoid unecessary suspensions we might just find some form along the way. Given our early cup exits, every penny will be a prisoner so we need to finish as high as we can to maximise prize revenue. If we can play some more attractive football while we are at it we might not see as much drop off at the gate which would be a further boost. No such thing as meaningless fixtures between now and seasons end. All the more reason we should be looking to keep Anier and Ainsworth if we can.
  19. Think I'll stay away! Thats back to back wins I've missed. Not going to Pittodrie either so fingers crossed!
  20. Quite a few got broken in the Parc de Princes when Faddy scored and there was no mindless vandalism involved. Just sheer unadulterated manlove!
  21. Given the amount of ex players that seem to come back and play well against us Id be tempted to play Lawson and Vigurs. Ex players always seem to have something to prove. As long as we try something different and see some improvement in performance I will be happy. 3 points would be nice though!
  22. Excellent post. We cant afford to sack the manager. We cant afford any new players. But we can and should be doing all of the above. I just hope the management team are thinking along the same lines and get on with it as its getting increasingly difficult to watch. SIWY.

Moore. Chased everything down and tried his best to take the game to Celtic. Unfortunately was doing it with no support so ultimately came to nothing.
