  1. Only watched the game online but didnt think we played as badly as some of the above posts. Looked to me like the tactic was to soak up their pressure and hit them on the break. Felt we looked pretty comfortable for the most and at 3-0 up I couldnt see any way back for them. Two lapses of concentration and we nearly undo all that good work. Good to see us hang on for the 3 points. Thought big Hutch looked a lot more comfortable alongside Ramsden. Here's hoping the injury to Randy isnt that serious. With everyone fit I think we still have a real tilt at 2nd.
  2. That is seriously bad for your health! Well done to the boys for holding on but we dont half make it difficult for ourselves at times! Good three points. Joint second. Good gap opening up now between us and bottom 6. COYW!
  3. All he does is scores goals. Feckn useless!
  4. Any chance of malf1985relaunched doing a wee tribute? Sure he could knock the BBC offering out the park!
  5. Much has changed in the transfer market since then but its still hard not to feel that we are being shortchanged for Murph. Hopefully Higginbottom will prove an able replacement.
  6. Excellent post Steelboy. Ont the subs issue I would usually agree with you but BBC had McCall stripping Higdon just before we got the pen so looks like he was intending to change it at 0-0 then events overtook things?
  7. There is no doubt that Jamie is the most talented player that our club has produced since Faddy. He has scored some fantastic goals and been part of some great moments but if we are honest, consistency has always been a real issue. The last 8 weeks, however, have been some of the most consistent and impressive that we have seen from Jamie in his time at Fir Park and I hope that it is a sign that Jamie is ready to move on and develop into the player we all hoped he would become when we first saw him 5 years ago. All the best Jamie, you have been a credit to our club. I look forward to seeing you at Hampden wearing the dark blue with distinction.
  8. Personally dont think we saw enough of Page to say whether he wouldve made it with us or not. However, given our defensive deficiencies this season it would appear that the manager hasnt seen enough in training to convince him that he was the answer which must say something. Wish him all the best in finding a new club though.
  9. The guy is box office. More power to his extremely mad elbow!
  10. Highlight of 2012 without a doubt standing with the "500" in the Olympic Stadium in Athens. We are Motherwell Champions League! Never thought Id ever utter those words. Thanks lads.
  11. Sorry. Just read the 2012 thread. Feel free to merge!
  12. Happy New Year to Dossers everywhere. Hope 2013 is as disappointing as 2012 appears to have been! We are all Stuart McCall!
  13. We really made an impression on them down at their place when they paraded the League Cup and with the Kelly banner. Nice of them to return the favour. Its what football should be like more often.
  14. Where does the "McCall doesnt rate Saunders" come from? Seen it posted a couple of times but Ive never read any direct quotes myself. Was it in the press or was it a more reliable source? Would have thought given the way the centre of defence has been this year Saunders couldnt be any worse?
  15. Had to work yesterday so couldnt get up to the game. Gutted to have missed such a great performance but delighted for a whole host of reasons. Sounded like the crowd got behind the team. The manager proved he IS aware of our deficiencies at home and willing to think out the box with a change of tactics. It appears some of the players getting most criticism put in better perfornances. Most importantly we got 3 points playing attacking attractive football at Fir Park! This is the way watching a team in 2nd place is meant to be. Here's hoping we can carry this feeling onto Saturday which is an important anniversary for us all. "We are all Stuart McCall"
  16. Barry Ferguson was a quality player. Anyone claiming otherwise knows nothing about football or has an other agenda. Just dig out the 1999 Wembley game if you need any proof. Whether he is still any good, would want to sign for us or whether he is the right signing for us are entirely different points.
  17. The way he gets abused by some of our support, September probably cant come quick enough for him. He has undoubtedly been poor all season, but he has been getting stick a lot longer than that.
  18. Given that Henriks contract doesnt run out until August 2014 and we are still in the running for 2nd place and the money that goes with it, there is no way we should be accepting such a derisory amount. That would be very poor business indeed.
  19. In that case you are in the perfect position to comment on the point I tried to make Frazzie. Is there less abuse away from Fir Park and do the players appear more relaxed and confident in their play as a result?
  20. Was reading a post in the Ins and outs thread saying how much the players celebrated the win yesterday. Given the content of this thread it is entirely possible that the players enjoy the backing they get playing away from home more, can relax and play their football, hence get more favourable results. Clearly not the only reason for the disparity in performances but worth a thought surely.
  21. What about Gordon "night" Mair!!!!
