No reason to doubt what you say Jo. Really hope it is just a case of handbags. The big man is better than that. Glad to hear his team mates stepped in to diffuse the situation.

Very disappointing and takes some of the shine off of the award. Can only hope there have been mitigating factors. Sure the full story will emerge in due course.

Voted player of the year by his fellow professionals? Dont they realise all he does is score goals! Michael Higdons havin' a party...... Well done big chap!

Went for Faddy for the 2 goals and 2nd half performance. Although Henrik wouldve got my vote w/o the red card. How much he was to blame Im not sure. Be interested to see both incidents again.

Was a great day out yesterday. Thanks to Suzy for organising the bus! The first half was a poor performance. The kind we put in more regularly near the beginning if the season so its still in there. Couldnt make my mind up as to whether it was as a result of tactics or just too many players having an off day at the one time. To single Faddy out is harsh. Second half was a different story and could only see one result until the sending off. Will reserve criticism of Henrik until Ive seen the highlights. Thought their pen was soft at best and a bit of a dive but would like to see it again especially given Henriks first yellow. A little deflated not to get the point we deserved to clinch 2nd but have left games feeling a helluva lot worse. Next week.

The club should play hardball. With the amount of out of contracters likely to leave, taking pressure off the wage bill, we should not be letting a contacted asset leave at a pittance. £1 million please. Then you may have our attention!

I have to confess, I was a lapsed Well fan living in Ayrshire. With a young family, it was just too easy to find reasons not to make the journey up to Fir Park every second week. However, I made a conscious decision at the start of the season that I was going to start going back to games and I have been to about 10 home games and both games at Rugby Park. Going to Inverness today. There must be others surely? I realise attendances havent been good this season, but I would be interested to see the figures split into home and away fans. The club reported an increase in season ticket sales and I have no reason to doubt that. Is it not more likely that it is the away supports that have collapsed? there certainly appear to have been some poor away supports at the games I have been at. Not surprising right enough with some of the scheduling for live games.

That would certainly seem like good business. Makes more sense than letting his contract run down.

Lol! Loved that top! Not sure it stands the test of time though. Has 90's written all over it!

May he remain the Sheriff of our one horse town for a very long time! Well done Henrik.

I agree with your second paragraph. Just felt he had been left exposed a few times this season causing him to make some rash decisions. Not his fault. He is learning as you say. I guess my surprise was that I felt he had been better last season. But then he was playing alongside a couple of older heads. No surprise that he has settled down now that Ramsden has had a run and is now looking more solid. Looking at it from the other angle though, I can see why strikers would vote for him. You would know youd been in a game.

Any idea of the numbers going up to this game. First away game outwith Kilmarnock for some time, so hoping for a good turnout to enhance the awayday experience. Surely at 3pm on a Sat with 2nd place within our grasp we can take a decent number? As for predictions. Not going to jinx us.

It should be made integral to the new UEFA coaching badges.....no wait, that would make everyone as good as us. Shhhhh!

If we are gaving to cut our budget given our relative success then just think what kind of shape the rest of the league must be in. We run a tight ship. No real debt. Cant see many of our players ending up at other Scottish clubs. If we shop well then I think we can maintain our position.
-
Was going to say I was surprised about Hutchinson but then you go throught the other teams and it would be difficult to identify another centre half who had a better season. The other 3 were stick ons. Great recognition for a great season.
-
Indeed. I remember one Scottish Cup tie at Tynecastle. The club had put on free buses so there was a big Motherwell support. We were 3 down by half time and soaked to the skin. The only real entertainment were the Caley fans whose game had been cancelled and decided to go to ours instead. Never stopped singing for 90 minutes!

A mate who lives in Inverness says the Exchange is the place to go. Quite near the railway station apparently. We are gonna meet them there ans see where we end up!
-
I know what you mean mate but given the size of our squad, consistency was always going to be a problem. I dont think its any surprise that we struggled early in the season when the schedule was heavy and we are flying now. I also think us being out of the Scottish Cup has helped our league form. Loads of great memories this year. Gonna be tough to match it next year given the anticipated turnaround in playing staff.

Dont know if its been mentioned elsewhere but..... We havent lost a game James McFadden has started. Played 7 Won 5 Drawn 2 To think after Ross County I was worried his arrival had unsettled the dressing room. Lol!

Totally amazing game of football. Cant remember the last time we ripped one of the OF apart like that. I know they had a good few chances because we played so open, but Id take that every week for sheer entertainment value. Nice to see the Green Hordes totally ignore Faddy as he went off to a standing ovation from our fans. Hopefully that wont have been lost on "himself". No class. Really looking forward to next week now. 1 point and its party time. 3 points and we have our best ever SPL points return. Higgys only 4 short of the 30 mark. A record breaking season is within our grasp.

Really difficult to pick today. Every single player gave everything and there were outstanding performances all over the field. Went for oor Henrik but could so easily have been any one of the others in claret and amber. That was a title challenging performance. Its just a shame the league is over.

This is just the usual underhand crap the OF do all the time to unsettle players on the day of a game and the tabloids lap it up. I take back everything I said earlier about the guard of honour. I wont turn away but I will not be applauding Celtic onto the field now. Hope Faddy has a blinder, scores the winner and goes right up to Lennon and asks him how that was for a trial before telling him to ram it!
