We are in the 3rd qualifying round. We need to win this tie AND the 4th qualifying round (play off round) to get into the group stages. If we get a decent draw the first one is possible, the second part is a HUGE ask.

On the whole I think it looks pretty good. I like the Fir Trees and the 'Craig design is much better. Our nickname is the Steelmen so would like to keep that. Not sure about the ball. Not sure if its the white or the older style ball. Think the font looks fine, but would love to see what it looks like with the font off of the 125th anniversary shirt. Dont know how long these things take UBH, could you rattle off some alternatives with folks suggestions? Could have a poll to find a winner!

I would take Rosenberg. The Lerkendal is a decent stadium and Trondheim is a smashing place to visit. Loads of nice pubs/restaurants. Bit expensive but would be a cracking trip. Its a long way from Oslo mind you!

The worst case scenario would have been to lose our manager and ALL of our out of contract players. That hasnt happened so everything from here on in is a bonus! Looking forward now to seeing who the gaffer can get signed up and who has been on his list of targets.

Stuart McCall is happy at Motherwell. He is also not short of a bob or two having enjoyed a pretty successful career. Id wager he wont be jumping ship unless he thinks his next job is the right fit. Clearly something about the Sheffield Utd job didnt feel quite right otherwise he would be away. Still be happier when I hear it confirmed from him or Motherwell FC. I dont think any manager with any integrity would go on record as saying he would be staying with us and do a u-turn two days later.........

Disappointed by this. Thought Nicky was smarter than that. Of course it totally depends on what his other offers were. Im just surprised that with McCall in for the Sheffield Utd job he didnt hang about a bit longer. Other thing that occurred to me was maybe he has been given the nod that The Rangers will be in SPL 2 next season and he might only be looking at one season in lower league football?

Pretty relaxed about the whole contract thing. The fact that we have someone signed up on day one is a sign of intent from the club. They have clearly learned from the Jennings situation and wont be hanging around waiting for players to make up their minds. Would expect our business to be done early in preparation for an early return for Europa League. With McCall away on Scotland business it could be a pretty short close season for the gaffer!

Not if John Clarks challenge on Ally Maxwell is the benchmark on what is NOT a foul on a goalkeeper!

Ramsden signing would be a very good piece of business. I feel we are only just starting to see the best of him after a few niggly injuries earlier in the season. Its also no coincidence that Big Hutch has started to come onto a game since Ramsden hit some form.
