  1. A mate who lives in Inverness says the Exchange is the place to go. Quite near the railway station apparently. We are gonna meet them there ans see where we end up!
  2. McFadden. He is the one player on the list we definitely cant afford. There is still a chance (albeit slim in most cases) that the others could sign on again. Those chances would increase if the players knew Faddy was signed up. His very presence is a strength to the club and the team.
  3. I know what you mean mate but given the size of our squad, consistency was always going to be a problem. I dont think its any surprise that we struggled early in the season when the schedule was heavy and we are flying now. I also think us being out of the Scottish Cup has helped our league form. Loads of great memories this year. Gonna be tough to match it next year given the anticipated turnaround in playing staff.
  4. Dont know if its been mentioned elsewhere but..... We havent lost a game James McFadden has started. Played 7 Won 5 Drawn 2 To think after Ross County I was worried his arrival had unsettled the dressing room. Lol!
  5. Totally amazing game of football. Cant remember the last time we ripped one of the OF apart like that. I know they had a good few chances because we played so open, but Id take that every week for sheer entertainment value. Nice to see the Green Hordes totally ignore Faddy as he went off to a standing ovation from our fans. Hopefully that wont have been lost on "himself". No class. Really looking forward to next week now. 1 point and its party time. 3 points and we have our best ever SPL points return. Higgys only 4 short of the 30 mark. A record breaking season is within our grasp.

    Celtic

Really difficult to pick today. Every single player gave everything and there were outstanding performances all over the field. Went for oor Henrik but could so easily have been any one of the others in claret and amber. That was a title challenging performance. Its just a shame the league is over.
  7. This is just the usual underhand crap the OF do all the time to unsettle players on the day of a game and the tabloids lap it up. I take back everything I said earlier about the guard of honour. I wont turn away but I will not be applauding Celtic onto the field now. Hope Faddy has a blinder, scores the winner and goes right up to Lennon and asks him how that was for a trial before telling him to ram it!
  8. They are doing rolls and slice with a pint for £4. Result.
  9. Reading between the lines I think there are a few of the first division clubs really struggling to maintain full time football. Not to mention SPL clubs struggling to stay afloat. They all need more money. The only way they can get it is if we have something new to offer broadcadsters/sponsors/advertisers. Unfortunately everything they have come up with so far is lkely to effect them at the gate. I think if they could get away with it they would invite Rangers into SPL2, however, I would hope the various chief execs are not that removed from reality!
  10. We can clinch a Europa League place with a win tomorrow but we will still need a point at ICT to clinch 2nd, albeit our goal difference is +10 on ICT so we would be in a very strong position. Have to say, reading Mulgrew, McNeill, and Hartson in the paper this morning my position on the applauding is softening/hardening. I always hoped we would pump them tomorrow but I would really really love it now. Im sure the players will be similarly motivated. Particularly our useless big lump of a post war record holder. Lets get intae thum!
  11. Technically, even if we beat Celtic tomorrow we will still require a point against Inverness next week to make it official, albeit our goal difference is superior. It is looking very good though. Hopefully this should make for a good travelling support to Inverness next week. Saturday 3pm k/o no live tv and the chance to celebrate clinching 2nd place. Wots not to like? Lets get as many up there as possible!
  12. Why Frazzie? Take the St Mirren goal the other week. I applauded that. Sometimes theres a bit of skill or genius that you just have to take your hat off and appreciate for what it is. Im not a total sap however. That wee d##k Sissoko would not be welcome round my house regardless of how good he is/was.
  13. Oh the Whataboutery...... I will applaud the Celtic players onto the pitch as a mark of respect for what they have achieved this season as it is the decent thing to do. The same way I applaud an opposing team who score a really good goal against us. It has nothing to do with respect for Neil Lennon or the Celtic supporters. As soon as that first whistle goes they will get it tight for the lack of class they show repeatedly at football grounds around the country. Each to their own I guess but try putting the shoe on the other foot and think what you would be saying about Celtic or any other team for that matter if they behaved towards us in a disrepectful manner. You would call them all dicks, and you would be right.
  14. Lets do what Lennon failed to do. Show some class. Lets show them we are better than that. Applaud them onto the park and thereafter he and Celtic get it tight for 90 minutes as we roar our team onto hopefully a famous victory. "Abysmal, abysmal, you are truly abysmal" if Higdon scores!
  15. You can order online and pick up on matchday. Thats what Im doing.
  16. Lack of class from Lennon. Its the players that vote for it so he is in effect saying his fellow professionals dont know what they are talking about. If it was the sportswriters award he may have a point! Great interview from big Higgie. Really hope we can keep him and Law given their close relationship with the manager.
  17. Normally like white shorts but this seems unbalanced for some reason. I agree this design would look better with claret shorts and the neck from UBHs mock up. Love the socks though. Belters. Havent bought a home kit for a long time. Not sure this will change my mind. I may change my mind if Faddy lifts a Scottish Cup in it right enough.......
  18. You might want to drop this off at Hampden FAO Neil Doncaster!
  19. Dodge, your preference is nirvana for most football fans who have been asking for the very same for years. I would personally love to do that and get back to no live tv and the only coverage being Sportscene highlights on a Saturday night. However, how do we get there? Clearly the clubs cant or wont do without tv money at present so the basis for any discussion has to be where we are starting from, not where we would like to end up. I agree, the play-offs I suggested probably does favour the SPL side and could be viewed as unsporting but in a one off game at Hampden its more of a chance than they are getting right now. It would certainly address the meaningless games this season, although I accept you couldnt guarantee that every year, but the play off would be box office. Its just an idea. Im pretty open to anything that might improve the game.....except 8x8x8 which was the most ludicrous proposal Ive ever heard.
  20. These suggestions are not without merit. I especially like the last line!
  21. I wouldnt feel let down if this was his move. He's at least as good as that. Would love to see the big chap play in the EPL eventually. Dont know whats happening at Birmingham but you would think he'd have a shot at it with them.
  22. Indeed. My recollection is that it was the Cooper and Russell show. Great crowd and atmosphere that night with the old terracing and what was the "new" East Stand.
  23. I know exactly what you mean. But dont forget they needed the referee at Fir Park. He was extremely eagre to show Doogie that red card which was harsh at best and totally changed the outlook of the tie. Would have loved to have seen what happened with 11 v 11. Thanks for the link SBCMFC. Great memories.
  24. 93/94 and 94/95 without doubt the best league campaigns I can remember. Genuinely challenging for the title with a real quality squad. The performance against Dortmund away was probably the best I can recall. We scared the crap out of a truly World Class team.
