Spot on. Motherwell SUPPORTERS .....the clues in the name. Its not rocket science.
-
Thats quality mate. One off, or you planning more?
-
Poor boy! I guess a lot of us on here dont realise how fortunate we were to be in the presence of greatness, even if we didnt fully appreciate it at the time. Mr Humphrey take note. This is the standard to which you must aspire. RIP Coop. Legend.

Need to see that on Alba tonight. Commentary says inconclusive. Up against it now.
-
Ah! A kindred spirit! Would like a bigger margin and an attacking display but that seems a little greedy and right now Id bite yer hand off for 3 points regardless of how we get them.

HAS to be 4-4-2 Randolph Hately Hutch Craigan Hammell Murphy Lasley Jennings Law Higdon Ojamma Lets have a go, score some goals and kickstart this campaign for Europe!
-
Great to see the manager come out and back Higdon so strongly. Also shows he does think more deeply about man management than some on here would give him credit for. Just one more thing tho gaffer, let Henrik/Murph/McHugh start up front tonight alongside the Big Man. Thats the kinda support he really needs! Mon the gaffer, mon the Big Man, mon the 'Well!

Surely its nor outwith the business acumen of those at the club to get him on a short term contact with clauses that give us first option if he impresses but a guarantee that if someone comes in with a minimum valuation we let him go. Protects him and us.

This is all getting really tiresome. We are in real danger of being the orchestrators of our own downfall. Big Higdon gets dogs abuse on Saturday as he has been all season. He shows his human frailties, reacts with one guesture, yet he is asked by the manager to apologise and will likely get suspended!!!!! Football administrators have lost the plot, our so called fans have no sense of reality, I do despair for our game. Yes we have been pish for weeks, but we are still in the cup with a favourable draw and third place is ours for the taking. What are we all goin to do? Get behind the team and drive them on to a good finish, or continue with the negative crap and see us slowly slide towards the bottom six? Time to put up or shut up folks!

Lafferty also seems to play annoyingly well against us! Could do with a well timed tackle from Hutch to slow him down early doors!

I am Ray Farningham. We are all Ray Farningham.

Totally agree with KMcAlpin. We have every right to feel pleased with ourselves but we must show we are capable of successfully tweaking our tactics especially at home where the most obvious change required is to get someone close to higdon. His hold up play and knock ons flicks have been more than decent but have resulted in very little return. Time to ressurect Murphys season. Get him in the middle! Wouldnt solve all our problems but it would be a start. You could easy play Law on the left. He and Hammy had a very good understanding at start of season.

Great idea. I live in Ayrshire so dont go to that many games, however I would definitely part with £100 for a season ticket which would probably encourage me to make the journey up more often. More bodies thru the gate would result in more support for the team and increased sales in programmes/food.

You already have my son! Given our current dearth of talent at international level its unbelievable he wasnt capped but when you play in the same era as Danny McGrain and Sandy Jardine........guess Joe must know how Andy Murray feels!

Mmm who to vote for......let me think.

Hope he's at the Killie v Celtic game today. That first half should be enuf to change his mind! Mon the Well lets cement 2nd place this afternoon!

Keith Lasley - Is He Having His Best Season So Far?

Think the gaffer echo's what a lot have said on here. Unfortunately those who would disagree are entrenched in their views and unlikely to change. The only way forward is to drown out the boos with positive encouragement to show the players that are victims of this crap that that attitude isnt representative of the entire support. Lets get behind big Higdon from the off on Saturday and give him a desire to work harder for the cause. If he scores the winner it could turn his season around!

The guy is doing all he can. He cant be something he's not. If we want the best out of him we have to play to his strengths. There are players in the team underperforming more than he is but they seem to be immune from criticism.
-
What he said!
-
Never ever seen a player improve their performance by shouting how sh*** they are at them. We really need to get behind the team, not on top of them. The manager is fair game, but I'm fairly sure ours has broad shoulders!
-
Absolutely spot on mate. I would be first to accept Higdon is not setting the heather on fire but the abuse he gets is unbelievable. The number of times he flicks the ball on and knocks it back only to find there is no team mate trying to get on the end of it is unreal. The guy isnt that mobile but he does give a physical presence that SHOULD allow others to get into the game. Looks like he is the new Mark Fitzpatrick! We are third on the league and we know we can play much better surely thats a good thing?
-
Didnt think the game was anywhere near as bad as some are making out. Thot we passed and kept the ball reasonably well, made the better chances against a predictably well organised Broon team. I was surprised at the timing of the substitutions given McCalls reluctance so far this season and I thought they actually hurt us rather than helped so to get the goal when we did was sweet. Well done young McHugh for his desire and composure. Nice to see a player get his head up and look for options before smashing it home! Glad he didnt try to thread it to Lasley who was burstin a gut to get up and help him out! Cheer up Craigy Broon........
-
Went for Clancy. After the stick he's had in recent weeks I thought it was an assured performance. Didnt get bullied against 2 pretty big centres, put in some good blocks and unlucky not to nick a goal with his header in the second half. Not bad for a Killie reject!

y Great Post! League leaders Motherwell welcome Rangers to Fir Park!
