Unfortunately the performance was so bad and the atmosphere afterwards so poisonous there was ever only going to be one result.

I think Robbo has a very good chance of the N. Ireland job. As good as any of the candidates imho. Hope Tommy Wright gets it though as I wouldnt want to see him considered for our job. I think we need to stick with young modern thinking aspiring coaches. Id promote from within. A Las/Mo Ross combo would do me fine.

I had mentioned to pals during the seaon that it seemed strange that Tait had lost some pace despite how obessed he seemed to be with his fitness and that maybe he had put on too much muscle. He isnt that old so you wouldnt expect his legs to be giving way so dramatically. If the club had an issue with that though, why offer him a new contract at all?

Be interesting to hear the clubs perspective on this. Absolutely no issues if hard decisions had to be made, the clubs survival is always paramount. Just doesnt sound like the way we would normally do business. We are normally very good at dealing with players in these type of situations.

Tait on Sportsound just now. Claims the club did the dirty on him. He had signed his new contract and was waiting for it to be ratified then Lockdown happened and they tried to change his terms effectively reducing them. Claims Flo said he would call him to discuss and never so he walked away.....

From a selfish point of view, Id hate to see him playing against us for another Scottish team, as he was such a popular figure at Fir Park. However, given that I thought it was probably, on balance, the right decision for us to let him go, just need to suck it up if it happens.

Well done to the club again for responding to the concerns raised by fans.

I didnt say Ariyibi was consistent. I just said he was more consistent and entertaining than Aarons who had a reasonable first outing and then flattered to deceive the rest of the time.

Ariyibi was far more productive and entertaining, not to mention, consistent, than Aarons imho.

Anyone who thinks Hastie should have been offered an extension whilst on loan at Alloa is totally revising history. He came back after the winter break, had a real purple patch, was offered a new contract and turned it down. Shit happens. Robbo has made a number of mistakes as manager you could hold against him, but thats not one of them.

Im not a critic. I think Robbo is a great fit for us. 10 is perfection. Which on our budget aint gonna happen. To improve on 7/10 Id be looking for consistent top 6 finishes. Less signings that turn out to contribute nothing and fewer baffling substitutions and tactical decisions that dont change a game in our favour. That would get him to 8/10 for me. Winning a cup in addition to the foregoing 9/10. Wee Tommy did that and wasnt perfect. I note though, there is a noticeable absence of Robbo critics today.....

Robbo is a very hard working meticulous coach who appears to be well respected in the game. As fans we will judge him on his results and signings. Few can have much complaint about the results given his budget restraints. The signings have been a bit of a hit or a miss and there have been occasions where we have been crying out for a particular position to be filled and for whatever reason it hasnt happened. Most will cut him some slack over this as it has always been thus. The more critical among us will not. For me over the piece I would give him 7/10.
