  1. 100% Yes. I guess I'm naive for assuming it already was paid. This should surely be high on the list of the Well Society agenda. Regarding the "admin error", I'm not at all surprised. We undoubtedly have employees doubling-up (at least) on responsibilities, a lot of which will be outwith their core area of expertise. So we will have, say an Accountant, who picks up (and drops) HR issues. However unfortunate this is, it would be extremely unlikely that any of the the senior figures / playing staff would be adversely affected with regards to payment. Smallest wage / smallest voice... The club's still a bit amateurish in many areas, but hopefully improving.
  2. This, plus the annual savings of 50k or whatever the Vanity Project Manager cost us in wages, means a new scoreboard and paint free steps in the Hunter Stand are no longer a pipe dream.
  3. Echoing the thoughts above, another excellent listen. Hard to imagine any other club at our level having this kind of interaction via a podcast, and just as hard to imagine the mainstream media doing a better job of interviewing Flow. I certainly don't agree with everything that has gone on at the club, but there's no doubt that we have a team of dedicated individuals working together as a great team. One thing I do agree on, there's definitely "a buzz about the place" these days. Huge credit to all involved.
  4. Cadden. Magnificent, fantastic football player. Kipre? Cult votes...
  5. Monumental increase in season ticket holders, new mascot, fast-flowing Tennents lager, award winning match magazine, more colours of face paint, and 7th in the league. A couple of cup games would be nice as well.
  6. Apparently showing am interest in Alex Whittle, 24yo left back, currently with York City. Contract expires tomorrow. Friend of a friends daughters boyfriends pal. Seems legit...
  7. Excellent listen as always, came across as a really decent, honest guy. Looking forward to the "Gannon Memoirs". Nice work Sparra.
  8. See the replies in the clubs "Return to training' tweet... The lad does seem very keen.
  9. Patrick Jude, 20 year Nigerian utility player seems keen on a move here. Currently in the UAE, worth a punt.
  10. Would be interesting to see how much a main sponsor brings to the table these days. Surprised if it was even anywhere near 100k a season. Would be a nice surprise right enough.
  11. Not fussed about kits, as long as the keeper doesn't wear pink... I don't think I could face another season of "its just wrong" from my jovial teenage son.
  12. Hamilton has benefited from the SLC deal and now has excellent facilities where once there was red ash pitches. (Although I miss the shows coming...) Would be nice to see something similar in Motherwell with MFC at the heart of it. However I'm not sure if NLC are any more pro-MFC than they used to be (ie. Not at all), and it would be great to see the re-elected and newly elected Councillors getting behind the project. Although mibbe fitba isnae posh enough for some...
  13. The Trust have confirmed that, unfortunately, the deal with NLC for Muirhouse fell through. 2 pieces of land in Motherwell have been identified, one of which we have submitted a bid for. Good to hear this isn't completely dead.
  14. Anyone know if this has been shelved? Tweeted & emailed the trust but haven't had anything back. Last update on the website (Feb 14) suggests progress is imminent. Looked like a good fit to our Community brand, but perhaps no longer financially viable... If it ever was.
  15. A bit harsh... Season ticket sales are up a zillion percent, hospitality sells out every match, we have a super-amazing micro site, and a new mascot is on its way... We've never had it so good comrade. #TheTruthIsOutThere #TrustNoOne
  16. I heard the rangers are interested... Fkn Legend.
  17. I was beginning to wonder if I was the only one baffled by how we can afford these non-football appointments. And even more baffled by their budgets. We seem to have a love-in with 3rd parties just now.
  18. Amateur hour... How can "one person" publicise the offer on the official club phone number, confirm the offer over the phone and exchange tickets in the office? The line of communication / chain of command is clearly a shambles, and we should expect more from a business of this size. But hey-ho, it was an honest mistake by someone and it was cleared up by a fans podcast. For fuck sake.
  19. I agree, and as many have said, it looks like he suffered from being too close to regular first team football to make a loan move sooner. However, it appears that he has faded away during his loan at QotS, so it would seem unreasonable to think he's ready to step into our first team.
  20. And where would the fun be in that? Perfectly reasonable to expect the club to promote the sale of tickets through their various social media outlets and encourage an early purchase. Not that it'll make any difference to the usual farcical turnstile scenes at ND Park.
  21. Odd that this doesn't appear to be advertised anywhere. I guess it's all about #MadeInMotherwell these days.
  22. 100% agree... Lose fans between 16 & 18 an they're probably lost as completely, certainly as regulars. Would surely make sense for the club to continue investing in this age group until they have at least a chance of earning enough to justify the outlay for a Season Ticket. Surprised this didn't come up in the fans survey.
  23. I see some tweets from Thistle fans stating that former keeper Cammy Duncan has passed away. Only 51, fine memories of snowball fights with him and Andy Dornan in Catherine Street. Good guy and decent keeper, RIP Cammy.
