Jennings for me, a revolt against the bum love for Lasley.
  2. Not any longer than via Glasgow and it saves changes at Perth which are usually drink free and under the beady eyes of the transport dibble.
  3. All aboard the Bellshill Express at 7.22. Leaving a little earlier mind, friends fare from available from Edinburgh too... saves changing at Perth outwards and return.
  4. 'Closed door' ideal lost on many, a topic done to death last season. A sneaky text from any of the playing staff isn't guarantee of attendance either. As for living not far from the venue, I suspect you haven't tried to enter their training ground before?
  5. ...'but I have been part of a few sponsorship deals with clubs in England' We know, we know... Not all are the same. As for knocking importance... Differing product and product placement will negate your claim and sponsorship agreements are tailored differently, no? Much like the one our club has entered into... If the information from Commsworld is correct
  6. 'they' want? Not Commsworld anyroads Yes, shirt space is the most aesthetically pleasing area of endorsement, those involved were/are thinking on the playing and not replica kit though in consideration of numbers actually sold, but, that financial acumen of yours has us on a far superior plane? Deary me... If the information from Commsworld is correct
  7. Dalziel Park as mentioned. Finished 1 nil, Blackman scoring. Gow rattled the bar from long range and Gloria with header off the bar too. Decent work out, crisp passing from Forbes, link up play from Gow and good handling by Hollis.
  8. Currently 1 up. Plenty of the first team squad playing. Gowzer has some touch.
  9. Pros and cons to the debate. In Germany, my younger cousins weren't allowed to play full size untill 15 years old as was the norm over Europe, this was over 20 years ago. The confined space encouraged closer control and use of smaller goals improving accuracy. At 15 deemed of correct size and ability to cover the larger area with ease as a natural progression. Perhaps why we are years behind in development? I suspect some of the kids development in formative years is 'coached out' of them. My son has moved up to 11-a-sides this year, luckily under the supervision of decent coaching. Emphasis based on passing through, they aren't rewarded for going long, hitting it the hardest, win at all cost unlike others. For example, playing Celtic on Saturday past, the opposition coach encouraged 'aiming high' when in a scoring position. They did once at 12 nil in a 14-1 drubbing! In a youth system with the resources available at their disposal, I'd wager Mr McCart wouldn't agree... In the interests of 'traditionalism', the move to full size is favoured at this age. Seen enough and spoke to many in the past few weeks, coaches despairing as kids threaten to give football up as others inflict defeat after defeat by double figures by aerial attack. 10 & 11 years old lost to the game? Nobody in power understanding of this? The average 10/11 year old is half the height of the goal equipment at best, where is the development in technique in both defence and attack?
  10. Eh? Not much sense in that there and coming from someone with the financial background you claim to have too... The charitable organisation were given ample opportunity to get involved. Their businesss model required a 14 week turnaround to secure funding from on high and rightly the board didn't offer the jersey space on trust. So no sponsorship agreement in place to fall through? You made spurious claim previously regarding selling of replica kit without the sponsorship logo as a need to generate cash... how? Club shop is outsourced, presumably with the proprietors paying a set fee with perhaps additionals depending on quantities sold. Similar to that of appointing a club sponsor - the contracted monies are highly unlikely to be stumped up immediately. So that theory of inability to recruit also has nothing to do with the price of cheese or steam navigation.
  11. Don't believe everything you read... £1 million to Wigan yesterday and an offer somewhat less than quoted today to secure his services
  12. Dick Turpin lives... At Fir Park or is he Mark Reynolds agent? All the best to him if it goes through.
  13. That's where we missed Jennings tonight, not so much for his battling qualities, but, his energy. Notable mentions for all, Murphy shaded it for me, only the style we adopted easing him out the game for a spell.
  14. Knowing the scruff, I'd say a pink oboe
  15. Deary me, another for the 'better fan than you' debate... Regrettable incident for those on either side which has been agreed. Don't get dizzy up on yer high horse mind. In your attempt to get your point across, mentioning more than once as if it matters, no claret and amber to be seen. Motherwell fashionista are you? Need to adorn club colours to be an erm, 'fan'? Well? Lot more regulars who weren't in Denmark will be fooked also. As for them being well fans? Standing apart from everyone else, again wearing no colours, did not join in the celebrations means the group was clearly looking for trouble? As for celebrations... no high jinks and inebriation from the appropriately dressed? Why would the club ban them for life? A matter for the local constabulary, not in the clubs' jurisdiction I'd have thought. Men arguing whilst enjoying a social drink and a little sporadic violence when the mood takes them for good measure? That idea will never catch on over here now, will it? As for the wonder how many times they have actually set foot in Fir Park... I'd wager as many, if not more than yourself. How some of the apologists on here can even think of defending them? Bit repetitive no? Simply for those who regularly vent mock outrage and attempt to foist their holier than thou attitude on others is the answer...
  16. Steve Jennings was boss. Better than Stevie Gerrard. No, he is, really.
  17. Get the chuff chuff, at least it's not convened by a h*n!
  18. Arguably one of the best defences I've seen was the three at the back no? McCart, Martin and Krivokapic(sp)
  19. Mind, don't let the facts get in the way of a good story... more than half a dozen too
  20. underboyleheating already at work on your request, see...
  21. You'll have a month to secure a replica top without
  22. John Boyles' investment group...
  23. Clubs' commercial team mentioned £500/£600... I await with interest, maybe an uptake large enough to fill a 2nd plane in and out on the day like Nancy may bring that price down?
