Made observations & asked a question. That’s not personal slate.
-
Esteemed company right enough. What were you? The kit hamper carrier or the waterboy? An understanding like you’ve shown after a grounding like you’ve had is beyond comprehension. I don’t resort to personal slate either.
-
bee in my bonnet? That’s a belter. I’m a bit old in the tooth to be a friend of the kid. As for slander? You do know the meaning of the word? Certainly not annoyed. You’re doing that all by yourself.
-
You still going? Cheap jibes? Make your mind up. That’s not pointing out the folly you’re posting. I never said I know you or your background. It’s easy to picture though… I’d wager you’ve never kicked a ball in anger! Run along? Fucking hell, been a long time since I’ve been in the school playground.

Just give it up. I’ve called it in my last post and your comments here fare no better… A fascination with what players did about 2 seasons past is fucking mental. Our squad has changed massively, our style and football in general has moved on. As for its ‘a toss up between donnelly, Maguire or ohara’ being the next best available. Jesus wept. Should’ve stopped reading right there. What is it you suggest ‘Young cornelius’ has to prove? Let’s not fall into the same trap some have upon the signing of Shaw - Dean’s time for a loan was a year to 18 months ago. Alexander recognised that and decided his development is served better around the first team environment. Certainly being held back when shoe horning a defender into our midfield in effectively. Poor skill wise? Seriously? Already mentioned why they’re stifled.

Word salad. 3rd course. Bt your own admission, Mugabi up front is a huge risk but it’s not a nonsense? Contradiction defined. Donnelly hasn’t the discipline to play at base of midfield as you put it. To be the anchor you require to offer protection to the centre of defence, regularly dragged out of that position means zero protection. Can’t recall any of our midfield going beyond strikers? Those that don’t want to see never will. Workhorses with little creativity is a misnomer also. Banged on about it often enough early in the season, the instruction to retain a shape rather than retain the play stifles. Nobody advocated playing a 4-3-3? A lot more to them ripping apart a 4-3-3 the other night too - Rangers work rate off the ball was abysmal. Nor was I questioning your 5-4-1, the player selection is way more than optimistic. Why the fascination on me naming a team selection? I don’t really give a fuck if you find that difficult and with your grasp on football bordering on moronic it’ll hardly provoke discussion.

Take a breath. Playing Mugabi more advanced than van Veen on the strength of two 10 minute stints when we were behind is nonsensical. We’ll definitely disagree on Donnelly - doubt I’ll be the only one who feels the same. Bottom line is he’s a defender trying to play midfield. His inclusion for me has seen a marked downturn in others performances alongside him in midfield. Can’t hide from that. Presume all you like. Because I don’t post my selection thoughts you come to that conclusion? Another nonsense. One thing I will say for the team would be a midfielder capable of going beyond the forward line and getting others into scoring positions which we did before the break with success but, the ideal has been abandoned given the team selections. It really isn’t that difficult.

Wind your neck in. You talking shit certainly doesn’t offend me. über as in the context you put it, your support being better than others as they forecast a pumping. Mugabi as a striker in games we are chasing is a world away from playing him in that role to suit a formation. As for using that Livingston debacle over 2 years since as analogy suggests you’ve run out of straws to clutch. Donnelly is determined? And so he should be, it’s a pre-requisite no? Determined isn’t disciplined and pound for pound our poorest midfielder. Doesn’t bring energy, slow of thought and a yard slower in pace than he was going by recent performances. Whats my team? Never have gone in for the amateur wish lists and seeing some of the wild takes in recent weeks on here safe to say I’ll keep to that.
-
It’s hard to know where to start with a word salad. Indulging that other poster in Mugabi as a striker gives the knowledge game away for starters. Some wild takes. Donnelly. Disciplined? I’m starting to think you don’t watch us if at all. Spare the über fan rambling too close too.

All the eggs in a Tierney basket methinks…
-
In your head maybe. Difference in fitness and match fitness. Moot point anyway, O’Connor on loan to Queen of the South
-
Like we just drop everybody in on their recovery? No guarantees. Ojala has featured in more matchday squads yet not deemed fit.
-
Get fit from a long term injury would be a start
-
He handled his role well last month. Just feel he’s not the same influence alongside Alexander’s favoured pairing of Maguire & Donnelly.
-
One of our strengths at Easter Road was not allowing their full backs to push up the park and a midfielder keen to go beyond the frontline. Let’s see if his current picks have that discipline.
-
Goss’ influence on games doesn’t happen alongside those two. That’s an easy fix.
-
Alexander’s interview - Donnelly had a great game? Apart from the goal am I missing something?
-
Suggests we weren’t seriously interested… He’ll not be changing leagues at any rate.
-
Always was a wide midfielder in his formative years and brought to the club by Scott Leitch on the strength of that. Conversion was some time later. What coaches were right for his development? For me, he lacks the physicality to be a centre half.
-
You do know he didn’t come to the club as a centre half? Conversion was by our coaching team at the time…
-
So inefficient stewarding?
-
Sorry, you’re looking for something that wasn’t there, which only serves to feed the holier than thou on here - reasoning was admitted after the event. Few dissenting voices at O’Donnell as there is each week. Felt the fans still gave their backing as they made their way from the pitch which could have been oh so different.
-
I thought at the time it was aimed at the linesman - spoke to others there, it was aimed at those standing at the perimeter wall blocking others view.
-
Culpable. How Liam Donnelly escapes criticism is beyond me - worst player on the park tonight. He’s come back a yard slower which compounds the problem.
-
Not condoning it at all, but, that’s not what happened.
