  1. Sloth? Seeing him based on what? The manager stated he has youngsters ahead of him. O’Hara? Defensive midfielder he isn’t. As much as the midfield unit failed he was the weakest link against Accies.
  2. Not condoning the action, but, more to the story than being published. The club lawyers working overtime on a few media based ‘issues’ this week.
  3. I’d be surprised at ‘may be 1 or 2 who turn up there...’ Given places on the trip are limited. Mr Robinson describing how we manage that recently.
  4. That opinion counts for little, it’s always been the case, the evidence is there. All 3 are very different players.
  5. I’m not having Accies fullbacks being worth a look from our scouting department at all.
  6. Semple is one of the young players ahead of Sloth going by the managers’ recent AGM address. I suspect Cornelius is more in the club thoughts also. Both only 18 years, they won’t be introduced together.
  7. Nothing vague. Nothing to tell. Think it’s been described best in another post. I’ve not seen anything that Tait offers more than Grimshaw & I’ve watched him more than most on here this season.
  8. Certainly doesn’t tell the full story... I’d question releasing the erm, article 5 minutes prior to the AGM - information has been available for weeks.
  9. Are you still going on? Less of the mate too. You’re making things up now. For the record, there is no flares (of the pyrotechnic variety) in that photograph & that event was in an area of Motherwell far away from the ground & long after the match had finished. Club official approved the banner in advance & it was created on the Thursday prior to the match. Information is same employee refused its entry upon arrival at ground. It’s now for both parties to find a common ground... easier said than done.
  10. Because it wasn’t? Your ideal isn’t helping - maybe tapping into a subject you know little about? Certainly no pyro recovered and as the statement says refused on the grounds the banner was ‘too big’. The same matter taken up by our CEO who tried to pacify the situation.
  11. Nothing whatsoever to suggest that, nor was it the case.
  12. I’m not so sure they will. Mr Burrows had been put in a position which he couldn’t overturn due others which he explained to those involved. The SIWY fanzine statement alludes to who made the decision. I’d surmise Officer Dibble had an input also given their handling of non-events prior to the match. With our safety officer being an ex-employee, it’s not conducive to popular fan/club relationship.
  13. Around 1500 last year. Whilst I appreciate the unusual kick off time, I’d factor in lack of a football fix for the month & it being Scottish Cup duty for our support Remaining respectable regardless of tv coverage.
  14. He is indeed. Kids worked their socks off today & worthy of their draw.
  15. St Mirren won possibly the worst Championship for many a year.
  16. Football has evolved in the 30 or so years since Joe Wark retired though. I certainly don’t recall Richard Tait excelling at the defensive side of the game when he did play at fullback. Defensive headers? It’s as if others don’t make mistakes.
  17. This better positional sense showing the player on the outside you speak of opens the gap between fullback & centre back which the dependable Gallagher doesn’t always fill... The split pass between the two is favoured by Polworth against the opposition regularly.
  18. You’re I’d fashioned. There. Still never answered the question... i never said I didn’t want him to defend, it’s a major flaw in the modern game with many full backs. Well aware he’s not a natural defender, suspect the player himself does - he’s our best option currently. I’ve seen Tait more than most this season - Mr Consistency has lost at least a yard in pace & watching him last Monday Was painful & felt he’s trying to over compensate with performance dipping. The longer he doesn’t fill the right back slot the better player he’s become to the sycophants on here. It is that simple, if he was better than Grimshaw he’d be playing a lot more regularly - he isn’t, are messrs Robinson & Lasley wrong?
  19. Pray tell us where you think he should’ve been positioned that wouldn’t have cost us? He’s very much fitting a modern full back style at the moment. Have a look at the bigger picture or game management as it’s termed. Offering much needed drive and energy he regularly serves as our only outball.
  20. Point none the less valid. It was more about embracing change.
  21. How very... parochial. We’ve moved before and done alright.
