I’m not quite sure I buy the fans were ‘fleeced’. No doubting ticket prices are hitting excessive levels against value for money across the board. I can recall in recent years being beneficiaries to ticket incentives offered by yesterday’s host club.

I just don’t see him in the position he’s been asked to play. First touch isn’t good and passing ability is questionable. He does try to move the ball quickly - just not accurately. Attributes expected of a holding midfielder...
