  1. Oh! There’s a question mark alright. And I don’t pay heed to anything by English supporters of players moving northwards to ply their trade.
  2. Hard to disagree with Ya Bezzers’ summation there.
  3. He’d have to get out of David Turnbull’s back pocket to collect the award though.
  4. There has been a wind of change since Craigan & McManus left their posts. I’d be surprised to see Liam Brown extending his stay. There are others favoured and ahead of him currently. Similar thoughts with Shea Gordon.
  5. It won’t. Bookmark it.
  6. It needs no words. There is a bigger picture to all this.
  7. Not sure I agree with that. Break this weekend coming at the right time methinks.
  8. It won’t affect attendance. Trains are running Catchcart Circle to Newton then via Hamilton Circle as the disruptive works are on the main line.
  9. Essentially, our under 18 squad tonight. Didn’t do themselves justice. An experience and something to be used as a spur. Liam Donnelly? Would struggle to make most amateur teams in the district...
  10. Nope. Kid is decent, unsure he’ll be here for next season. I’m not sure I understand having Jamie Semple playing a deeper lying role either, but, coaching staff are qualified to do so.
  11. Delve a little deeper. There are more than a few currently ahead of Reece McAlear...
  12. Don’t believe everything you hear... and for the record another offer has been made to retain him.
  13. More back up? Pivotal to how we perform, a first pick.
  14. Ambitious? In what way? It’s anti-football. A back four was demanded by many on here - pace alongside Aldred? Moving Dunne across one and giving Livingstone game time is an easy remedy.
  15. Behave. Gillespie kept us in the match. Not Elliott Fear’s biggest fan, but, the anti-football does him a disservice.
  16. Lee McCulloch and Maurice Ross in the frame for both roles...
  17. Dearly me... I certainly get it. I’m only relaying the thoughts of various people at the club who are best placed to make that assessment. I’d be inclined to laud the Youth Cup winning team too. Is it down to how we manage our prospects from development football to first team ready the sole reason that the majority haven’t progressed? Hyping up a ‘bunch of 16 year olds’ fits with the club business plan, hence the McKinstry story surfacing - its certainly not for the lack of trying that they’ve not featured as much. Change is afoot to allow those at the latter stage of under 18 (where Semple fits in) some exposure at the next level.
  18. You’re not quite getting this are you? The “best crop we’ve ever had” as a collective group has been relayed from those in the club best positioned to remark as such. Project Brave status was achieved prior to those signing. The kids likely to make a regular step up now spaces in the squad become available have been training with the first team and the management team are keen to force the issue.
  19. It’s widely recognised at the club, promoting 8 at the one time last year is testament to their thinking. superward covers your post succinctly.
  20. The 6 monthly deals have been a bi-product of Project Brave and widely on offer at most clubs, some offering only amateur terms. Reasoning for that is simply that the clubs didn’t know how creation of Under 18’s & reserve levels would pan out. We’re seeing movement out of our reserve team as it’s felt our current Under 18’s are the among the strongest crop that we’ve ever had & decision been taken to push those onto the next level to feature more regularly.
