  1. Absorbing any cost doesn’t necessarily leave us short though and is a world away from ‘can’t afford’. He has my backing also.
  2. It doesn’t. If it was in the thinking, club would’ve absorbed the cost.
  3. Surprised at Paton & Spittal inclusion of some. General consensus and of those around us at the match was poor for the most part. Busy at doing very little. Hooking Davor to keep Paton on just compounded the problem.
  4. Ooh, get you. You’ve answered why I said Er, no…
  5. Information in the Netherlands very different on weekly salary. Chief Executive of NEC discussed freely when meeting some of the recent travelling party.
  6. Ladies and gentlemen… it’s Steven Hammell
  7. No. £75,000 wouldn’t cover the upfront loan fee demanded…
  8. Throughout the footballing world there won’t be many who have solely become proficient having set out to run a football club. ‘these are the people’ never signed off on any player - they provided a football department a budget to work with. Burrows was a one off & someone who shielded those making decisions behind the scenes. Expect those who repeat the failure to appoint will be the same when the next in the role doesn’t have the social media presence of those before them. Summer and winter clearouts are de rigueur in Scottish football. Would be great to change that cycle, I’m not seeing it happen anytime soon.
  9. Didn’t mean to take your post in isolation. I alluded to being skint and not willing to sweat assets in another post.
  10. You do realise the use of data analytics has been around the club for a few years? It’s nothing new. How they are applied is what’s up for debate.
  11. World of a difference being skint and not willing to pay exorbitant demands. As for your closing statement - often repeated yet, nothing constructive offered. A lack of understanding prevails also. Plenty of business acumen amongst these well meaning amateurs you speak of. Back on track to where? Club accounts clearly show the club as being stable. Financial climate has changed immeasurably and the well meaning amateurs have recognised that & fielding opportunities for investment latest interest earlier this week for example.
  12. The back of a fag packet mathematics need to stop.
  13. Interesting take. Miles from the truth right enough
  14. Celtic have waived contributions is the scoop.
  15. It’s oft been said, with no basis in fact. Hardly common knowledge, it’s conjecture. He may well have been offered very decent wages, most are. How many disclose these details? Nil.
  16. Tenuous link to Daws & previous employment methinks… Player will be heading towards Championship.
  17. Laugh all you like. It is what it is. At least it ain’t contradictory like that firm grip you’ve got. rivals? Nobody of note except perhaps Dundee? Others weren’t even on our radar despite what some on here think.
  18. So what is it you’ve a firm grip on? This making sure you push a deal over the line has no circumstances? It’s not great, most recognise that. Market conditions dictate otherwise.
  19. Yes. Something oft discussed at Club AGM in recent years.
  20. Profit? Not really how it works, but, batter in. Let’s see what club accounts bring about a year from now.
  21. Unlikely to oust Greg Taylor. Sounds some prospect
