Doft my cap, perfect summation.

Freed up cash? Thereās a world of difference to that and the balancing the books as the manager alluded to in his conference. Zero correlation.
-
Is one out/one in a thing in this circumstance? Not sure paying up a contract leaves much room for manoeuvre for bringing in a free agent, Iād be inclined to go with the former and the use of number 10ās which is serving us well.
-
Money aside, Iād wager their failure to register the signing of their main target from Harrogate Town prompted the move. https://www.wrexhamafc.co.uk/news/2023/september/statement--luke-armstrong-sept-06/

Under 18 Club Academy Scotland fixtures are generally Friday evenings and have been for some time

š¤ Not what I was asking⦠Plenty of merit in what youāve just said & Iād align with that. The gravy train I allude to is the recruitment view taken that has too many not contributing as they should - certainly donāt question salaries offered.
-
Did we realise the sizeable transfer fee up front? Two decent amounts in training compensation? Think the outlook is short term pain, long term gain whilst reversing what essentially has been a gravy train for some.
-
See? Definitely not as daft as you make out. Amazes why youāre pilloried on hereā¦

Bravo. Just out of curiosity- who keeps claiming āweāre skintā? Exhausting current budget is a world of difference from being āskintāā¦

Not most interpretations of ironic, but, now youāve got that off your chest⦠Iāll take your points in isolation - you favoured a ārelegation rebootā, seriously? Apparent high and mighty? Either are or are not. The ITK business has been done to death too as you donāt have to scratch the surface much. Club offer plenty of information on how they work and a likely scenario relegation could bring. The ārebootā shows a lack of understanding & grasp on the reality, hence, clueless quip. As for your CEO whim - plenty recognise weāre being guided by someone whoās been of influence at the club for an amount of time. Just so happens his was not the only CV within the club suited to the role more than those the professionals were tracking. If heās not āambitious and intelligentā I wonder if he just bought his business acumen? Maybe if he got himself a social media presence youād feel better?

Deflect. Deflect. Constant? Not been cryptic for a while, probably as little to protect, but, you batter in. Barry Norman you arenāt.
-
Belter. Your inane theory of a ārelegation rebootā shows your struggle. Clueless. Weāve not had a CEO demand for a few weeks right enough⦠a bit of a label if current custodian isnāt ambitious or intelligent. For all intents and purposes heās already turned us inside out and starting afresh - heās stopped the gravy train for starters.

Except FIFA hasnāt endorsed or approved anything more than 3rd Generation. 4G & 5G is a marketing ploy.
-
Quite the takes. Doubt Iāll be the only one struggling with both grasps of understanding & realism.

Give your head a wobble.

Plays for Northern Ireland. Dependent on shifting Lamie?

Well aware how an apprenticeship works, doesnāt really answer the question though.
-
At what point do they serve these apprenticeships? Not that itās an exact science, player development has evolved. Iām not sure āthereās no substitute for first team gamesā is a barometer of success.

Given your unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction, in particular prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group. Enlightened. We see you.

You only see what your own bigotry allows you to see. There are none so blind...

Far too many variables in emerging talent. Protecting the club interests is wholly different to the ācanāt force anyone to signā theory of some. On Maguire, his last contract award was the issue. At the magic age around his 22nd birthday in development terms, weāve offered security and it certainly hasnāt worked for both parties with a career stalling. Some have scoffed at another recently who wanted to challenge that outlook. Doubt Iāll be the only one of the opinion that it wasnāt a risk to offer him extended terms good enough to get him to sign - he was highly regarded as the next big thing even when Turnbull was still cleaning the boots of senior players. Simply put, weāve paid lip service to our player pathway for too long. Understand we drop development players in and out and thereās a plethora of reasons for doing so. Also well aware the approach doesnāt favour each and every prospect but, being allowed to make and learn from mistakes around the first team environment let Hibs with Doig and Aberdeen with the kid who folded twice in front of the East Stand realise multi million pound transfer fees - those who seen them in development (bearing in mind he can play either flank) would agree our player was better than both. Feel Kettlewell has alluded to this in pre-season and last weeksā interview. More power to him if he progresses on that front.

Considering that reality, probably nothing to add here. Iāll take your last statement. Cup performances donāt matter a jot if we proceed through the group stage. For many, not a great barometer of where weāll be the month after.
