It's this intensity that made him out as erratic as Jim Gannon... -

'days before he was due to get interviewed', 'declined their invitation' - I'll be stunned if that was the case. -

Butcher himself said he was finished with the game in Scotland. Bryan Jackson been taking his coaching badges like? Let's get it right - we are in no danger of administration. Only person who can put us there is John Boyle so highly unlikely... Stop feeding the porridge dribblers on here. One thing we can be sure of is downsizing regardless who is the custodian(s) of the club. The managerial appointment is the most crucial I've known given the nature of the change required. -

Latest of the latest... -
Just adding what may well be the absurd to the original claim.
-
Look, things are bad enough without this being passed off as fact. Our information differs greatly & given who it was from confirms the club stance & information they trotted out at the time. Also, that'll be why his best mate threw his toys out his cot at him or another of their mates not getting offered contracts? So much so, even landed one on the chin of the manager?
-
Agreed, similar thinking, could have worded my response a little differently.

They claimed to know of NO other bids.

That's how I understood it. Typical fair for a Well Society meeting, from the hurried copying of proxy voting forms to the various members talking over others who were holding the floor. Fundamental flaws in the path they've taken, a chosen path that has never been discussed with their members, again this wasn't explained. Whilst they may yet succeed, I suspect the form will differ from their ideal with rapid change from their stance showing early next week.
-
That's a misnomer - monies were to alleviate temporary cash flow issues as no bank debt, taxes declared and paid up in full in timely fashion... only John Boyle could take them down that path again if hew wasn't receiving his annual return. Can't disagree with the other points.
-
That's a given, but, time is of the essence - club ownership may well have changed when, given their track record, the board decide to inform the membership...
-
And the equivocal nature of communication from the Society does? When not playing truant & glue sniffing, learned the definition of 'loan' as being an act of lending something to someone, a thing that is borrowed, especially a sum of money that is expected to be paid back with interest. The question of liability was raised via social media & as yet remains unanswered which seems to be par for the course. It's not a secret society that I joined - if I wanted to, I'd attend the temple down on Hope Street - it's the Society boards' outlook that gives rise to the 'in it only for the blazers' quip.

Masters of ambiguity are the Society... But, we'll have a meeting in December? To tell us what? Achieved the impossible dream? Invented the wheel? A small band have succeeded in ownership of our club, just the small matter of the rank & file being liable for the loan(s) to secure a select few's club blazer & tie requirements? All without consultation & vote? Lack of clarity has gone beyond frustration with me & no doubt plenty others. The ideal of fan ownership requires an engagement of the fans, again the Society haven't covered themselves in glory.

Whilst the bonuses are an entitlement of the results achieved, wages are way and above what others of similar standing are paying. Fans of Aberdeen, United & the capital clubs may well be saying similar things about the cost/success ratio we have enjoyed of late as we are doing now against the likes of how ICT & Accies are currently outperforming us. Not wanting to suggest what level of salary our players currently receive, but, figures will show fewer than half a dozen of our first team are on less than X amount which is still around double what the maximum available to one of the clubs previously mentioned. Cost cutting on a major scale is inevitable no matter the ownership of our club, may well provoke debate on the level of quality we'll have at our disposal, something that's serving some well at the moment, will there be any success for them/us long term? Only time will tell...

At least Angol wouldn't get a regular game. -
Oh, it's clear alright... John Boyle gave messrs Weir, McMahon & Dempster (now just Weir & McMahon as she has since moved to pastures new) power of attorney to the group over his shares. However, a power of attorney can be revoked at any time. Essentially John Boyle will make the call on future ownership because legally he still owns the club. Let's hope he makes another decision that safeguards the future of our club.

Conjecture. What do you base that on? As for similar analogy to Rangers & Hearts? Piffle. The loan is of the soft variety believed by some to be from within. Whilst the Society as it stands are not publishing details prior to any deal being struck and/or upcoming special general meeting - it has been mentioned members wouldn't be liable. Hearts survival came in the face of adversity, the Well Society has tried to raise monies outwith such a scenario - you honestly believe they couldn't raise required funds in future if the situation, god forbid, is bleak? Have a word with yourself. My fear, regardles whether I figure fan ownership will succeed or not, is the chance to rebuild from the bottom up with a fresh approach coaching wise may well be missed.
-
Only hope you are right... overtures from those in power at The Well Society haven't exactly satisfied fellow members & those who aren't.

Bet your life on it... Rex says No Surrender! to that Peter the pointer, Shettleston Harrier, pseudo-Irish, bog dwelling, ambulance chasing Earl Haig.
