  1. Disagree all you like, don't think your claim above isn't too dissimilar to what I said. Agree with your latter statement.
  2. Again, in what way? Understanding Lawson's limited game time, but, Steve Jennings, whilst breaking down opposing attacks can be credited with driving us forward quickly and pressing higher up the field, polar opposite from Paul Lawson. From Sunday's match, a midfield that was set-up not to be out fought and overrun was exactly that, outfought and overrun. Don't doubt there is a player there, but, shoe-horning him and Vigurs into a tried and tested system isn't productive and we've suffered for it. Further to that, McHugh again showed he's no foil for the main striker. His general awareness and off the ball movement belies the fact he scores for fun in reserve football. How do we harness that?
  3. In no way is Lawson a 'Jennings type player'. And that's not a criticism...
  4. On the money with that - the gift of possession by our ex-Ross County star still grates with me though.
  5. Ideal opportunity missed. In our efforts not to be outnumbered and out-passed, we were exactly that at times given Vigurs inclusion. Lawson would have offered the protection that others did not, allowing Keith and Carsewell to press further up the pitch. Bit of belief would be a touch too...
  6. Trialists and youngsters my info too.
  7. That he did. In a vastly experienced Thistle side including Mark Kerr. Trialists from Everton weren't up to much. Know anything of a possible return of Scott Leitch in a youth development capacity?
  8. Cheers, know of one parent through work who was intending to be there.
  9. Understanding the 'closed doors' ideal, does that bar parents attending?
  10. Believe there were issues and Stuart McCall has intimated same.
  11. More? Unfortunately, don't have a breakdown on what each player requested. I think most bases were covered, given neck line, sleeve length, overall cut were discussed which I'm sure most would agree that covers most issues no? I'm not sure of my information being of relevance in this thread, but, doubt player issues come to the fore when the club/Provan Sports representative are attempting to procure the best value deal on kit manufacture.
  12. Please refrain from this stalker like bhaviour
  13. Didn't miss your point at all, 'stereotypical casual wear' is a complete red herring. Do you think it would be any different if they were done up like a Christmas Tree?
  14. Sorry I'm sure. Didn't realise the faceless page was an open one, not being on facebook likes...
  15. Officer Dibble has made a statement on their official facebook page, anybody add a link?
  16. And we have another... It's the contradicting fashion polis noo You've checked their web shop aye? Plenty of club colours which are wore by plenty.

Bet he arranges some works team, stuff of legend.
  18. Wind your neck in. With friends like you, who needs enemies? We get they are not permitted. The main drivers in the group took that aboard previously. Reactive maybe, pro-active definitely as they move forward... novel steps are being put in place to have a word with the pyro-mad without installing a group structure, alienating the more youthful. With representation from the club and wait for it, Police Scotland. This WILL make a strong group stronger... Club viewpoint? Doubt the club plan to 'slate' and there will be concern about the tactics employed by the authorities. The clubs two major concerns, relating to Police is- The worry that we'll lose our Police-free status thus recurring inflated costs - having worked for years to get this almost down to zero and As a result of that, less control so the bois in the ground can have the 'freedom' at Fir Park. That's why if/when they do say anything, it has to absolutely be sympathetic to the issues faced yesterday (minus pyro obviously) but, also mindful of not picking a fight with the Police that the club will never win and only end up paying for (quite literally) down the line... Positives far outweigh the negatives towards these lads. They understand they'll never please all the people all of the time, but, knowing those that I do, they will have a right good crack at it. To them? I doft my cap - keep the faith.
  19. Don't let the facts get in the way of a good story... No smoke bombs, no issue? Not condoning their use, harmless as it is, the ineffective stewarding/policing commenced long before any smoke pellet went off. I'd question how, after a visit by our own safety officer to that section at half-time that the matter escalated too...

Wasn't so brave when one of the youth teams' parents asked for a word in his shell-like across the field at Dalziel Park... John Boyle admitted as much to 'taking his eye off the ball' with messrs Malpas & Heggarty, the rest as they say is history and it's been some journey to be fair

Can't have been - steelboy says he was 'enterntaing' which I think meant he was entertaining
  22. Not been to a ground where you can drink throughout the match on the mainland (that egg chasers game may well be different), so that's that one ruled out. It's offered in a regimented way with regards to timings and I've yet to come across the claims made regarding poor fare, lairyness et all. Pricing is competitive rather than over priced, having the paying customers in the stadiums earlier - achieving matchday revenues way and above what we can expect as the clubs want the business over local licensed premises by offering decent product/prices. Issue we'd currently have is the lack of facilities. Fair point, well made gilmour...
