  1. Loads, and most of them have already been mentioned, but it is always special getting it up either of the Mouldy Firm : 1. Wee Fergus McCann's first home game at the piggery when Dougie gatecrashed the party 2. The 1-1 at the piggery when Ian Angus scored right at the death, that was really special 3. Beating R***ers 3-0 at FP to put the breaks on the title party (in '91 or '92?) 4. Skippy Sunday 5. THAT semi-final replay, humping C**tic 4-2 Bit of a 'get it right up ye' theme with all of the above choices but need to mention number 6 as it will always be remembered, and unfortunately not just for the quality of football, but the day we beat Utd 5-3 was by far the best performance I think I've ever seen from the 'Well.
  2. I think we still do a reduced ticket for students, but what's the thoughts on one for those young apprentices that are learning a trade but not earning a great deal of money? Say they bought a season ticket for £100 and got into the habit of going for a couple of seasons, by the time they were fully qualified in whatever trade they were learning, and earning a better wage, they might be keen to buy a full price adult ticket?? Also, my work's HQ is based in Liverpool and Everton are running a scheme just now for local businesses where you can sign up for certain league matches, take as many friends and family as you want, and it is just £12 for adults and £6 for kids FOR THE ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE!!!! My work have just signed up for this, starting with last weekends match v Fulham and next up is their game v Aston Villa..... Anyway, this year will be my 20th consecutive year with a season ticket and I will certainly be renewing.....
  3. Cheers but I don't seem to have (or maybe just can't find) a 'my prefs' box or any other type of box next to the shoutbox on my screen....
  4. Need an 'idiot guide' to help me hide the Shoutbox, I can't find how to do it in my settings
  5. I would love to know what win bonus is agreed in return for beating the mouldy infirm, would it be the same for beating the likes of ICT?
  6. ....that wee hairy twat Richard Keys, Andy Gray and smug Gary Lineker, we had Arthur Montford, Ian Archer and Archie MacPherson And everybody running behind the goals for the penalty shoot outs
  7. No doubt this will be completely unconnected, but the Mrs and I were sitting in the car just outside the Brandon last night after getting some scran from the chippy next door, about 7.30pm, and a motor stopped in the middle of the road....coupla guys got out with baseball bats and got stuck into some guy out having a fag. Guess the Brandon is best avoided on a Saturday then (and probably every other day of the week) with all the fighting pish that you hear about going on in or around it....
  8. I am happy to offer my full support from the start to anybody that gets the gig of managing our team. It would be wrong for anybody to have him hung drawn and quartered before he has even lead the team into a game....lets give him a chance and then make up our minds in a few months, hopefully we will be safely in the top 6 come the end of the season (I think Europe is already out and would've been under Brown, IMO).
  9. Where do you suggest, the East Stand ??? Seriously though, I'm with you on that ^ ^. There is no way JB would / could spend £10m of his own dosh, as was posted, just to bring Fir Park up to speed with these modern day flat-pack stadiums. The only way we could invest that type of money on a stadium would be if we sold Fir Park and used the cash to move to somewhere like Ravenscraig. Problem is though, IMO, I don't think we could sell FP for the amount needed for the club to build a new facility, the ground it is on is too small for a supermarket (plus required car park and new road) and I don't think a housebuilder could get enough houses or flats on the site to make a decent return on their investment. That would then require JB to dig deep but what return would he get for his investment? As you say, it is a business and I can't see JB wanting to lose a few million of HIS CASH for such a high risk. So, unless anyone has a better idea, I'd suggest as many fans as possible go along to FP as often as they can to help the club earn some cash, maybe then we will have some dough for some sort of investment in stadium and facilities. There is no benefit in greeting about not going back and depriving the club of much needed income. Support your club, simples.... Or, maybe we sell FP to an indoor sports facility and get cheap use of the training pitches in winter.......
  10. Spot on, I'm always opening new accounts to take advantage of a price on the footy that I can't get elsewhere and I'm certainly not a professional gambler (£50 tops is my limit). I reckon (and hope!!) this is a non-story as the article that somebody else posted said that irregular / suspicious doesn't mean fraudulent, etc etc. Maybe it has only been raised as being irregular or suspicious as some twat has taken the bet, or offered up the 10/1 odds, and he's trying to cover his own arse for losing his employer £5k. Incidentally, was there a market on nobody getting sent off and, if so, how much was gambled on that. For all we know the bookies could've lifted a ton of cash on that.....
  11. "Down, down, Broonie's goin down" to Status Quo's.....do I really need to tell ye?
  12. But I guess what the club really really wanted to say was "coupla lying auld caaants done us over big time....fuck them we'll survive on the true loyalty of our fans"
  13. Nijholt always crops up but I'm surprised no-one has mentioned Van der Gaag yet (unless I've missed it?)..... Not saying that is who I'd go for but if we're talking ex-players or somebody other than the usual fuds on the Scottish managerial merry-go round, then why not? Maybe he would bring a fresh Continental approach, could help to bring on the likes of Saunders, Page, Hutchison, etc and before he got punted he gained experience of European football with Maritimo.....not sure what he's doing now though? Just a thought.....
  14. That old boot Cher got it spot on when she sung that tune about C****c...."Gipsy's, tramps, and thieves" I'm not a bigot, that is just what most of them are....
  15. I remembered the goals from that game but not much else, how the hell did it only finish 2-1, could've been a cricket score!!
  16. Just a shame McGhee ( ) wont be around to see us humping them
  17. So when do you think Levein will turn up at Middlesboro
  18. Have never really been a fan of Fitzpatrick over the years but thought he played really well tonight considering he has not had much match time. Hope he gets a chance now to earn a new longer term deal as we have been looking light in the middle of the park recently with Lasley being out and surely the competition can only do us good. I always support the lads regardless of performance but Fitzy never really done it for me in the past, here's hoping it's onwards and upwards for him now and his injuries are behind him....
  19. You should've sat in the main stand then as they were giving away loads of pies with 20 mins to go (including steak ones) 'cos they had made too many
  20. 6-6 game with Hibs....guy next to me says "what's the betting we get a last minute penalty to win it and Forbes misses it?".....well, he was nearly right
  21. Oh FFS..... Why why why would we want Juan Kerr back? I think he might just be a wee bit better than me at fitba (only just tho) and so are most of my mates at the 5's but MFC are not offering any of them an opportunity to earn a deal.... FFS, even on a free I would never want to take him back after he "went to a bigger club" (should read as "took the money and run").
  22. I got in at 3.35 on Saturday and I think they might leave one gate open in each stand until at least half time but not sure.....
