great to see us trying to retain as many players on new contracts as we can.hopefully jennings and hateley will be next as both have been outstanding for much of the season.with these new deals plus the fact we have a couple of players on trial its good to see broonys puttin the work in and planning for next season already
-
somewhere around £10-£15 is about right for a spl game.i know a few well fans that used to be regulars but over the last couple of seasons have hardly set foot in fir park due to the cost.our core support seems to be dropping and itll only get worse if the prices continue the way they have been.we should be doing everything we can to try and get the next generation of fans through the gates.id like to see us give away say 1000 vouchers to different primary schools that would allow the child and a parent in for a £10 that way we could potentially put 2000 onto the gate and the club to make a bit extra that they wouldny normally make and the only expense the club would have to pay for is the cost of printing the vouchers and maybe take on a extra few stewards.we had about 400 falkirk fans sitting in a 4000 capacity stand last week we could easily look to fill that up with school kids and discounts for familys.now is the time for something to be done before its to late

i agree with that mate weve always been pretty suspect at corners from as long as i can remember
-
im no making a big deal about it mate i just think with the defence we have we would be better off having a goalkeeper thats about ruddys size.i still wouldny say no to casillas right enough
-
for me you either need a dominant goalie or 2 big centre halves that will be solid when the ball comes into the box.our defence isny the biggest so we definately need a big keeper for next season thats nothin against fraser who looks like a goalie that needs his centre halves to get the ball away rather than come for it himself.fraser was a bit shaky at times with cross balls and i thought he was a bit at fault for celtics second cause he sort of came for the cross and then stepped back.it was poor defending all round for both goals but you canny blame the keeper for defenders losing the guys they should be marking
-
i like to go to as many away games as possible but there was no way i was forkin out £25 for a game thats on the tele its just no worth it.fair play to the couple of hundred well fans that went though
-
on the radio there sayin the fixtures will be released the night if hearts get atleast a point
-
read his post again ya daft c**t

i never heard her mate but i was sitting at the first section of the east and had to listen to some fud shout shoot everytime one of our players got the ball
-
the service was definately the problem for the strikers on saturday.when we were attacking forbes, lasley and jennings never got goal side when we were attcking and because o'brien had a quiet game there was very little cross balls going in and we resorted to a lot of long balls which never worked all game.a think it was more of a bad day than anything else we couldve played all night and wouldny have scored on saturday
-
why no he helped us to win enough points at the start of the season so i will let him live on that the now
-
forbes is non existant playing left mid its the same as when fitzy plays there they dont have the attributes for that role.for me forbes should be played in behind the strikers where he can thread balls through and have a crack when hes in sight of goal passing and shooting is his strength so it makes sense.a game like today wouldve been ideal for him playing in behind the forwards cause our play was to slow and predictable and there was to much space between murphy and sutton we needed a midfielder further forward.forbes was outstanding earlier in the season where he treated us to some terrific goals and remembering this is his first season at this level so for folk to say hes pish is nonsense
-
the league will be done by then mate so the spl willny give a toss about the fixtures after the slpit.hibs or united at fir park on the last day of the season would be good if the euro places are still undecided
-
anybody with a season ticket planning on bringing somebody along to this game
-
poor showing all round apart from the first 15 minutes when we looked pretty dangerous but after utd went down to 10 men we fell away badly.the players looked flat as there was no urgency or pace about our play maybe no having a game last weekend knocked the players out there stride.i think ive utd beat hibs during the week then 3rd place will be beyond us so a draw there would be a good result with both of them having tricky games next weekend and if we can beat falkirk we could be right in the mix again.we never seemed to turn up for this game giving the importance of it is really diasappointing but giving the run weve been on we canny be to critical of the team
-
craigans playing the best football of his career right now since broony came in so we should definately be gettin him on a new deal.the guy is a top pro with bags of experience and that could be invaluable to help develop the likes of hutchinson and page in the future plus hes motherwell daft which helps
-
considering where we were at the start of the season getting into the top 6 is a great achievement hopefully we can make it a even better season by clinching a european spot
-
it was the semi when butcher was the manager and it was corrigans mistake near the end that allowed maloney to score.that was the worst feeling ive ever had after a well game totally heartbreaking we dominated that night
-
only if u have any pics to back it up
-
if the folk with season tickets brought somebody that doesnt attend fir park on a regular basis and the club dropped the prices to £10 and £5 so that they could attract neautrals and well fans that no longer go due to cost then i think you would see a big crowd.im no sure if well see that big a increase in the crowd with just the season ticket offer alone but fair play on the club for trying something
-
u could be right mate about the rugby putting off a few hearts fans coming through but i dont think it wouldve made any real difference to the attendance cause there support earlier in the season was pretty poor to.its the sign of the times cause hearts and aberdeen havny brought a big support to fir park for a while now
-
spot on mate i know of 6 well fans that used to be regulars but now spend there saturdays in the house and its all down to the cost.when weve been on a decent run of form in the past you would get a few neautrals and floating fans that would turn up but the cost of football now is at a level where no matter how well were doing attendances arent going to increase.the club is going to need to bite the bullet and drop prices cause if were still paying the same prices next season then more folk will be driven away.we need to get the next generation of fans through the gates and if that means letting under 14s in for nothing then so be it
