  1. Could you get anymore patronising if you tried.
  2. Some good points in there.i don't think alexander has a clue about changing formation or tactics,he knows one way to play and that's it,he will stick with the 433 with guys out of position, even when making a sub,it's just player on player off, there's no change in approach.i didn't think we would walk all over sligo but would have enough over the two games,I certainly wasn't expecting us to hardly lay a glove on them,we could still be playing now and wouldn't have scored.i think the most telling thing about tonight was that there was absolutely no reaction to last week,if anything it was worse,I think that's down to some players not being good enough but the players as a whole not interested in player for the manager.like you I don't see him going before sunday but wouldn't be surprised if it was to happen, there's little hope for a manager when the fans turn and judging by the comments I've seen on here and elsewhere tonight,it's a matter of when not if.
  3. Somebody mentioned on here the other day that maguire is just another stuart carswell, they nailed it with that comparison,he's very lucky to still be at a premier league club at what 24.he offers absolutely nothing,I'm not saying cornelius is the answer but atleast he could offer a couple of things that were lacking I'm midfield.

    Alexander.

He had the brass neck to say we were the better team last week and should have won, then it was it's only half time in the tie and we will do better, the fans need to be with us and then it was it's do or die, clearly he's talking and nobody in the dressing room is listening.last week should have been a wake up call and as much as I want alexander gone the players involved over these 2 games have been a disgrace,we can talk about fitness and formations and all that but we should have had enough to get past sligo, clearly these players don't have any professional pride,we have to many strutting about thinking there something.
  5. Your position of defending the undefendable is embarrassing and you predict either a win, loss or draw on sunday,do you do the lottery numbers ?
  6. And when Alexander is gone sooner rather than later will you be breaking an egg on your face? of course not.

    Alexander.

There's no way the club would have handed alexander and his team longer contracts without a back up plan,if they need to sack him the money will be there,no way would have put ourselves into a position where we're stuck with a failing manager.
  8. I think morris will be one of they players come the end of the season,we won't be any wiser what his best position actually is.he reminds me a bit of craig tanner,we might get something out of him in the number 10 position but he can't be played in the front 3,he's got no pace and can't beat a man, like you said it's awkwardly trying to get himself into a position,it's all very stop start having him playing where he is.
  9. You make some really good points there.there is no plan in how we go about things,it's like take to the field and see what happens, what do we actually do all week at training as there's zero evidence of anything on a matchday.the left back issue has annoyed me for a while any manager that re-signs carroll and McGinley should be shown the door for that alone, carroll's performance again tonight was pitiful.unless we have been trying to move odonnell on then the signing of mcginn makes no sense as he isn't any better, all we have succeeded in doing is having one of our highest earners sitting on the bench.
  10. Sadly that's absolutely true,we wouldn't be out the woods by changing manager as the squad is yet again an unbalanced mess, hopefully any new manager coming in would be able to coach us properly for starters, that might be enough to get us going in the right direction atleast.

There's no way back from this,he needs to go.hes assembled a squad that can't defend,no ability to pass there way through the opposition,no pace,no width and no goal threat.give him his nice little pay off and chase him before he does anymore damage if it's possible.
  12. Alexander is a budget gannon, arrogant and clueless, atleast gannon signed some half decent players before he was rumbled.
  13. We've just been easily outplayed by a team lower ranked than us over two games,we never even laid a glove on them, nobody pissed off by this result is dilusional.the writing is on the wall already,if you think this team will turn up and get off to a good start on Sunday then your the dilusional one.
  14. Exactly, clearly there's issues with odonnell but he's better than mcginn, spittal and Morris look like they will offer next to nothing,we could be sitting here come the end of the season wondering where exactly there best positions are, neither were what was needed.
  15. Were such a badly coached outfit, alexander should be made to swim back and pick up his p45.the players need to take there share of the blame for this, hopefully any new manager coming in will get wise to the likes of carroll in no time.
  16. That shot on the tele there says it all, mugabi with his head in his hands and the managerial team all standing by themselves, were a fucking mess.
  17. No width is a serious issue,I'm not slating spittal or morris as they have just came but they offer less of a threat than efford and shields and we then let our only player go that had any real pace leave in woolery.
  18. Absolutely no goal threat whatsoever, were relying on a 31 year old striker and that's it,shocking position to find ourselves in.
  19. I'm all for players taking a shot when it's on but maguire trying it at every opportunity is soul destroying to watch.
  20. I agree with the positions that you think need strengthening but barring any injuries I think we might only add to our forward line.if ojala is crocked again then we might need to bring in another centre half but I wouldn't be surprised we use mcginn there and play odonnell.mcginley is injured but not sure what's up with him,if he's out for a while then we need a left back, ideally one that's better than carroll.central midfield is still a conundrum,we could have 10 players to pick from and nothing would change,we would still play the same way,we have decent enough midfield players for the level we play at but the manager needs to start being more attack minded and not just having a midfield 3 where not one of them offers a threat going forward.a big part of our problem stems from not having midfield runners, last thursday was a casing point,it was just far to boring and predictable,if we had midfielders getting forward it would change the whole flow of the game and get the opposition thinking if nothing else.
  21. I'm happy to have him here longer, there no reason why he can't hit double figures again this season.we really need to be signing another striker to either play beside him or be at a level where it's going to push him to keep performances levels up and stay away from needless suspensions,we don't need someone that will just come in anytime he's unavailable to play and then sit on the bench the rest of the time.shields and efford could be used to partner van veen or another but I wouldn't fancy either leading the line on there own this season.i think we might need to wait until nearer the end of the window for a striker to come in,which is fine if we can get the right one in.

    Alexander.

I'm not a fan of alexander and personality I think he will be gone sooner rather than later,I just don't see anything in this current team,I think performances like thursday we will see far to often this season.the first 7 or 8 fixtures are as good as you could realistically start the season with,if we don't get a decent points return in that time and get past Inverness, then I think the club will have no option but to part ways, lose on thursday and we're heading into the new season on a downer already.i never want a motherwell manager to fail,I would love us to turn the tie around on thursday and get off to a good start in the league but I just don't see it happening.
  23. There's no doubt odonnell is a solid enough spl player but over the peace he's been largely disappointing for us but having said that the signing of mcginn didn't make a great deal of sense as I think there both of a similar level.if odonnell isn't in the first team plans then we should be doing everything we can to move him on,there's no point in having what must be one of our highest earners sitting on the bench whilst we play a player of equal standard.our full back options really are dire.
