i loved seeing vigurs goal again on the highlights if we can get him and faddy linking up like that more often we'll be onto a real winner
-
when we lost 4-1 at dunfermline during the malpas days was a shocker and even though i think we were 5 points ahead with 2 games left to play i honestly thought we were getting relegated leaving east end park that night.
-
nielson has took pelters over this game and rightly so but lawson's part in aberdeen's first goal was a joke the way he got robbed of possession so easily mid way in our half was shocking
-
for a keeper his size his reluctance to come off his line at cross balls is baffling,he needs to start taking charge and command the area rather than hoping the guys in front do it for him
-
i hope we dont go there with the lets just get this game out the way and move on attitude, weve got more than enough players to cause them problems if mccall sets us up right and with the way weve been playing of late it would be a poor show to go there and stick 10 men behind the ball.
-
aye yogi was there manager then im pretty sure it was that pedro moutinho that ripped us apart that day
-
there was nearly 1500 st mirren fans at that game which makes a massive difference to the attendance when it comes to the smaller teams playing each other much like our support at firhill.ross county must have had a decent following at there game too so killie and inverness home support would have been less than ours
-
i know 5 folk that would have been at the game yesterday as normal but couldnt make it due to being skint or unable to get public transport so your talking pish if you dont think some folk had valid reasons for missing this game.our fixture was always going to be the worst crowd due to the fact the others are all seen as derby games so no surprise there.
-
they werent hard to spot the ones that came looking for trouble especially when there singing about celtic soccer casuals so tough luck if some of them got a sore face after the game, but i agree it doesnt paint us in great light either
-
if taking pleasure in a few numptys who obviously came looking for trouble getting a smack makes me a fucking idiot then so be it
-
i heard a few tims got jumped on after the game on there way down to airbles station
-
i wasnt expecting us to get anything from this game but i was expecting some fight and pride in playing for the jersey after last week and we got fucking neither lazy cunts like vigurs and anier can GTF.yet again the shape was all over the place with our midfield totally anonymous,on paper we have a good experienced defence for spl level but for some reason were a total shambles at the back.for me this is only heading 1 way if mccall doesnt sort out some of they players pronto there gonna cost him his job.
-
im no quite in the mccall out camp but i think he has to have a serious think about where were going as a club starting with giving youth more of a chance,as for hartley id hate that wee fanny to be associated with our club
-
yesterday was ideal to give moore another start and to introduce erwin at some stage of the game so for neither to be involved and now both are playing for the under 20s today is baffling
-
angol needs to start making runs in behind the full back and give hammell or whoever the option of playing it in behind theres far too many times he lets the full back stay tight on him or hes too close too hammell
-
there is no excuses for the performance and tactics against st johnstone but im not going to let that cloud my judgement on this game too much as we will make changes and play a formation that suits us best against aberdeen.mccall obviously seen this game as the priority rather than the st johnstone game so he should have the players fired right up but with no old firm left in the cup and a home tie in the quarters thats all the motivation our guys should need
-
with st johnstones problems in central defence we should have been gone there and having a real go at them especially with 2nd place up for grabs,so for mccall to pick a team that had no width, pace or movement in it is baffling.serious improvement needed for midweek or we can forget it
-
bop have you guys got any displays planned maybe the aberdeen cup game perhaps
-
good move for both parties imo our youth setup is needing a bit of a shakeup and a new face will hopefully provide that and gordon gets a new challenge elsewhere, best of luck at your new club gordon
-
even though were at home aberdeen are the team that i wanted to avoid but having said that were more than capable of beating them provided the players turn up which was sadly lacking the last 2 home cup ties against them.a big cup tie under the lights at fir park is always something to look forward too and if its priced correctly then we should see a big crowd on the night
-
i think we should keep it as simple as possible and play cummins at right back along with the rest of the team that started against killie
-
you need a ticket to get into the stadium mate due to the turnstyles they have there,if your going just buy your ticket when you get there thats what most folk do anyway if i mind right they start selling them about 1 oclcok
-
i remember leaving east end park that night thinking we were certs for the drop, that was probably the worst performance ive ever seen from a motherwell team and the whole time malpas was leaning on the side of the dugout not having a scobby what to do.i remember skippy getting sent off im pretty sure reynolds got sent off too
-
there does seem to be a stagnant feeling surrounding our youth system right now
-
there was actually quite a lot of folk in the east stand singing hollis name towards the end of the game which was good too hear
