i think big higdon will do just fine he seems the type that he will need a few competitive games to really build up his fitness to hit top form a bit like john hartson used to.we definately need another striker in though as soon as

its a tough game to start with as its never easy against inverness but if wee murphy is on form then i think he will inspire us to a opening day win

as pre season friendlies go this game was pretty enjoyable with us playing some decent stuff at times and scoring a well worked goal.murphys run in the 2nd half was quality if he had scored we wouldve went on and won the game.we really need another couple of players in pretty quick with a striker being the priority imo

thats a pretty decent move for porter considering his injury problems good luck to the big man.hopefully we see some transfer movement ahead of next saturday

if porter is prepared to come and play for a grand a week then get him signed pronto but its never gonna happen

we should be looking for atleast a million for murphy if clubs dont want to pay it tell them to GTF.hes a big player for us so losing him would be a blow but if we get the right money for him maybe mccall would stand a half decent chance of getting a replacement in even if it is just paying a wage with no fee involved

i think we were always gonna have a smaller squad than last season we couldve easily replaced the 5 or 6 average players that have left with players of a similar standard but hopefully signing 3 or 4 of a better quality will make us a better team.guys like ross and jeffers were always gonna be short term signings casagolda was a waste of time so i dont see any of them as a great loss and now there gone its upto the younger to step up and take there chance.

thats a bit disappointing to hear we could only be getting one more player which will be another defender going by what mccall has been saying.i think we badly need another forward only having two senior stikers in the squad leaves us short

if united are getting £2 million for goodwillie then we should be asking for a similar amount for murphy especially if its premiership teams involved
