    Chants

Thought this one up a couple of months back. Based on the song Sugar Sugar by The Archies, here it is: Jimmy, Jimmy, Jim O'Brien, He loves the Motherwell, Gives all those full-backs hell! link to the original, just in case you ain't heard it: http: www.youtube.com/watch?v=_3cHbfOkyCE Best to sing the wee organ melody after the first two lines as well. Think it sounds pretty good.
  3. At least this gives us five days to bring in some reinforcements, not leaving in us a position like Killie have had when Boyd and Naismith left. his wage cost alone should free up a good bit of budget, add to that 400k in the coffers and although JB will rightly take his share, I'd expect two or three to be with us by the start of next week.
  4. Yep tremendous player for us and agree with what someone said before that he's probably the best front man we've had since TC. Sounds like a good deal for all concerned, let's hope Cardiff gain promotion to the Premiership to show everyone just how good Ports and Rossco really are. A couple of new faces before Feb 3rd and I'm pretty confident we'll finish the season strongly.
  5. A lot will probably hinge on who we lose/get rid of in the window as to who we get in. Only a centre half I think is a given so far. The other two or three we're looking to get in will probably depend on us getting Bob's £1800 off the wage bill and/or Ports being sold to generate some funds. A left sided midfielder would be the next priority I'd say then obviously another striker if Ports goes. Heard we enquired about Killen but didn't like the wages we'd have to pay to get him on loan, surely this must have been a contingency for if the big man goes.
  6. Seven points, two clean sheets and only three points off six place, what a difference ten days make.
  7. Went for Klimpl but special mention for JOB as he embodied the spirit and attitude of the team last night. Those two have been like getting two new players over the last few games. The shape of the team has been so much better since the ITC game and the Accies match feels like a distant memory. Whole back four and Buzz were solid as well, hard to pick one out but Craggs has obviously been working on his 'drop of the shoulder' while he was out. He's getting classier as the years go on. 250th game for the club, well done to him, a great pro.

Agree with what AndrewK said and I'd add that i thought Hammell and Quinn had their best games in a long time too. A good day all round.

    Jim O'brien

I think he is definetly worth a run in the team, he looked far better at right mid and his pace really helped up the tempo of our play. A lot to work on in terms of final ball and decision making but he's got good ability and I was glad to see he got a nice reception when he came off.
  10. Just to say, hope you're in good voice tomorrow lads. Inverness away and on Monday night were your best efforts of the season so far. We need the team do their part but they need us to do ours too.
  11. I'd say that they we're playing, ticket costs, t.v coverage, time of year and finally the time of kick off (in that order), means we'll be lucky to take 800 tomorrow. That's if of course it's on at all. Does anyone know how there park has been this year? Always looked alright on there Setanta games so far. My team if it does go ahead by the way would be: -----------------------Buzz---------------------- -'Saunderos'--Craigan--Klimpl---Reynolds-- ----Hughes---------Lasley------Fitzpatrick---- ---Murphy----------Porter------Clarkson------ Subs: Neilsen, McGarry, Quinn, Malcolm, Sutton, Hammell, McHugh
  12. Has good ability but his attitude to fitness has always worried me, least we're expressing an interest in someone. A right back and striking replacement for Ports would be more of a priority in my book though. By that I don't mean a big man up top, quite the opposite really, a small poacher type to play off Sutton. In the, dare i say it, Paul McGrillen mould i was thinking. Now there's something you don't hear every day.
  13. It's okay with it being a night game, we'll no doubt have the kids from Knowetop working on the pitch, to ensure it's survival.
  14. Don't think MMG rates him that highly to be honest. If he could have got a centre half in the summer I doubt he would have played this year. I think him and Klimpl could be a decent partnership for the rest of the season, let the too lightweight Reynolds play in midfield next to Keith. It makes a lot of sense to me this one. Would allow Hughes play further forward and give us a more solid base when from which to play from. Also hope McLean is back soon, but I've heard it could be a good while yet. To me our good end to last season was in no small part due to his run in the team at right back, he seemed to get better with each game. A real shame for the big guy.
