  1. Could you no try it for one game Fal Dosser then I won't have you shouting in my ear for ninety minutes. See you on Saturday. Mon the Dossers.
  2. I think Stevie Craigen opened that gate in the East stand and let him in when the poor wee soul of a linesman wisnae looking. Think the same officials saw "Boydie" obstructing Zemmamma wi' an elbow in the face at Castle Greyskull as well. Don't think they will have any pictures in the Daily Ranger of that one either.
  3. It might also have been the Vice-Presidents club which was situated upstairs in the Main stand. My father-in-law was a member in there a few years ago. Membership got you into their own bar and also included a seat in the main stand in the Vice-presidents box if my memory serves me right. It is still on the go Alan ?? Mon the Dossers.
  4. Working this afternoon and had to listen to Clyde as the radio at work canny pick up Radio Scotland on 810 MW. Interesting point At half time the pundits were saying we are signing Michael McGlinchy during this coming week on loan till the end of the season. They seemed to think it is more or less a done deal and were slevering about how good a player he was before he went to ? Australia. Apparently Sir Alex tried to sign him but he opted for the Smelltic.
  5. The example of Norwich looks like a great idea if we could get it up and running. Anything that gets Well fans and management working in tandem has got to be a good idea in my opinion. Push on Leeann lets get something up and running.
  6. Numpty, whilst not disagreeing with your sentiments I still think we have to include supporters who don't have or don't use the internet. I know for a fact that of the fans who sit beside me in the East stand only Fal Dosser and myself visit this site. There are lots of good Well fans there who would have some good ideas to offer regarding the club and I feel they should also be included in any initiative. I don't think as somebody suggested before that you can just have fans turning up to put their questions to the Club but we have to try to include some fans who are not represented by any of the present organisations. The big problem as I see it is how do you manage to do that ??
  7. Sorry to disagre with you Tweed but I think Leeann's suggestion of a Supporters forum is a great idea. Not every Well fan is a member of this site, FPC or the Trust and their views are just as important as anybody elses. Some fans could possibly not even have access to the internet but this should not preclude them from having an input. The main problem I see is how do you select the fans who are going to be part of it. We all knew of folk on here who just like to start an argument for the sake of it and that's the type we really need to make sure are not involved. I agree that a Q&A section is a good idea and we could try to ensure that only sensible questions were put forward to the club. Good luck with this initiative Leeann. Mon the Dossers.
  8. Definite naw. wi that moanin faced git at the helm we'd have the team running out to some Leonard Cohen anthem and the floodlights kept off to save money.
  9. Thanks for the update Leeann. Best of luck with the mopping up.
  10. East stand for me but I think I may have to move next season because I have a couple of complete Numpties behind me who keep bawling at folk to sit down. You know who you are !!!!!!

    Celtic

Got to be big Ruddy with Jennings, Hateley and Lukas also doing well. The Duke is really beginning to look like a player now and his ability to control the ball and keep it till somebody can support is terrific to watch. Only hope we can hold onto him till the end of the season .
  12. Who mentioned anything about Boyle stepping aside to let somebody else in ??? What was said was that Gannon needs some support ( i.e.money) to bolster the squad with a couple of experienced players to help bring on the young guys. Now we've got comments about crooks wanting to sell Fir Park and John Boyle stepping aside. FFS try to look a bit more positive. We've got a team of young guys who are on a learning curve and a wee bit of help in the way of support wouldn't go amiss. I thought young Meechan and Pollock did O.K. today aginst a team of experienced international players albeit maybe it wasn't the game I would have chosen to give them their debut; but then again Jamie Pollock has now had two run-outs for the first team -- against Man Utd and Celtic ( two Champions League sides. Not too bad for a 17 year old. Mon the Dossers.
  13. I don't understand why Gannon is being subjected to all the media hype about referees. After the game on Saturday everybody and their dug slagged Muir for his performance ( Levein, Gannon, The BBC, Teletext and every "journalist " in every paper I read over the weekend and on Monday) but it's Gannon who's getting the flak. I think the Rancid's nose is out of joint because he has pointed out that their leading "journalists" i.e. Keevins & Traynor are arseholes who know nothing about football and seem to think the world revolves around their mindless rants in the paper. From what I've seen and heard since he arrived I don't think Gannon is the type to make up a scenario with Dallas for no reason. I'll be interested to see the response from Dallas and Smith about his latest statement. I'm with Gannon on this one. It's about time somebody spoke up about the standard of refereeing in the SPL. Mon the Dossers
  14. Always felt that a mixture of Romance and Barlennium ryegrass mixture with added slender creeping red fescue was what was needed to sort out the problem with leaf spot. Glad we have a groundsman who is on the ball.
  15. Don't see the problem with Gannon not travelling on the team bus to Accies on Saturday. Was it not quoted on here that he was living in Hamilton at present ?? If so why would he go over to Motherwell to travel back across the Clyde on the team bus ?? Keep the faith. I think Mr Gannon will be here for a reasonable length of time to see what he can achieve with a good bunch of talented young players. His CV will look a lot better to prospective employers if he can keep the Dossers in the position thay are in just now given the situation when he took over.
  16. IF you had anything to back up your rumour - mongering then maybe folk on here would take you seriously. HOTD for this now please.
  17. Read the last sentence of young Slane's reply.
  18. I think that's the whole point eddiesteelman. What starts out as a wee bit of idle gossip on here gets picked up by somebody who puts their own slant on it and before you know it a young laddie who has hardly broken through to the first team has become an arrogant, unsettling influence who canny wait to pull on the hoops and is desperate to follow his childhood heroes. We don't know what is going on behind the scenes and probably it's better that way. What will be will be but at the moment young Slane is injured and canny play FOR ANYBODY so why don't we just wait till he's fit again and see what happens. We would be better trying to gee up the team before the game at the Tattiebowl than starting a thread which will only encourage the unhappy clappy brigade to spout their ideas. Mon the Dossers
  19. Think Hibs have more to worry about than us. He's referreed 6 of our games at an average of 1 booking per game. He's referreed 6 of their games at an average or 2.83 bookings per game. Surely we canny be getting a ref that is on our side.
  20. Apart from Skippy Sunday neither of the Scum have filled the Cooper since Setanta (AKA Old Firm Away TV ) started broadcasting Scottish games. Before they came along Fir Park was nearly always full when the Scum came visiting.

    Signing #7

"there's a buzz about the place" Did he no go to Brighton during the close season. I'll get my coat.
  22. My old man started taking me to see the Dossers during the era of the Ancell babes. He took me all the time but would never take me when we played the Old Firm as he didn't want me mixing with the scum that followed them. I didn't like it at the time but I can see where he was coming from. I started taking my two to see the Well and both are now Dosser fans. One of the main reasons I took them was beacause I didn't wan't them eventually travelling into Glasgow to watch the OF. My son would probably have been brainwashed into going to Ibrox by his schoolfriends in Airdrie ( or maybe even The Excelsior) Another reason was that I felt that they wouldn't be subjected to the bile and hatred that is spouted at football matches (usually involving the OF) I was of the opinion that this wouldn't happen at Fir Park and to a degree that has been the case until recently. They are now old enough to make their own decisions about where they want to go and I'm sure they will always be Dossers. There is another thread on this site where people are asking when should I take my kids to the game. I know some posters are saying they will hear as bad at school but if we are being honest do we really want our young kids coming up to us and sayiny " Dad what's a paedophile" I know I don't. I wasn't at the game and can't really comment on what was chanted but from the replies on here there were unsavoury chants coming from the Well support. Is this really the image we want to give to anybody and especially our own future support. I don't think so. Mon the Dossers. Keep Fir Park scum free.
  23. Fatcalf they should be buying them anyway. It isn't every team that has a member of the literati in their ranks.
  24. Matt with all these weans on here who don't know about the history of the club and haven't read the books maybe we should devote a section on here for lessons on what a Dosser should know. I'm sure you could tell it as it is in an amusing and interesting fashion. Mon the Dossers ( AKA Steelmen )
