I'm not sure about the long term prospects for Fir Park but I can tell you that the efforts that went in to getting the game on today were phenominal. It was a game which financially, all at the club could ill afford to lose. The work done by Leeann and her team, particularly Ian Wilson and his ground staff was way above and beyond the call of duty. At The Well Shop we were desperate for the game to go ahead and these guys performed minor miracles in achieving this, although its clear from these comments that conditions were not great. Our sincere thanks go to all involved in the effort. The press are very quick to criticise the Club when games don't go ahead even though those involved have made every effort. It would be nice if they would recognise these efforts when they are successful. Can't see it making for great soundbytes though. Alan Provan The Well Shop

We are open today but I would advise against travelling unless you live close by. The roads around the area are still pretty bad. We are planning to open late nights from next Monday through until the 23rd to allow those who have had difficulty in getting to us a chance to get that essential MFC Christmas purchase. We are still able to process internet orders as well so why not take the stress out of shopping and have it delivered instead.

Hi, As some of you may know, The Well Shop was closed all day today as the M74 and expressways were at a standstill and our staff sat there for most of the day (along with many of you I presume). I'm sorry you feel this way. Whilst I understand it was frustrating for you, I feel I must explain on behalf of my staff. Both customers claimed to be at the front of the queue and in a very busy shop it wasn't possible for us to tell who was first as we were serving other customers at the time so we had to sell to the customer holding the programme. If you wish, I could try to get you another programme. I was trying to explain this to you at the time but you wouldn't wait for a discussion. Assuming you got the shirt printed with us in the Well Shop, then the numbers are the official SPL version. The trophy at the bottom is a representation of the SPL trophy.
