  1. Does Mr Hagi still have any connection with the club? He was one of my main footballing idols when i was growing up?
  2. Yes i believe that McLeish said we'd received a fax with various players mentioned that went onto bigger things in the Premiership - we just couldn't afford or didn't follow up due to size of list of players. I believe it was Guus himself who declared that he applied for the job when McLean left the club but don't believe he got interviewed. Think it was mentioned in an interview with either the Record or the Sun.
  3. It's not like Nancy is up there with Vegas but we still had a vintage time there. Vienna = Beer Halls & Austrian Burds = MINT Budapest = Meant to be a great city, outside Euro so cheap as chips and possible trip via Amsterdam = MINT Brøndby = Danish burds = MINT Bucharest & Sofia & Tromsø = should be a great adventure = MINT FC Flora & Dinamo Minsk - jury is out
  4. Hope we get Ujpest - my folks know the manager
  5. Am pretty sure Belarus is tricky - think you need to contact the hotel first and get them to invite you to the country before applying for a visa. Did any one go to the Scotland game there a few years back? Bulgaria, Romania, Austria & Hungry & Denmark should be all fine to get too. Flora & Tromsø IL were in our previous pots from memory?? Flora are actually beating the seeded team in our pot, so potentially we could play against a side lower in the rankings than us.
  6. Just give me a shout if it doesn't work - it's gotta be a hardware thing because our's worked on the first attempt. Maplin will no doubt have the cable cheaper than PC World, just went and got it after work, so only PC World was open.
  7. Oui but mine's works ok - i got the cable from PC World, think it was £18 or £28(i say I but i really mean the burd got it)
  8. Got the cable tonight to hook my laptop upto my TV - quality of picture was much better than i expected, roll on tomorrow night!!
  9. You think? When Manchester City played in the old Second Division(League 1 nowadays), the football was better than watching the Scottish Premier. That was 10 years ago and we had money to buy players back then!! On a different note, it's amazing how many adopted fans we're picking up this pre-season!!
  10. Maybe the Albanians don't suffer from moaningitis like the majority of our fans do - they might suffer from overhypeitis....am here aww week
  11. Cut the Albanians some slack, i bet everyone who makes the away leg will have a great time in Vlore and a good tan......lucky cants!!!!
  12. Only problem with these types of services is it is usually too late when you know they are going tits up. Most insolvencies are staged to protect the owners rather than creditors. It is a big racket and a very dirty game. Everyone gets fecked over apart from Insolvency Practitioner, Accountants, and owners if the job is done well. As told to me by someone who works in Insolvency game. Over to Lynda Block for ways to "massage" the figures in Financial Records.
  13. Premiership youngsters have to start somewhere, not many youngsters manage to force their way past the likes of Tevez, Robinho, Rooney, Torres, Terry, Lampard etc etc in their early days. There must be a huge number of youngsters that have started with Premiership clubs and been freed/sold then made their name in the lower leagues before eventually returning back to the big-time over the years.
  14. Tell that to Portsmouth, Scottish Rugby Union, South African Rugby Union, Scottish Football Assocation and the various Rugby clubs throughout the UK who have all been hit lately with the same problems as Motherwell. It's quite clearly not as easy as you're making out to prevent such issues.
  15. I know ah guy who can get us some quality knitwear to play in
  16. Does anyone know if the game is being shown live on any channels?
  17. You could do most of this by podcast to kick-off, cheap and cheerful and also lets you see what kinda of numbers you're looking at audience wise
  18. I'd say aye (although dependent on costs) and but also on the understanding that i get the Lovejoy role on Motherwell's version of 'Soccer AM' meets 'Something For The Weekend' Lynda Block from on here will fill the Simon Rimmer role doing the cooking. Any nice looking burds oot there to fill the Helen Chamberlain/Amanda Hamilton/Jenni Falconer role? Looking forward to the festive dance-off already!!!
  19. I found reference to a £54.5M (four year deal signed in 2006) which would have expired this season 2009/2010 season. They had agreed a further four year (2010/2011 to 2013/2014) which was for £125M
  20. Saša Ćurčić - he scored more than the entire Motherwell squad Oh hang on, that's a different sort of player
  21. Alloa at Fir Park 96/97 season, League Cup - believe we were beaten on PKs and their leading goalscorer missed the match because he was being held hostage in a prison riot(Willie Irvine??).
  22. FAO: Purestate and all the other over-reacting fans on here
  23. I agree with that but Hammell could be pushed into Left Midfield
