Who is to say, that we wont replace them with similar or better players/staff? To be fair those who appear to have left are nothing but mediocre players who have been overrated by the media & ourselves. The likes of Smith, McLean, Kimpl, Porter etc etc were hardly household names when they signed for us and I don't recall a rush of excitment when they signed. Now that they have left, we suddenly think the world has caved in on us. Sorry but there's plenty more mediocre players out there to replace them. We might not know them now but in two years time, we'll be having the same discussions about these new guys. Hughes was your classic over-hyped Ex-Old Firm player - who will continue to get over-hyped reviews by the Scottish media. Was he any better than Simo or even Ged Brannan when he was the darling of the Well Fans??? Clarkson spent seasons getting dogs-abuse from our own support - yet now it's all we can't go on etc etc. We're so fickle!!!

As mentioned elsewhere on the board....there's some amount of drama queens on this board!!! I'll give you a done deal ...Kevin McBride to Hibs, stick a monkey on it. To be confirmed next week.
-
If it's a done deal why haven't both clubs issued press statements on subject? Also from looking at Bristol City forums, they appear to be getting more information about this "deal" from quotes from here. They also seem to be linked with Lee Miller.

I deserve a 2nd Leg ticket just for being pretty - nowt to do with how much i spend following Motherwell Bet ye everyone who really wants to see the match - will see the match!!!
-
Since we know our potential Second Round opposition - will the club be provisionally arranging travel plans for the 2nd Round and will they announce any proposed plans? Just so we have a rough idea about costs etc
-
Swine - get me a ticket!!!

We are seeded in 2nd & 3rd rounds.

Llanelli would obviously be the dream tie. Inter Baki appears to be the toughest match but perhaps the nicest city to visit. Azerbaijan is also an Islamic country so possibly nae booze allowed except in hotels???? - NAW ditch that, there's actually a Scottish pub there called Caledonia Bar, owned by someone from Montrose!!!!! Yerevan(FC Banants) looks ok and is the country's capital city. It appears to have decent airlinks to many European cities, so maybe some reasonable flights. Yerevan also has a square for us to party in by the looks of things!!! Narva is closer to St Petersburg than Tallin - so could be a fecker to get there. It also appears to be the poorest of the cities/towns so could also be dodgyville.

Two trips to Aberdeen and home matches at Boxing Day/New Years - happy days

Everyday's a school day

I was under the impression that McAllister was a Well Fan - i remember him being interviewed and saying that Joe Wark and Willie Pettigrew were his footballing heros. The interview wasn't associated with Motherwell either.

I guess the club will receive/interview other applicants that we'll never know about too

I heard we made an enquiry for Willie McStay but he was getting paid mare money at Celtic. He's now off to Hungary to manage some Celtic feeder club.

Did Nick Griffin win a seat in the dug-oot tae?

Again you also have to look into the way the press cover stories. Using Robinho at Man City, he's always being linked with moves away, the latest headline on the Sky Sports reported he wanted to play for Barcelona. Headline was 'Robinho admits Barca appeal' ...'City star casts doubt over future at Eastlands' The players actual quote about playing for Barcelona (which was obvioulsy a reply to a question asked by a reporter) was "The only thing I can say is that Barcelona are a great team and everybody would love to play for them." He ended his interview by saying ""I left because I was not happy. I do not regret the decision and I'm comfortable at Manchester City." regards his move from Real Madrid. His comments are truthful, Barcelona are a great team and everyone would love to play for them. Now is he whoring himself or his he simply responding to a reporter's question truthfully and the interview is being hyped into something more?? Point - Don't be mis-led by media spin and hype

Did McDonald really do anything that wrong? He was playing with a side that nearly got relegated when Rangers tried to buy him - he took a hissy at not being allowed to leave. If we had been relegated, the Rangers offer may have been his final chance to play for a bigger team. If so, he would have been justified to be bitter.
-
Says who, he may have been a Fir Park regular when he was doing his coaching badges at Largs???
-
Cut him some slack - he's doing the same thing as many a Motherwell player, coach and manager have done over the years and will continue to do so for the long-term future. If someone like Chris McCart is appointed, will we gloss over him leaving to join Celtic last year to further his career? Luc Nijholt as a player left to further his career by joining Swindon and has left a few other clubs in his management career. It's part and parcel with football.....it even happens to clubs like Manyoo, as a certain Ronaldo is currently proving. People move on, thats life. Mark McGhee - thanks for the two seasons in charge and hopefully he can challenge the scum firm (along with our new messiah) this season.

Unless Jose Mourinho or someone of that stature applies

What Would You Do If You Owned Motherwell Fc
Infamous Wee Grafter replied to Well Well's topic in Club Chat
Buy Celtic & Rangers and whip up a PR storm about signing every major player under the sun....then decide on shutting down both clubs and keeping the grounds for my mates to play World Cuppy(singles or doubles depending on numbers), 7 & By (Heiders and Volleys only) and of course 25-a-side, jumpers for goalposts games. -
