I believe all Scottish sides will be seeded up until final Qualifying Round, thanks to Scotland's ranking. Falkirk could start in either 2nd Round or Play-off Round depending on result of Cup Final
-
There's no official confirmation of format even on uefa.com as far as i can see. The Second Round draw is also the 22nd June, so they will have some form of complex Regional Groupings to do both draws. If not, we could end up playing in Kazakhstan in both 1st & 2nd Round(they have sides in both rounds) which doesn't make good finanical sense at a time when the world is in recession.
-
It's my understanding that the 1st & 2nd Rounds will be regionalised so therefore our 1st Round Game will probably be against someone from Wales, Northern Ireland, Faroe Islands or Luxembourg.

That who i would have liked too. As for Aberdeen, i wouldn't be surprised to see Lee Richardson gettin' the job there

It's Celtic, they always take the cheap option. If McGhee can take us to third with no money.....then am sure he'll win the league with their money. Have you seen how bad Rangers are(some of their players cannae even scramble a egg,BROADFOOT, BROADFOOT, BROADFOOT)???? Celtic hordes are fickle and thick, they'll love McGhee....they don't like Strachan because he's not a "Celtic man", even though he won 6 trophies(including three championships in four years) and qualification to the later rounds of the Champions League....that's mare than Martin O'Neill ever did but they see him as a god!!!!.
-
Au revoir Mark McGhee .....next season could be horrible

Club News - Direct From Fir Park

A safe-standing section would be nice too -
Standing Areas / Dunfermline Fans
Infamous Wee Grafter replied to Infamous Wee Grafter's topic in Club Chat
Example of Safe-Standing In theory the existing seats could remain - just additional framework added to existing set-up. For European Games, they would force us to use the seat(as applied today). But i ain't no safe-standing expert -
Interesting news from the Dunfermline fans....we and every other club in Scotland should follow suit. Scotsman Story

All together now, we're paying for his taxi, oh we're paying for his taxi

With Morecombe's recent decision to install safe-standing, it would suggest that there's a legal loop-hole for clubs to get around all-seater stadiums. I think Morecombe's decision will create a domino effect down south and these areas will appear all over the country(fingers crossed). My understanding is that the Taylor Report was only ever a recommendation and not actually passed as UK Law. Anyone confirm this?

Chuckle, chuckle, nice reply. We'd get arrested!!!

Here here - why don't the MST take up the bold incentive of introducing a Safe-Standing Section at Fir Park(or the new ground). If you're looking to attract new members, be ambitious and use your weight with those in power. A campaign for this, may make non-members stand up and take interest in the MST....if not then at least we might have a Safe-Standing section for you to say, "we did that". sorry for the three posts(oops make that 4 posts)...just a topic that has done my heid in.

Am one of these "trend breakers" and have never broken a chair in 20 years of supporting Motherwell. The friends i attend matches are also aged between 25-32 and to my knowledge have only broken a chair through over-emotion(celebrating a goal/losing a goal, etc)accidentially. To suggest that anyone who stands-up to quietly or vocally support their team(and this has been happening since the East Stand became seated, not just 1 or 2 seasons) were behind the broken chairs at Tynecastle is insulting. I would also like to point out that i know at least two Motherwell Supporter Trust committee members who bought season-tickets in the back-row of the East Stand to allow them to stand(as mentioned on this very site), therefore were the Motherwell Supporter Trust committee behind the Tynecastle broken chair incident???? I'd also like to point out that the original incident i discussed did not involve anyone from the East Stand Baby Crew or the supporters formally known as Well Boys. Just a lad with his friends watching the game(minding his/their own business and causing no-one any harm nor offense).

Morecombe FC intend to install safe-standing at their ground in the next few months. I also believe Rubgy League/Rubgy Union clubs have terraces. Even the mighty English Premiership couldn't prevent Fulham using their terrace on promotion to the Premeirship around 2001/2002
-
Tell that to the 1000 active policemen/policewomen(sorry "pricks" who break the rules) with criminal convictions. Most of the time you have to stand because your view is blocked by stewards & police
-
Should have been 3-1 up at half-time and in the end were lucky to win 2-1. For me though, the day soured by more crazy stewarding/police action against standing. I've supported the club for nearly 20 years and these muppets are making me think about not attending home matches. I reckon at one point today, we had around 10 stewards and a 2 policemen surrounding one person for standing. The lad in question was causing no offense to anyone in the surrounding area or blocking anyone's view. If something serious actually did happen in the East Stand, it would be interesting to see how long it took them to get to the incident because they are too busy fannying around the bottom two sections.
