  1. Ah well, it was a nice thought MON RA DOSSERS
  2. Actually surprised to see that Dumpdee Utd's fortunes seem to follow a trend similar to ours. A tremendous season all things considered - hats off to Gannon for giving us belief in ourselves after MMG's defection, and massive plaudits to Jack & Victor for turning the confidence of the team from what seemed to be a downward spiral. Looking forward to seeing what J & V can do with us next season MON RA DOSSERS
  3. Al B - when you talk sense, you talk sense - to emphasise the point (as if it was needed !) Swinecastle is a ground I've visited often in recent times as their pricing structure was about right (£16 (ish) and £10 for the nipper) - lunchtime today was thinking of going and checked the prices on the official site and baulked at the £22 + the nipper = pennies just too tight to justify. I'll be back at FP next season, and the season after, and after, ...., but if action isn't taken to arrest the falling numbers, it could take years to put right. MON RA DOSSERS
  4. Sooperb result today - Hibs a FP could well be massive now as the Teds are poor, and as much as Hibs have toiled recently, they should be capable of at least a draw tomorrow - I know that if we play as we can, I wouldn't have any fears about playing the Currants at home or away. Just my luck that the change of the Hibs game to 5th May screws me up as I can't make that night Back to the Tattie Howkers next week and we're due a result against them this season MON RA DOSSERS
  5. Same scenario - ended up getting him the home top along with my home top from the sale to make up for his spend. MON RA DOSSERS
  6. Dumpdee is one of the few away grounds I go to, but I've seen this scenario way too many times as well Still, like getting that win when we're on the telly, lady luck has to shine on us eventually, so why not next week MON RA DOSSERS
  7. Crackin' part of the world - the wee fella (who's nearly as big as me now ) often wears the Dossers colours along with his auld Da - even that far up, there's too many of the Squirm, although it's mainly folk visiting the park - have seen som kids with the Dossers strips so may well have been up at the same time as you guys. Well fans here Well fans there Well fans every .......... MON RA DOSSERS
  8. Nah nothing that grand - got a caravan in Embo, the wee village just outside Dornoch - been going up for years and got to know some of the local traders who mostly are County fans and are quite happy to talk all things Dosser MON RA DOSSERS
  9. Remember watching this in what turned out to be Buns pub in Falkirk - sweet sweet day I'm away on hols from 9th April, so well chuffed if game is now gonna be on telly - now where's a Smellic pub in Dornoch MON RA DOSSERS
  10. Go ..... no go ..... go ...... no go GO MON RA DOSSERS
  11. Agreed Just switched the game on and Pitcrappie is no way any better than FP - be interesting to see if the media go ape shit about it in the way they've had a go at us MON RA DOSSERS

    John Ruddy

Agree there Flow - I thought Buzz was a very good keeper, but one who had still a bit to do which would have made him top drawer - Ruddy however, has shown already that he's a more rounded keeper for his age, and there's no doubt the guy has a big future ahead of him, if he chooses the right moves. Any chance of signing him on a 5 year deal that would include schooling at Knowetop Craig Gordon's too injury prone. And back on topic, I was only a nipper, and memory may be clouding the judgement, But Keith McCrae still takes some beating MON RA DOSSERS
  13. All sounds good, but I'd need to head over to the East for the kick off, before heading back for my half time snack - repeat action for 2nd half. either that or I'd need to be gagged for the 90mins MON RA DOSSERS
  14. Pretty gutted we didn't win and that's without seeing the footage of the 'goal'. What i can content myself though is we won the plaudits last night by playing football - even Craig Paterson and Dodds were commenting on the fact that we tried and succeeded in playing the game the way it should be played, crap surface or not. They played at the Midden's reasonable surface on saturday and equally as bad. The Currants used to be a force to be wary off, but I honestly would fancy our chances any time we played them - let's face it, they have a presence because of what they were, not what they are. I'll settle back in the moral high ground and wait patiently for the next game. MON RA DOSSERS
  15. Easy way round this would be to offer the team who have the free kick the option of moving anything up to 10 yards, or not at all if preferred. Anything to stop players standing in front of the ball or kicking the ball away MON RA DOSSERS
  16. Exactly what crossed my mind we'll just need to get it right this time MON RA DOSSERS
  17. CD - for what it's worth, I think it's a cracking idea, albeit it's had a slow start. If I still lived in the immediate area, I'd certainly be interested in spending a couple of hours watching a rerun of an away game, as I tend to pick and choose these games due to the cost. If there's a downside, and it's already been mentioned, if we lose the game, I've no doubt this would affect the size of the audience - I don't even watch the highlights on the telly when we are defeated. One possible option to get round this would be to screen a game, or even highlights, from years gone by, maybe with a live game from Sky\ESPN. Another option would to make it a family affair with Sunday lunch available - accept this is a difficult one as food would have to be prepared and ready, and numbers would dictate if it was successful or not, but I know my missus wouldn't be overly encouraging if I disappeared on a Sunday, after potentially doing my 'own' thing on the Saturday. Just a couple of thoughts, but hope you stick with it, and it becomes a regular, and popular, occurence. MON RA DOSSERS
  18. Found my original copy recently when I was moving my old LPs & 45s up the loft - may ne wrong, but sure the singer was Stuart somebody or other (may well have been Kennedy) Was well pleased that I still have the team fotie that came with it as well MON RA DOSSERS
  19. I'd be tempted to give Jack & Victor the opportunity to see out the season at least. By all accounts, we played well yesterday (as well as getting a superb win), but it'll only take a couple of poor results for many to start the 'sack the manager' pish - we need a bit of stability again, and these guys are seasoned pros, so give them the time they need, and let's get right behind them. MON RA DOSSERS
  20. How did you guys enjoy being in the main stand rather than behind the goal ? MON RA DOSSERS
  21. FFS I knew I should've gone MON RA DOSSERS
  22. ONE JACK & VICTOR THERES ONLY ONE .... MON RA DOSSERS
  23. A couple of Jambo mates who are usually regulars at away games have told me they aint going today - was surpised given their result against Smellic, but the general impression seems to be that they have been rank so far this season, and enjoyable as it was on Wed, they reckon the result is just papering over the cracks of a piss poor team. As bad as we were on Tuesday, I've been pleased with us this season, so I'll write it (& last Sat) off as bad days at the office. If we start right, we can win this one MON RA DOSSERS
  24. 2 years ago already What a night that was - complete blew the Hibbees away and Rossco's goal against big Makashocka was sheer class Repeat on saturday would do nicely MON RA DOSSERS
