  1. The local rivalry was always Airdrie, with the Accies and Albion Rovers almost being thought of quaint, but going to the footie in the late 60's\early 70's helped develop a a deep loathing of the Jambos that endures to this day. Have to say that as i now live in Falkirk, there's a fair bit of pleasure when we turn them over MON RA DOSSERS

Thought Roooooddy, Hately and JOB were our standouts today but will go for big Roooooody, not just for the saves just after the penalty, but he looked sharp throughout and took a good few cross balls as well On the whole, we didn't play that well, in fact, probably the poorest I've seen, but for all the Arabs possession, they didn't trouble us too often Superb result MON RA DOSSERS

Hutch must have been gutted to miss the game but it gave us the opprtunity to see how good Saunders could be in the centre of defence. We don't have the biggest sqad in the world but definetly encouraging to know that some of the guys can be switched around without impacting on the strengths we have And a speedy recovery Mr Slane - looking forward to seeing you back in the squad. 4. 1st time I've come accross the track and it's excellent - fitting tribute for Uncle Phil For what it's worth, thought the Tommy Burns song was also worth hearing. MON RA DOSSERS
  5. Agreed I'd love if the Sheep came to FP and were taken apart by JG's team and not a word\song was uttered against MMG\Leitch\Meldrum - they've made their bed, let them stew in it, but the press will be waiting for the even the most minor of taunts, so they can make another set of headlines against us What's the chances MON RA DOSSERS
  6. I watched the highlights a wee while ago and realised that I obviously had gone to another game for almost 80 mins - could've sworn that we got out of our half at least once in that period Bigot 2some lives on, strong as ever, and I'm proud that I contribute to this via my TV licence - in fact if BBC Scotland want to give me even a small rebate in the fee, I'll go on to park and rugby tackle any of our players who have the audacity to think of showing up the glorious twosome - God only knows how they'd have managed to edit out the penalty if JOB had scored MON RA DOSSERS
  7. I go to most home games, but I know where you're coming from - as I posted elsewhere, the footie's great to watch and I'm really looking forward to the next game. Here's hoping there are more through the season who get the bug back like yourself MON RA DOSSERS
  8. By the time I got out from the middle of the East and made my way round towards the POD direction, there were indeed a large number of Rangers fans making their way from the POD - may have been a good idea, but looked like the police were only 'playing' at making a show of keeping them back. That said, didn't see any hassle MON RA DOSSERS

I really can't make a vote on this, simply as we had too many players who contibuted so much - by and large, the keeper & defence were assured way beyond their years, midfield were superb, and the front men put in a decent shift. Up now, i've also been in the 'undecided' box with regards to Jennings, and was almost a little fearsome when he came on at half time - he well and truly blew that out the water - he had a great 2nd half. We'll have many difficult games to come, starting next week, but I haven't looked forward to going to games so much for some time - well, one and a half years anyway Trying to save the pennies, but may venture up to Arabland MON RA DOSSERS
  10. Good to know there's a Well presence doon the watter and I'm not alone when I'm visiting Rothesay - as usual, way too many Squirm fans on the island MON RA DOSSERS
  11. If Forbes keeps going at this rate, the Bigots will want to buy him for £19.50, with a fiver add on when he plays 200 games and then gets sold on for 19.5 million Get them all on long term screw the Bigots contracts asap MON RA DOSSERS
  12. Heard this on the radio as well, some demolition taking place about Haggs\Castlecary (?) - alternatively, take the back road through Greengairs\Slammannan into Falkirk and work your way on to the M9 Whatever, leave in plenty of time MON RA DOSSERS
  13. Kind words Somes Was pleased we readdressed a lot of the issues from the 1st game when we were well turned over by a very good team, but we showed last night that we can compete against teams of Steaus's quality - no doubt the better team has progressed to the next round, but we certainly didn't deserve to lose last night. The lesson to take away from last night is to be as clinical as Steaua were when they did get the opportunities. I'm not going to make rash predictions for the season ahead other than say, if we play some football we showed last night, we won't be that far off the mark MON RA DOSSERS
  14. Agree with most of what's already been said - big Sutton looks like he's enjoying his footie life again, Reynolds & Coke superb in the middle, Hammell assured, Hutchison playing with confidence, Murphy et al etc etc. But went for Forbes on the night - for such a relatively young guy to put in that kind of performance against seasoned Euro campaigners was tremendous - the guy will have lows as well as these highs, but with the guidance of the right people (step forward Mr Gannon), this guy could be heading for big things MON RA DOSSERS
  15. Cheers Wee fella didn't see the game - if only big Sutton's header had gone in, but a good save from a keepr who had little to do. MON RA DOSSERS
  16. not sure if anyones posted this, but are there highlights anywhere MON RA DOSSERS
  17. I wish - closest I got to Bucharest was the stream on this damn PC Still, looking out my passport for the return leg in your neck of the woods MON RA DOSSERS
  18. Wise words that man (or lass ) MON RA DOSSERS
  19. Agreed - I liked Buzz, but this guy LOOKS like a keeper - big, strong, talker etc A big plus from a night when we were taught a wee bit of a lesson in moving the ball about - can only do our youngsters good Beaten, but we won't meet that quality often, if at all in the SPL MON RA DOSSERS
  20. Try this - good for me http://www.justin.tv/ana0ana
  21. Brilliantly worked 2nd goal but we're surrendering way too much space in the midfield - stern talking to at HT and game finishes 3-1 I would take that or better if it was on offer just now Mon Ra Ruddy MON RA DOSSERS

    Paul Mcgrillen

Literally just been told by a Jambo work mate asking if our club's cursed - totally taken aback that another ex-player should lose his life at such a young age. At this point in time, thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP
