I've always been a fan of Reynolds! Think he has all the attributes to be a class defender! Maybe missing a bit of nastiness in his game tho as can be to nice but a move for him this month would be beneficial to both club and player! This is a boy we should back 100% as he is a consummate pro! He has been through a lot in his short career which we cannot underestimate like Phils death! He has played over 200 first team games all this when you consider he was thrownin at the deep end after injuries to Kinniburgh, Bobby Donnelly, Craggs etc! But maybe he has become a bit stale of late and a change could see him back to a strong level! We have moaned a lot recently about loyalty, players don't come much more loyal than Reynolds!

Whoever thinks Aberdeen will have the money to sign Jamie Murphy must be mad. There signings so far, include David McNamee, some laddie from the Glenn Hoddle Soccer Acadamy and a cast off from Morecombe in Tony Capaldi. Blackman 'may' be a good signing for them, if he can fit into there style. To me thats a big if, I would be more concerened if they where signing a Lucas Jutkiewicz. Blackman isnt a bad player at all but recently he has offered very little, he could go to Aberdeen and do the same. Browns signings, Randolph apart at Motherwell werent exactly outstanding. McGlinchey was Shite Charalambous who knows. Casagolda who knows Gow in my opinion, shite. Blackman, decent but he knew hee haw about him and signed him on word of mouth by Sam Allardyce. Randolph was the only one a pulled out a hat, advice from Dailly. Even the players we were linked to during the summer Chris Shuker et al arent exactly outstanding quality. Lets not be fooled Aberdeen are spending a lot more than us on wages but who is to say the quality is any good. If they started signings players like Griffiths, Davidson and Harkins i would be gutted but the players so far arent exactly fear inspiring. Its more the man Brown and Knox himself who are the main catalysts and I personally think that will wear off. They still have players like Considine, Diamond, Yoann Folly in there team. Come the summer if they lose McGuire on a pre contract then they will struggle.

I'm disappointed but far from surprised at Nick going to Aberdeen! Brown really has shown his integrity cap is pretty loose! The only saving grace for me would be if he did take Gow with him also as this would free up more cash and allow us to play as more of a team! We have been relying too heavily on those two to create our chances but they have been failing! Give me Sutton and Murphy up top any day!

My midfield/forwards would be, thinking Nick is away, -------- Jenno ------- Lasley---------- ---------------Forbes------------------ Humphrey---------------------Murphy ----------------Sutton------------------ Murphy was playing well when he was further forward on the left of the strikeforce. The past few games under Young and the weekend with Mccall he was more of a Orthodox left winger/left mid which isnt his position. This would be a strong team with plenty of creativity. What Forbes would provide is the actual ability to bring Humphrey and Murphy into the game with his passing ability and use there strengths, running into space at pace. Recently Murphy and Humphrey have had to drop back to collect the ball and not been able to really get down and get at players. Dont give them as much defensive duties. What we are playing just now is Humphrey---- Lasley----Hately---Murphy --------------------Gow--------------------- ------------------Blackman----------------- This isnt allowing our two natural attackin wide players to get at teams. Half they time they are two far back. P.s. Sorry if I dont agree with your ooh so well thought out and educated post Busta.

I agree 100%. A three man midfield would work well. I might got a tonne of abuse here but I would play Forbes in the there in a position where he doesnt have to do the dirty work and let his ability on the ball be his main weapon.

Me and my old boy are heading up as per usual, love the Scottish cup away days. Good atmophere is a must to spur the boys on. If we take about 1500-2000 then the crowd will be about 6500 I think. Think we have a chance to take that many to the game tbh.

No he is not. He would be even worse than Ross Forbes on the left wing, as I believe Forbes might actually be faster than someone. Gow has made lots of noises to the fact that his preferred position is in the hole behind a striker. Where he has been playing recently and apart from setting up Lasleys goal he has provided the sum total of diddly squat. His failure to retain possesion is causing us no end of problems especially without Jenno to win the ball back. Playing him on the left wing would be a disaster.

Fitzpatrick I would keep no doubt! Steady reliable versatile squad player! Maybes not a first choice but worth a deal. Blackman, clearly has talent and ability but his head at the moment seems really down after Brown and Knox have left. If he stays I would expect a lot more than he has offered recently! Gow I wouldn't give a game to in my amateur team! Clearly had ability but is not a team player! Offers very very little and loses possession so so easily! Sutton is twice the player and offers more on a bad day than Gow does! Would be interesting to see how many games we have won with Gow starting! I can't believe we haven't started with the same team that beat St Johnstone 4-0 since that game and haven't win since!

Really cant argue with what anyone has said about today! That was bloody dire in the extreme! Every attack we had broke down when the ball went to Alan 'one man show' Gow! He couldnt retain the ball and for the second game against this mob has been completely ineffectual! Also Nick Blackman looks completely disinterested! Time to buck up or ship out son! As has been mentioned Sutton made a difference when he came on, could actually hold the ball up and win a header! I'm really worried for the rest of the season! This really isn't good enough!
