  1. Don't let fact get in the way of a good criticism now...
  2. Cant wait for this game to be honest. Going to be a tough one but fancy us to take the 3 pts, 2-0 Well.
  3. I've transferred the Cash to Busta's account. Can you let me know if received when you get the chance. Cheers.
  4. Is Craig Reid fit soon..... He can play centre mid.....
  5. And exactly how the fuck can you tell that.....
  6. Well said Joe, ridiculous to write the lad off. I personally think he is a very good prospect who has a lot of ability and potential to progress. A lot more forward thinking than Lasley or Carswell was. Let's give the lad a chance. Plus he's a Well fan so all the better.
  7. Early information from a reliable source is that Pearo is out for minimum 4 months.
  8. He seems to be getting played in a more suitable position and has the benefit of Pearo to get box to box. Last year too much was being asked from him.
  9. Andy how else can you pay other than PayPal?
  10. I will be up for it Andy. In London for work but will do it when home on Friday. Cheers.
  11. Singing Karaoke in a bar in L'Derry going by his tweets...
  12. I'm not Lasleys greatest fan of late but he looked for sharp last night playing in the deep sitting role. He looks fit and strong. Might have life in the old dog yet if he plays the holding role.
  13. Who you going to drop for the new central midfielder???
  14. Came home from the game quietly optimistic for the new season. Some really positive stuff tonight with some decent football played and chances made. Agree with Suprawell, Watt to me looks a right player, solid with a cracking distribution. Jack Leitch also played really well when he came on, always looking to get on the ball and play a pass, great ball thru for Moult to finish well, maybe he can change Barracloughs mind about needing another midfielder. Fletcher looks a good hold up striker potentially more suited to the lone striker role, however Moult just seems to have a little something extra, movement and touch just seems a step a head, I really think him and Skippy could become a potent partnership. Marvin looks sharp and so did Lionel in his cameo. Infact the full team look fit and for a friendly it was played at a decent tempo. That is a decent Preston side with some good players like Garner, Kilkenny & Beckford, no mugs at all but we were the better side. However some disappointing aspects, McDonald seemed really really deep, sometimes the deepest of the 3 midfielders, more in a holding role. Dan looked shaky and our standard frailty of a ball in the box was still evident, he doesnt look confident at all coming for the ball and had no presence. I thought both Law & Hammell played well, pushing high up the pitch and overlapping the wide players but final ball let them both down. Overall tho a lot more positives than negatives and I think this will be an enjoyable season of football to watch.
  15. Nay, Trialist is an outfield player.
  16. I think he's Albanian and Deco was just trying to capture some urban theme and life into his photography. Pretty Avant Garde of our forums resident Ansel Adams if you ask me!!
  17. I'm sure last time one of the reasons Samson didn't join was he was told by McCall that Hollis was getting his chance as No1 and he would be No2. (Would put me off playing 2nd fiddle to holocaust Hollis to be fair) Killie then guaranteed him the no1 spot and he joined them. That plus I don't think we were overly impressive in our approach as mentioned by OTF. He was decent at St Mirren but shite at Killie.... Not sure if I want him tbh.
  18. 1-0 to Well, goal from Lionel.
  19. Marvin & Fletcher start today. Dan Watt Laing Kennedy Hammell Ainsworth Lasley Pearson Johnson Fletcher Moore
  20. Bulking up..... Running fast.... The Ricky Sbragia model of a football player. Ideally every player would be 6ft plus athletes but in real life that ain't going to happen. Think of a Jimmy Johnstone, Jim Baxter, Bobby Russell, hell even a Davie Cooper. Some of the greatest players this country has ever produced. They weren't the quickest or biggest(Coops derrière aside) but these guys made it. I appreciate the modern game is different in style but the ethos is the same, let the ball players play. Thomas is a ball player, who too me isn't scared, he may not be the biggest but he will take a hit and get back up. A good coach will get the best out of what he has, give me a Dom Thomas or dare I say it an Iain Vigurs over a Craig Reid, Simon Ramsden, Fraser Kerr, bloody hell an Omar Daley any day of the week. Before you all say but they are defenders they did all okay midfield or on the wing ahead of Dom last year........!!! (Daley aside of course, used him as an example of big & fast winger)
  21. Really I thought he was a club legend!!
