Another one who picks up injuries regular is Fraser Kerr. He missed a chunk last year and for a young lad picks up a load of injuries aswell.

Nah, we aren't really..... All football fans are the same at each club.

Defence is one area of the team that I know hee haw about our young/squad players.... I would be "comfortable" if Lasley/Sutton/Vigurs/Carswell etc got injured as we kind of know what Leitch/Erwin etc have to offer. We clearly have no other left backs in the youth as the lad Ferguson as SMc said is right footed and was playing out of position. Unfortunately I do know what Cummins has to offer and it doesnt fill me with much hope or joy.....

How the feck can we have 5 players injured in the space of 7 days!!! All defenders aswell. Just listened to McCalls interview, doesn't sound confident for many to be for next week!!! The new young head physio has his work cut out for him!! Can we have JP back on a short term loan deal please.

Go to agree Ian I am completely bemused at the moment. The team selection is baws. Dont usually read twitter but notice a post from two days ago that the manager was going to email everyone yesterday..... Did this happen and I just miss it.

That's where we differ, I genuinely couldn't see SMc giving a 16yr old a game ahead of Ramsden or McManus like Utd did with Souttar over Dillon etc or say if we had Robertson giving him a shot ahead Hammell. Erwin looked really decent in the first leg but didn't get a sniff in the second leg when really we needed that extra attacking impetus. Thomas got a shot in a friendly yes but not a sniff either game but instead Kerr the flying winger was introduced twice!! McCall will play youngsters but only if he really has too with squad restrictions, injuries etc.

Saw the video of that aswell.... The young lad getting volleyed on the head was a beauty... Good little tear up. Didn't realise either till then that Craggs was the manager.

TBH I see where Ya Bezzer is coming from. SMc is the type of manager who would rather persevere with an out of form Sutton than play a promising young striker. I couldn't see him dropping Sutts for say Erwin. In your Opinion Graeme do you think if John Soutter, Ryan Gauld or the lad Robertson had been Motherwell players they would have played as often last year?. I genuinely don't. At the start of last year it was clear SMc didn't have the faith to play Carswell as he signed Lawson for the exact same role. Why?? We had no need of Lawson as Carsy had shown he was able. He got his chance thru injury and didn't leave the team! Lawson signing has proven absolutely pointless! I always hark back to Mark Reynolds scenario, he was only given a chance due to terrible injuries and was the 6th choice as centre half. Got his chance and never looked back. You don't know if youngsters are good enough until they are given a shot.

Dan Burn would be a tremendous signing for us. Played a lot of games with Yeovil, Birmingham and although struggled in the PL would walk it up here. He might be tall but he ain't no Kevin James!!

God knows, maybe our poor wee pet lambs are tired and need a weekend off or a weekend away team bonding on more of our cash. I'm usually in the middle of the 'happy clappers' to the 'panty wetters' but now I'm heading towards the 'apathetic clapper wetters' who don't give a fuck anymore.

That's how I see the top 6 and bottom 6 being for teams. Order wise maybe Swap StJ for Utd and St Mirren for Accies. Think the best we can hope for is 5th or 6th. One thing for sure is that we will concede plenty again, hopefully score plenty also.

I think G&F is being rather generous with our training as far as I know we also get Mon & Weds off..... This is a huge difference as other clubs I believe have two days of double sessions. I remember last year reading Higdons interview after moving to Holland. His biggest difference in transition was getting used to double sessions 5 days a week. He lost over a Stone in a couple of months. That's huge for a pro footballer. Back in the successful Rangers team under Souness and Walter Smith it was a known fact that they believed in team morale being as important if not more so than physical training. Basically that ethos was the team that drinks together, plays together and they had a rather large drinking culture but also a team of winners. I'm not saying we have that at Fir Park but I believe an element of that Ethos has travelled with SMc to our club. More of an emphasis on a happy squad than on a fitness, well drilled tactical squad. This clearly has benefits over the course of a season but I think there has to be a balance which I do not believe we have reached. I also agree with a comment Brazilian made, the players this year look a bit fitter.... But they don't look sharp which has ultimately cost us a fortune.

What we need and what we get are going to be two totally different beasts now..... I actually think we won't bring anymore than one player in if anything now.
