don't fully agree with this big lad. I agree on the fact that he has been a disappointment but I think last week and the Aberdeen home game he is exactly what we needed to break down a stubborn defence. He is the only player in the midfield who has or even considers a forward pass or tries something different. Even in a few games he hasn't played well he has still been at the heart of our decent play. The blame for his performances in my eyes and opinion lies with SMc as he cannot find a system to suit his ability. He's played him, central, left, left central and on the right. Never letting him settle then dropping him the following week. His best performance was in preseason against Newcastle I think playing in behind the front two. Play him somewhere he can cause a problem !!! Same can be said bout Faddy. I've said or a few weeks we need to consider going 3 at th back with 5 across the middle and I stand by this for tomorrow's game. Ramsden Hutch McManus Kerr. Lawson. Hammell Lasley. Vigurs Faddy or Moore Sutton This means we have an extra option in the middle for a forward pass and hopefully provide a bit of link up play. No pace other than Moore to buzz around and offer direct running. Lot of work for Kerr and Hammy but the don't have to hit he bye line as would give Vigurs and Las protection for going forward without having to wirk back. This is similar to what Ross County played last year and got the best from the two players... We then have options with Carswell, Anier, Moore to freshen it up. I see on a lot of the threads people blaming Faddy/ Vigurs/Lawson an awful lot, to me someone who has been very poor this year has been Lasley, no forward drive and constantly slowing play down. He has been caught out of position on a few occasions also. Against Dons in the cup his pass making decisions were awful.

2-0 Celtic, we will be shite, play the long ball which Van Dyk and Ambrose will eat up. I would play a different formation tbh a 3-5-2. Ramsden(if fit) - Hutch - McManus Kerr & Hammell at wing backs Lawson holding Lasley & Vigurs Faddy or Moore up top behind Sutton If we are going to play long ball and thru the middle at least give us a chance. Put Faddy somewhere he can hurt teams and doesn't need to work as much.....

Never mind alternative systems he needs to find A system and work on it. He has no balance and the constant chopping and changing of midfield and playing players out of position when it's clearly my working is certainly not helping us!!!

Had a night to sleep on it ......... Woke up to 6 msgs giving me pelters even from Airdrie supporting mates!! This is going to be a runner I think!! Thought I would still find it funny today but I'm actually angrier than I thought I would be.... Listening to the guys at the games thoughts have just pissed me off. Our unprofessionalism for this tie and lack of interest is actually disgusting and the financial implications could be severe. One of my main concerns this year has been the lack of fitness in our team compared to others and if anything it should have been the full time SPL team pushing late for a goal not the 3rd div team(SPFL & 2nd I know) but from what I am hearing the AR lads looked as got as we did which is worrying. My old boy returns from Thailand today oblivious to the score and I am actually dreading the phone call to let him know. He's already in a stinking mood about the team this year, could tip him over the edge....

I would do the latter Andy.... Build from the beginning. We won't get relegated now that's for a sure. Maybe playing the young ones and no Europe next year might actually benefit us as a club.

That team today was not disrespectful to AR as we had 5 internationals or former internationals in the starting line up..... It was a team that should have won comfortably... But it's a cup game. Do you know something I am actually sitting laughing more than anything and that's more worrying for me. Had 5 texts from OF supporting mates and in laws already and it's just going to get worse.

Erwin got left out of the Arbroath cup game as Motherwell refused permission to play him, so as far as I'm aware he isn't cup tied!! I think SMc will play McHugh and Moore up top. Hopefully Moore keeps getting into the right positions and puts a couple away.
