My gripe with McCall in big Cup games is that he sets up to stop the other team winning NOT for Motherwell to win the game. Then it doesn't go to plan and he has no Plan B.... Gutting.

I can't actually explain what formation we played in the first half. Some sort of 4-4-2 without a right midfielder. At half time we changed to a flat 4-4-2 with Lionel on the right but Dons changed their shape to 3-5-1 and completely nullified us. Lots and lots of crosses in the box finding no-one in particular.

Absolutely abysmal.... You just knew exactly what was going to happen. The tactical nous of McCall in a cup strikes again..... What a pish pish poor performance. No urgency and very little passion. All credit to Aberdeen defended excellantly and played the game perfectly.

That team actually bores me looking at it.... Where is the creativity and flair?? Who is playing in the right of midfield??

Same Ref tonight who gave them two penalties at FP in the league game!!!

Full team is having a poor day. St J coping better with the conditions without a doubt.

He was our most creative player!!. He did give it away but grew into the game 2nd half and played well, considering he isn't a right winger. Far from pants!!!

Played it for the first time today just before the corner that Hutch scored from..... Great result today, should have been clear by more but all credit to Hearts they defended resolutely until wee Moore scored an absolute worldy.... First touch and boom into the roof of the net from 20 yards.. outstanding 10 seconds after coming on. Thought we put them under a lot of pressure from set pieces and was good to score, the quality of Vigurs deliveries was exceptional. I personally thought he came onto a great game 2nd half, gave the ball away a few times overall mind you but his touch and skill is great to watch, almost all of our passing moves came thru him. Lasley had an outstanding game aswell and again I though Ramsden was decent. Big Gunnar also played solid enough and had no chance at their deflected goal. Good three points and a good game.. Oooh special mention for another absolute holocaust of a referee..... him and his bumbling lino's where awful.

I don't necessarily think we are ALL missing it Al. IMO Neilsen in the very few games he has played is a better keeper than Hollis. He looks more comfortable and is more commanding. BUT I Imo I don't think Hollis has done enough to be dropped. He has played well so far.

Loved that game. Big Sieb had a stormer. I'm sure we had a couple of thousand fans at the game that day. 30k+ Celtic fans singing you'll never walk alone and wee Doug's nutmegs Muggleton on the 9th min to shut them up. One of my best memories as a Well fan. Loved it.

Not believing the propaganda machine but I am believing the 3-1 defeat to them earlier in the season and they looked decent. We have progressed since then so it should make for a good game. Hopefully not on the TV so they bring a good support down!

Would go with a similar team. Would put Moore on the bench. Would like to see him given a good run out, maybe 25mins or so. He scored at that level consistently last year and had been scoring regular for the u-20's. Team has plenty still about it.

Yup and can't get a look in at Scotland u21 behind a ream of Hearts and Celtic players. Another great performance and to an extent playing kind of out of position at times, ie wide right. Big lad was top class , he really gives us a strength in midfield we have missed since Jenno, he is solid. Went 50/50 with Goodwin(cock) yesterday and put him in his arse. My MOTM yesterday tho was actually Hammy. Played out of position but thought he played really really well at RB. Would have been Las but he very nearly cost is a pen with a silly lunge!

Started both games for them. First up front with Henrik and played bout 65mins 2nd played full 90.

Heading through to this with Sieb snr at the weekend and quite looking forward to it. This international pish is just an unwanted distraction from the gid stuff. In saying that Saints will be a harder proposition than a few folk are thinking I fee. Still have some decent players like McGowan, Thomson etc. I would like to think McManus can nullify Thompson and would stick Carsy on McGowan. Think this will be a wee desmond 2-2. Oh and I'm also going to give Goodwin his usual torrent of abuse.... prick that he is.
