We really need to come flying out the traps on Sunday. Hit them straight away with pace. We simply cannot let them dictate the pace and tempo of the game as they will beat us. Bocanegro and Goian aren't quick so getting down and turning them thru the middle should be the key. One thing for certain will be required is a strong ref. There diving whinging tactics need to be curtailed. Starve Jelavic off the ball to feet and close them down quickly will be the key which is where Lasley and Jenno come in.

Delighted with that result. What a strike by TH. Not overly enamoured with the performanc mind you. Some nice stuff played but St's and they had a lot of possesion. Our forward three where poor altogh we did create 4 or 5 good chances Humphrey was rotten, looks injured and should have been pulled after bout 60 mins, if we had anyone else to bring on of course. Higdon wasnt allowed to play by Brines and seemed scared to take the ball into his feet and hold up play, his second touch was nearly a tackle every time. Murphy was wasted out wide left, the FB had him pegged that he was going to cut inside every time and cut out the supply very well. Nicky Law was the pick of the midfield, should have scored in the first half after being 1-1 with samson but both Craggs and Hutch were immense. Won everything in the air and there blocks and clearing headers where tremendous. Mention also to Forbes, had a solid game and very rarely gave possesion way. Also his rasper of a strike would have been a beauty if Samson hadnt got a hand to it. Defo justified his incusion bnut as a few folk mentioned previously the lack of mobility with him and Jenno was pretty obvious to see when it came to closing play down. Great support through today. Wellboys where top class again. All in all a very good result and delighted to be the first to beat that mob.

Anyone else reading the match thread on P&B about this game haha. Hilarious, they are genuinely thinking they are top 3 or 4 material this year. We need to get down and attack then today, use our pace to exploit there 'silky' soccer.

Expected the big lad to make an impact on the team this year. Gutted for him. He's a big string lad here's hoping that he returns fitter and stronger. As someone else has mentioned it's a bad week for injuries McGregor of St Mirren too that list also.

After reading the Pie and Bovril thread for this game I'm changing my prediction. We are going to get pumped. They are an amazing team full of world class English Premier league International Superstars............... seemingly. My god they are honestly a bunch of complete nuggets. I seriously hope we burst there bubble at the weekend.

Who is the ref for today's game.

One of my fave moments of last season involved Goodwillie and to me highlights why I don't think he will be a top class player. Big Hutch infront of the Well dugout took the ball and man in a crunching tackle in the cup game at FP and Goodie just sat on the ground shaking his head. He never kicked a ball after that. Shat it the rest of the game from Hutch. He has talent, not in question. He is decent but not much else in my opinion. His attitude absolutley stinks from the high heavens. To me he is all that is wrong with modern footballers.
