That might not bad thing tho. I think Higdon will be more disciplined in his role as a striker. Not as likely to run around chasing every lost cause. You will know where he is meant to be and where he should be. I liked Sutts but sometimes he infuriated me as he would be out wide far to often leaving nobody in the central position. Having a disciplined central point of attack could lead to players like Law and Murphy having more space to create and move into channels. Isolating them one on one with the full backs and other defenders. I can well imagine a lot of the East Stand slaver brigade will soon be screaming and bawling calling Higdon lazy but to me it could be what we need. Similar to what the much esteemed Porter did during his time at the club.

Slight difference there Mad Dog I think from signing some Cypriot tank commander to a person who previously played for Tottenham Hotspur.

Between the Dons, Dunfermline and Kilmarnock for me. Think Aberdeen will seriously struggle this year.

I think big Saunders will be more utilised as a centre half this year, replacing Craigan when injured or given a break. From what I've heard thats where Mccall see's his future. I've got a lot of time for Saunders, think he could really mature into a quality defender. Plus his height and heading ability will give us an extra dimension from corners. The thought of Saunders, Hutch and Big Higdon at Set Peices is pretty tasty. Few goals in there. I've been hearing very very good and positive reports about the lad Devlin. Guy I work with was referring to him as the Dumbarton Cafu. Think he could be used similar this year to the way Utd used the lad Douglas when he stepped up from Queens. Maybe playig in a few games and on the bench quite a lot.

In the papers today that Alexei Eremenko is playing as a trialist for Leeds in this game at the weekend. Cracking player, you wonder why he has to play trial matches.

I personally think both Murphy and the wee prick are much of a muchest. I have never watched Goodwillie play against Well and thought he was outstanding. Both good young Scottish talents, Murphy faster with more skill and Goidwillie is prob more powerful . What was there goals ratios like last year.

I really like the look of that team Jimmo. Except for the inexperienced central defense that is. Our midfield and forwards in that team would cuase problems for 90% of the league. Potential also to swap Murphy with Law and mix it up a bit going to a 4-4-2 etc. Good times.
