Games a bogey. Was standing in the Spar or Nisa as it is now in Bellshill this morning. Two guys having a chat at the paper stand, both guys I would guess as mid to late 50's. Ist guy says, 'you seen the state ae Murrawell toon centre?' other mutant replies 'naw, how', Ist drongo 'it's aaw Murrawell shit, fur da cup final' Mutanto 2 'Dats shocking it's a Sellick toon an aw' At which point I proceeded to burst out laughing and replied 'the clues in the name for fuck sake, Motherwell town Centre'. Both looked at me with blank expressions that could only have been gained from 30yrs of standing in a dole queue!!! Sums these Fuckwits up.

I know exactly where you are coming from Finlay but I just feel that after the success this year that it could be a year that we play hard ball. We do not have to sell players this year to make ends meet, the cup runs have saw to that. Maybe time to say £2.5m starting price. Then let the usual bargaining begin and get around £1.5m for him. I agree £1m is a hell of a lot of cash to this club but fuck it £1.5-£2m is better. We are in a relatively strong position at the moment let's take advantage of it.

£1m from an EPL side is buttons, let's try and get double that at least. Do what everyone else does, get the best money poss. Or take £1m and Danny Wilson on loan for a season ;-)

Have taken Friday and Monday off work. Going for a round of golf and a beer on Friday. Played Golf the Friday before the final in 91. 10 of us meeting on the Saturday morning at mine then heading to Jack D's for opening time. A few little refreshments, not much of course as i want to be sober for the game. Then heading on the bus into Hampden.

Fair enough. I read the papers, I watch the news, I listen to the radio. I might be daft enough but everyone is different. It will over shadow it for me and I care. It means as much to me Motherwell being in the Final and I personally crave a level playing field which I know will never occur in the West of Scotland and I know this week the empathy and sympathy will be directed towards Celtic and there manager and very little will be mentioned of the tremendous achievement of our club to make it there. I want Motherwell to win the Scottish Cup as it would mean the world to our club but with the attention it's getting I feel this will be overshadowed and our club will not get the due focus and attention. Again Scottish football losing due to one person!

Thing is tho Jay and Andy will we get as much positive press this week due to all the goings on. This cup final is going to become the Neil Lennon show between now and next Sat with a smattering of Motherwell interest. ESP if they fail to win the league. The main focus will be on the poor wee soul Lennon having won nothing and all the hardship he has had to endure???? I can see our part being but a bit part in the media circus surrounding that troglodyte. As you say this should be a complete party time for us but we will be under major scrutiny through no fault of our own. Such a massive occasion and it will be overshadowed by the bile created by the perennial victims.

This final will be all about Lennon from now until the game wether they win the league or not. Its doing my head in already. I won't be able to stop myself from abusing him ESP with 30000 of them singing his name. Fucking better not take the shine off our day. Cock.

This is just going to be one big massive Neil Lennon love in on Sunday. Unfortunately I feel last nights incident will have a knock on effect on the Celtic players, they appear to love Lennon and as such will bust a gut for him to won something for him. I think they will give 100% plus in both games we have left against them And I agree with Ya Beezer above this half baked effort we have been producing will result in a pumping. Just in from that. Lucky to escape with a point tonight in my opinion, really offered very little going forward, missing Murphy badly, Sutton far to isolated up front on his own. The team looked very disjointed and did not appear to me as if they enjoyed playing the 4-5-1 formation again. Also Randolph unable to take his bye kicks so clearly carrying and injury and Humphrey looked in the 2nd half as if he was struggling aswell. Dont know what it was but even at the end when the players were doing there lap of honour there was hardly a smile amongst them. They all look really down. Our goal was a massive defelction and there goal was far far too easy. Celtic on form will tear us a new one on Sunday and also in the final. Best performer tonight I would say was Craggs, hardly put a foot wrong. Thougfht our midfield trio of jennings, Hately and Lasley where all pretty poor, Las the best of a bad bunch. All in all pretty disappointing last game at home, typical turgid nothing to play for pish, unless you count pride and a place in the biggest Cup Competition in the Country. That obviously doesnt matter to them.

100% on the fucking button. Think back to the atmosphere of 91. The Town should be trying to recreate that, but unfortunately there is too many of 'them' in positions of authority to push the boat out. I asked my sister if my neice and nephews primary school where doing anything for the final, posters or anything to support the club and the blunt answer is no they are doing hee haw. Not even interested. This is a great time to get folk onto backing the team and creating a younger generation of supporters who can hang onto the Glory years of winning the cup in 2011.

Crazy move for Jenno if you ask me. They are losing a lot off players and I just don't see them as a step up from us at all. They are in a lot of financial trouble aswell and seriously need to cut the wage bill. They won't pay much more than us £1k a week at most. Tbh I like Jenno as a player, solid midfielder but I think he is infinately more replaceable that Sutton, Randolph, Murphy, Humphrey or Hutch. Jenno would be a great re-signing but I wouldn't lose a load if sleep if he went. Hately is starting to play well inthe centre and offers more creatively, the lad Carswell looks a prospect and we still have Innes aswell to return after a season of first team footie at Albion. I re-iterate I would love him to stay but not at the expense of the wage structure and if he moves to Utd then personally I don't think it's a good move for him but I would wish him all the best. Out of a matter of interest does anyone know how many games he had missed for us due to Suspension. Think im right in sayin it's 7 games this season alone.

My fever hasnt my diminished but my confidence in a result have dropped dramatically! Sure a lot of people might be the same! Not necessarily a bad thing mind you as a lot of peoples expectations where maybe slightly high and will make it even sweeter if we get a result.

Our run if good form looks to be sliding at the wrong time. Trying to think what's the best thing to do. Play our first team till the end of the season to keep form or chop and change team and formation to stop injuries keep players fresh and run the risk of getting pumped.
